Puma Path Sale, $ Gain?
@TKG bbm sbm Your post caught my attn, so I ballparked results of (hypo) sale at full $ 1,759,000 initial listing price.
>>>respectfully and in awe, deleted by borndem <<<

Thanks for the amazing calculations. Lotsa work on your part, @al66pine!
I don't see that the sale of the house is going to make him and/or the girls rich, but at least he'll get out of a whoppin' mortgage payment/debt, and away from the possible scene of the crime.
IMO, it's gonna take a particular type of person/family to go bonkers over that house. Only three bedrooms for all that space -- possibly more square footage in garage area than in bedrooms -- or close! And, as someone said earlier, it really is a hunting "cabin," not a warm family home IMHO. To each his own. I'll say again that I'm an east-coaster, so I am perhaps way off on my observations here. :confused:o_O

So,what's the deal with refusing to be on camera?
He may know he can’t sell it, or perhaps he’s averse to having his face out there because it would hurt his mage.

The latter is idiotic though, as I think anyone following this case knows what he looks like, and his image is bad, partially because he hasn’t gone on tv with the news media in the first place.

I think you’re right, but it’s still too small a sample size to reach a more definitive conclusion.

It appears he likes to play the alpha male, which would make him feel more in control when dealing with a female reporter.
He had a national audience with Dr. Phil. WHY did he pass up that golden opportunity??

BM shows a letter from SM to him. Let's see his last love letter to her. Wouldn't that be more appropriate?

A lot can happen in three months. Heck, Chris Watts fell madly in love with NK during a 6-week time span and decided to murder his entire family to start a new life with her.

So, that love letter doesn't prove anything to me.

I have a question if anyone might know. If the puma path home was put in the name of SM’s foundation, would he be able to sell it out right and not pay taxes?

This was damage control, plain and simple. “Look at how much my wife loved me.”

Another golden opportunity to appeal to his wife’s abductor, and once again, he’s completely focused on himself.

What a guy!

@rainbowshummingbird Thx for your post w link.

he wanted to share his side of the story?!?
He was totally muzzled for 5 mo's? Hands shackled, couldn't say a peep w all that duct tape over his mouth?
Reporters would not return his calls? His emails to them bounced back?

recorded against his will?!?
Who did this to him? CCSO, CBI, FBI? Youtuber Tyler (Taylor? or equiv.)?
But he just said he wanted to share his side of the story.

^ sarc ^ and jm2cts.

From link: "Another reason Barry felt the need to list the home is due to the extensive media coverage. He has been recorded against his will and had curious strangers wander onto the property.
CBS4 sat down with him at the house on Sunday, with no cameras, he said he wanted to share his side of the story."

And completely out of touch with life today.

Maybe he's trying to protect his assets in case of a civil lawsuit.
Hmmmm, very interesting observation, @SeekingJustice, very interesting indeed. Wrongful death, perhaps... must be brought by only certain family members (daughters, in this case) and within two years in CO. A WD suit could really put him in a financial knot...
IMO

The puma house has no mortgage - public records would attest to this and if the house has been quit claimed to anyone that is also in the public records but we cannot sleuth and post here

He was recorded without permission!
TD might want to lay low.

Lest we forget, it was a publicity stunt.

In answer to BM's claim that AM's effort was a publicity stunt:

Offering a reward with conditions that guarantee you'll never actually have to make payment seems more like a publicity stunt to me than all the many things AM has done, including:
  • traveling to Colorado immediately upon learning SM was missing and searching for answers then;
  • speaking with CBI when representatives came to Indiana seeking interviews with those who know/knew BM and SM;
  • clearing space out of his own life and business to accomplish all of the following --
  • seeking out and working with a couple former LE guys and their employees through the PE website to publicize SM's disappearance, to encourage sharing tips, and to establish a center from which to organize a search;
  • recruiting funds plus nearly 750 people - some from Salida and some from out of state - to conduct organized searches over several days;
  • driving 16-19 hours to the area where SM lived and disappeared and spending a week there;
  • directing and managing the efforts of the 750 people who participated in the search over the 6 days; and
  • working with LE to pass along tips, potential evidence, and signs of potential body disposal sites.
AM said that one thing he remembers about BM is that he was always very busy. Reminds me of a line from the comedy movie, "Christmas Vacation." "Yeah, but so are washing machines."

Barry's busy, but it all looks like spin to me.

Thanks for the link.
I found BM's reasons he gave for selling his and Suzanne's house telling.
This video was somewhat gag-inducing, no fault of the reporter.
Female reporters do seem to get him to open up a bit.
And he had to add yet another insult to the Moorman family. :mad:
"...Tell us what happened...", Barry.

From this listing:

Optional Notices Sold As Is

Yep, can't even be bothered to negotiate any issues with the house...BM wants to get the hell out of dodge! JMO
Nope, unfortunately not.

"Colorado has adopted a statute that excuses sellers of residential real estate and their brokers from having to disclose certain facts that may psychologically stigmatize real property. Unfortunately, Colorado does not have a clear rule as to what psychologically-stigmatizing circumstances do not need to be disclosed versus those that must be disclosed.
...
C.R.S. § 38-35.5-101 creates an exception to the general rule of disclosure identified for both seller’s agents and transaction-brokers, in that it provides for nondisclosure of information that is psychologically impacting or stigmatizing. This statutory exception reads as follows:

(1) Facts or suspicions regarding circumstances occurring on a parcel of property which could psychologically impact or stigmatize such property are not material facts subject to a disclosure requirement in a real estate transaction. Such facts or suspicions include, but are not limited to, the following:

(a) That an occupant of real property is, or was at any time suspected to be, infected or has been infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) or diagnosed with acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS), or any other disease which has been determined by medical evidence to be highly unlikely to be transmitted through the occupancy of a dwelling place; or

(b) That the property was the site of a homicide or other felony or of a suicide.

(2) No cause of action shall arise against a real estate broker or salesperson for failing to disclose such circumstance occurring on the property which might psychologically impact or stigmatize such property."

Yes, and each state has its own laws about disclosure of psychologically impacted or stigmatized property. This one is my favorite; New York State Law regarding haunted houses aka the "Ghostbuster's Ruling" and the house is for sale again. It's gorgeous!!

Extensive media coverage? I don’t think there’s been enough coverage, IMO.

The love of your life is missing, and you don’t WANT media coverage? I now honestly believe that he thought this would all blow over quickly and no one would care.

How wrong he is.

It is remarkable that Barry still won’t show his face.

Why? His pictures are ALL over the internet and TV.

It’s weird, presents oddly if he were actually innocent, and bottom line, tells the whole story.

We can STILL see you Barry, and we know what you have done.

Barry doesn't want a visual recording where experts can analyze his body language , choice of words or gestures . In my opinion

Absolutely! Andy’s accusations got under Barry’s skin, especially because they aired on national television.

Andy put together a massive search effort, which clearly “shows love.”

Barry hasn’t come remotely close, not even doing the thing that every loving spouse does in a situation like this.

Well, innocent ones at least.
Sometimes siblings live far apart. Their lives go in different directions. The love is still there though and my guess is that Suzanne knew they loved her and they knew she loved them. Andy came through when it was important. What has Barry done but hide?
