It's interesting to review MG's statement on the beach site now that a dog hit on the area.

“I’m not the other woman”: Second contractor speaks out about Suzanne Morphew investigation | FOX21 News Colorado

And, she said, Barry’s behavior that weekend had seemed strange.

“Barry had worked on the beach site Friday evening,” Gentile said. “Saturday, he had asked me to clean it up and rake it out, because we were going to bring it out to level – so it would be a beach sand and not muck.”

Beach-site.jpg

The “beach site” located off County Road 105, east of Salida
“He was acting really weird about [the beach area], I was like Barry what’s up,” Gentile said. “He seemed stressed. He definitely seemed weird on Saturday.”

And, although Gentile had agreed to work in that area for the day, she said Barry dismissed her from the job early – at 11 a.m.

Yeah-- I am not trying to bash LE but WTH ??
They should have been searching down there at river front while they were already digging on the property.
After this interview, the very first thing LE should have done is go out there and start digging.
Or at least inquired about getting a search warrant and spoke to the owners who had already previously approved searching.
Why didn't LE do that ???
I am so glad Andy has FBI and CBI with him --
JMO but I think the local LE are in way over their head.

Most of us would not describe Barry as an intellectual juggernaut, but even so, I have a hard time believing that he would dispose of Suzanne’s remains at his own job site. I could be wrong on this, but there are so many other locations where he could bury her that would not directly link back to himself.
True, however, the same could be said for Chad Daybell. Perps are mostly stupid. MOO.

I tend to lean toward the idea that the dogs smelled tiny remnants from the Bobcat having been used elsewhere. But really, I do hope he was crazy enough to bury her there.

It sure has been creepily quiet. I wish this was over with.
I agree! I wish this could be nicely wrapped up with Barry headed to jail.

We don’t know that they didn’t search that area. Dogs are not infallible, so it’s possible they did and just didn’t hit. It’s also possible that yesterday’s hit is meaningless.

MG’s tv interview should not have come as news to LE. She had already been interviewed multiple times, and I think it’s probable that what she told them was a partial basis for that 3 day search (strange behavior by BM).

The FBI evidence response team took charge of that search, and I get the impression that CBI and FBI are taking a very active role here. I think local LE is taking a back seat, although it’s still their investigation.

Question. Is crimeonline always an acceptable MSM source? Or does it vary by article/case?

Thanks

crimeonline.com is an approved source for WS. It's not a case by case basis.

Husband of Missing Mom Suzanne Morphew Said Police Botched Case, Are Trying to 'Blame It on Me'

“This is the most devastating thing that has ever happened to me,” Barry said. “But I have got to keep my faith and trust in God. And Suzanne trusted the Lord and if one person got saved from this, she would think it was worth it. And we are just a Godly, loving, caring, family and this thing is just a tragedy.”
I originally thought BM was referring to himself as the one that was being "saved"... from financial issues or other situation that with SM out of the picture turns out better for him.

After more pondering, I find BM's full statement quoted above, taken in its entirety to actually be quite normal (in religious-speak context). I was thinking BM had cracked out of turn, revealing a tell that he knew exactly what happened to SM but going back to my religious past (really, don't ask) I can see how his comment would apply to a religious family's perspective.

The devastating thing that happened to him is losing SM and not that he necessarily knows exactly what happened to her. That SM is missing from his life is "devastating".

That SM is so deeply religious she would accept her fate if it resulted in just one person accepting JC as their LAS (i.e.: "saved"). I now believe this statement was simply to relate SM's deep faith.

Family tragedy. Of course, it is.

The full statement now seems 'normal' to me... but in light of everything else we think is falling in to place, BM's statement seems almost throw-away, a disconnect to what many believe is the reality.

Please can you explain to me who would accept JC because SM was murdered, and why? Not being facetious it’s just that I’m not religious so not clear about this.

eta: not trying to have a pro/con religious debate, just trying to understand BM’s comment

Is anyone seeing anything on the Arcgis app today? I’m not, but mine is glitchy.
Yes. Mostly concentrated around the Salida area, but there are searchers well North and East of there.

Yes, and Leigh Egan (@leighEg), journalist for Crime Online, is also a member here. I have had the pleasure of collaborating with her directly on a case, and she is great. She was kind enough to write and report on the case promptly when others weren’t putting out any articles.

I think a good question to ask PE or Andy is if Andy has any recent photo of Suzanne that she may have sent him?
Like from late 2019/2020.
We have seen photos from FB, I think. Just looking/wondering if anything more recent.

It was just BM making an attempt to sound pious.
Epic fail.

No actual Christian would say something so cold and crass in this situation.

In the immortal words of my main man, William Shakespeare:
"The devil can quote Scripture for his purpose."

JMO.

This was discussed at length, when it was first reported.
Numerous members in various faith traditions attempted to decipher the logic behind it.
We more or less came to the conclusion (IIRC), there isn't any logic behind it, without BM himself explaining what he meant.

Yes, I’m seeing quite a few searchers, but I’m not as good with the app as @Knox is. There’s not as much detail as on previous days. I did reload my app to update it.

YES, I just checked twitter and facebook and all the social media. After all the excitement yesterday I thought we'd get something but crickets....its unnerving
So eerie!

I have an eBike. But it's not a mountain bike. Also, it's not pink.

JMO, this might actually not be a religious reference, think about saving someone from drowning but drowning themselves.
I believe it is falling in place now, and much of BMs splaining WILL make sense, JMO

It’s my understanding the picture being used in the media of Andy & Suzanne in front of the Christmas tree was taken this past Christmas.
