It would really be foolish for Barry to go west like that, and you better believe Monarch Mountain Lodge has camera footage of I-50 which would alert LE that BM went west.

There is lots and lots of area between the house and Monarch Mountain Lodge...

Monarch pass... Steep drop offs... This os driving back aka going towards Morphew house...

Reminds me of Going To The Sun Road in Glacier National Park....breathtakingly beautiful.

I hope Suzanne is found soon.

Such a tragedy.

How do her daughters even breathe?

I'm sorry, but if my mom were missing I would be wearing out hiking boots until someone tied me to a chair.

There was some activity by the house today with horses. I will see if i can drive County Road 24.

MOO yes, now see a lot of search activity out at Buena Vista.
Can't say enough good things about searchers!

I'm behind here but,he blocked a public roadway? TIA
Complete with hand made signs.

Today there was a sign with a more 'official' look to it, compliments of NoSi's post. (thanks ,NoSi !)
Saying "Residential Traffic Only".
So I guess the locals are allowed to drive on it to get to work or back home, etc.
Thoughtful of BM.

The problem is that other people may need to drive on that road-- it's not just his own driveway that's blocked off.
Reporters, press, searchers, etc.

AM has never outright said BM is a killer. So, I think possibly with the “children” comment, he is likely trying to motivate all of Salida and the surrounding community to get involved with this effort.

Whether you are a BM supporter or not, SM has likely been murdered. Would you want this suspect still lurking in this area? You and your children may not be safe. Come forward, help us end this, bring SM home, and seek justice.

That’s how I interpret AM saying this. Bless his soul. AM does sometimes misspeak, and who can blame him having been thrown into this role?
All JMO.

I think AM is talking one small town dweller to another. BM moved to Salida and by all accounts, took 3 hometown kids with multi-generation roots in the county, and systematically throwing them under-the bus together with allegations meth use or deeming them all meth heads. The community knows who/what resides there. I think AM's message is from one parent to another, warn your kids not to fall prey to the one dangling easy money. I'm sure AM has equal concern over his nieces well being.

Thank you for all the posted pictures. It sure is a gorgeous part of this country, but I can see how intimidating it is with the vast amount of mountains and trees and so many places to have to search.

That’s brutal.

Here’s a question:

How does SM not make close friends for the 2 years she lives there and is supposedly extremely personable and like able? Yet, BM apparently has people willing to plant themselves within the search group to find intel for him?

I honestly think people are afraid. I am starting to think BM runs some shady organization there and has people in his back pocket. I just hope it doesn't include any LE.

MOO, the local LE wouldn’t have called in the state and federal LE so fast.

PE is showing the photo from May 13, with BM lying on his back in a clearing. Of note, there is no bluff there, no cliff.

That would be devastating. Happens sometimes but I’m hoping this isn’t the case. I have wondered why people aren’t talking in this small town.

Yet he was crying in fear that someone threw Suzanne over the bluff there where there is no bluff. Hmmm

Cadaver dogs hit by lakeside property according to PE.

"Passive hit"

I still like the salaciousness of my Breaking Barry theory. But.

Something occurred to me today. Most of the discussion I’ve seen is trying to connect the time that SM stopped responding to messages as the time she was killed. But really all that is necessary is that the PHONE is out of commission.

There could have been a fight on Friday about the wedding (or anything, really) On Saturday morning they get into it again, and he throws the phone across the room, destroying it (“you’re not going to that f** wedding!”)

He goes to work with MG, is still agitated about the fight, and decides to end the day early. The rest of Saturday very well could have been pre-meditation, or just the behavior of a pissed off control freak wandering town angrily before going home. Even setting up the job on Sunday could have been an excuse to get the hell out of dodge for the rest of the weekend.

He gets home that evening, maybe *she* gets his phone and tries to get on Facebook. Maybe she decided at this point that she was done and not going to take his abuse anymore. Enraged that she would DARE touch his things, enraged that HIS possession was going to leave HIM, he kills her. Fumbles through a couple interactions with her friend.

Now he has to get rid of her body, bury the destroyed phone because that will obviously point back to him, and has a very rough night.

He likely did leave the house near 5am, but I doubt he got any sleep. I’m guessing the 3.5 window that AM mentioned happened very early Sunday morning sometime between 12 and 5am.

Edit: MOO

According to AM, a veteran cadaver dog hit on the beach area. Three passive hits.

He called FBI. Scene has been turned over.

Yes it's an experienced veteran cadaver dog that "passive hit" on the beachfront rocks more than once.
they are going to process the scene, Andy thinks.
per PE

my heart is pounding!

PE saying veteran cadaver dog hit on an area from a tip. CBI secured the scene.

It's such a needle-in-the-haystack situation that searchers are just going to have to get lucky, frankly. Or hunters/hikers may come across her. I assume that LE has covered most areas that they, in their experience, would consider suspicious areas, but that would only cover a very small area compared to the vastness of Colorado. It has always been shocking to me how many lost people are found, alive or dead, within a few miles from where they wandered off even though searchers beat the bushes for miles looking for them.
