I am just so deeply sad for her tonight... Maybe its just being here so close to where she lived... And Andy being the only one that spoke tonight... More people surely loved/cared for her. Where were they tonight? Maybe too tired from the search?

I am at a loss for words, I feel exactly the same way.

Just curious are the PE guys searching with her brother and others? They should be, imo.

Who Controls Disposition of Remains in CO?
Back to topic from earlier today. Colorado statutes give a decedent the right to make own legally binding preferences known in a written document.*
Appears SM’s disposition wishes, if expressed in declaration, will or other doc executed in CO or IN would be recognized in CO.**
Order: Decedent by her written declaration. If none, then spouse, adult children, parents, adult sibs. <--- imo, as of now, per below.*** Disputes are resolved thru the probate ct.
jm2cts. As always, welcoming comment, clarification, correction esp'ly from our legal professionals.

_______________________________________________________
* "The declarant may specify, in a declaration ...: (a) The disposition to be made of the declarant's last remains;"
(b) The person appointed to direct the disposition;..."
CO Rev Stat § 15-19-104 (2018)

**Interstate effect of declaration. Presumes CO resident intends to have declaration recognized in other states; provides for similar declarations executed in other states to be recognized in CO.
CO Rev Stat § 15-19-108 (2016)

*** Right to control disposition of remains, per this list in descending order:
a. Decedent thru written declaration (like ^) or will, trust, or Pwr of Atty, dox, subject to certain formalities.
b. Personal rep of decedent's estate, or nominee for pers rep.
c. Surviving spouse, if not legally separated.
d. Majority of the surviving adult children.
e. Majority of the surviving parents or legal guardians of the decedent, who shall act in writing.
f. Majority of the surviving adult siblings. .CO Rev Stat § 15-19-106 (2016)

It’s long been a social media rumor. Just came out in this DM article yesterday.

Businesses near Suzanne Morphew's husband's hotel share CCTV | Daily Mail Online

In an interview last week, Gentile, who has now relocated to South Dakota, confirmed the room stank of chlorine and added: 'I'm scared of Barry. I don't want to see him again, ever again.'
I was hoping a significant OTHER would surface to tell all ! Be it a woman or man.
MG made it very plain in her interview , she was not the other woman .

I've never volunteered for a search, but I can only imagine the locals there doing it for the first time might indeed be overcome with some pretty gut wrenching emotion after spending the day searching for a (likely) deceased woman, or items relating to the case. That's huge. And my hat is off to all of you, stepping up. ♥
I’ve been on several searches here in FL and it’s very emotionally draining and physically demanding not to mention the heat and bugs - I wouldn’t go To a vigil Even if there was one (there wasn’t) on the same day - it’s tough and I admire all of them for their efforts

This is such an emotional time for you. It brings me to tears and I am not even there. I can imagine the sadness because of the unnecessary death of a young mother.

Were you able to connect with any other WS'ers? I hope some of you can share your emotions together to help you get through this.

Get some sleep..tomorrow is another day. Thanks for being there. Sending hugs.

Thanks for this GordianKnot. Weird because in most search pics almost no one is wearing masks.

Good point. Maybe they don't have to wear masks in open spaces?

I'm not sure, but I think Tyler associated the number limitation being r/t to covid restrictions...maybe there was another reason they limited the number of attendees at the vigil, though?

He said something about the masks right before he talked about the number of people being limited, but I was sort of tuned out mentally and didn't catch it all.

Did anyone else hear what he said about them limiting the number of people there?

Speaking of not being used to the elevation, here is my mother hen reminder to please stay hydrated, especially if you are not used to the elevation. Also, please watch your footing carefully. We don’t want any twisted ankles or worse. :) Good luck everyone. We know of many prior cases where volunteer searchers were very successful.
To our searchers: @NoSI
Great tips, and also if you’re in good health take aspirin the next few days to aid with the high elevation symptoms.

Being scared but yet letting it out where she's going/relocating to?
Not sure if MG is letting it out or maybe people sleuthed her . She may be kind of reckless with her privacy settings on her social media. JMO I can still believe she is afraid of him and perhaps feels safe a few states away.

We’re talking in generalities here, and not referencing specific people.

People do in fact help others either commit crimes, or get away with them. It is a completely logical theory, and one with plenty of precedent.

Whether due to loyalty, fear, or the promise of money, this sort of thing happens.
Agreed. ^^^

And if anyone assisted BM and flushing them out helps us find Suzanne -- and justice if warranted; I'm all for it.
Based on the scant evidence at hand, I think this was a one man operation .
But if LE say otherwise, that could all change.
Imo.

BBM:

Actually, that's also untrue.

We have a report by MG that two men connected to BM approached her after SM's disappearance and talked to her about not wanting to give the appearance of paying her "hush-hush money," and that they also told her she didn't have to hand her phone over to LE.

It sounds to me like we have every reason to question whether or not BM's friends have been covering for him.

There may be a lot of people in CYA mode as of now.

You were there. Surely the spirit of Suzanne felt that. I know I did.

I agree, You make a valid point, but you missed the bigger point I was trying to make; we have no reason to suggest BMs friends would involve themselves in covering up SMs murder, IMO we shouldn’t imply that they would.
Didn’t Barry’s friends attempt to intimidate Morgan Gentile as a witness and discourage her from turning over information to authorities? Sounds as if they were involving themselves.

@GordianKnot was fast and beat me to the reply.

And how are there 544 searchers, 2/3 of them local, yet most aren’t there for the vigil? I understand being tired from 2 days of searching and another day tomorrow, so I don’t mean to point fingers.

But my question is:

Are these searchers emotionally attached to SM or do they want this murder solved because they know it will help LE with issues happening in the community that effect them?
Only 170 were allowed per covid rules, said the 1st guy filming, before AM spoke.

Eta I heard "170" but it could have been 1 17 as was mentioned above.

It was sad... not sure if i am just tired and emotional tonight, but felt profoundly sad when I left vigil and still do. 2 prayers and inbetween the two Andy spoke. I didn't see BM or daughters, but i could have missed. I do feel she was isolated here... No best friend or friend went to speak on stage. No daughter... nothing... i am sad guys...
Thank you for all you do! Sending you lots of love and hugs.

I believe they said that the vigil had a max limit ~150 people that would be allowed in.
