Unless it is determined that she was murdered in that home it isn’t a “murder home” and the legal necessity to disclose she went missing from that home was discussed the last couple days.
That's exactly WHY he is selling now, IMO. He's trying to stay ahead of the arrest and disclosure ;)

I've been wondering just how Barry knew MG did hand over her phone to LE without her telling him. LE would be able to download everything from that phone with some special software, so the phone wouldn't have to be out of her possession for too long, maybe a day, maybe 2 at the most?

The only way I can determine BM would know she was cooperating with LE was if she told him or told someone who then told BM. I can't imagine why she'd think telling Barry (or anyone else) she met with the CBI and handed over her phone was a good idea. That would trigger him, and she had to be aware it would since she knew he didn't want her to cooperate with LE.

IMO

Could LE have told BM? Maybe to see what kind of reaction he would have?

DBM double post grrr

The trees and the river seem to be very important.
Barry has consistently tried to point away from that house, the listing emphasis continues that trend. Aside from that, I think they are targeting an investment clientele.

“People don’t know the truth”: Suzanne Morphew’s husband breaks silence after three months | FOX21 News Colorado

BM's statement has been floating around in my subconscious since I had first read it:
uibbm
"This is the most devastating thing that has ever happened to me. But I have got to keep my faith and trust in God. And Suzanne trusted the Lord and if one person got saved from this, she would think it was worth it. And we are just a Godly, loving, caring, family and this thing is just a tragedy."
As the phonecall between Barry and FOX21 reached its end, Morphew said he and his daughters are holding onto the hope that Suzanne is alive and will be found.
Tunnel vision regarding who is affected:
• "happened to me"... not "to us", not "to our family".

Past tense referencing SM:
• "trusted"... not "trusts". That doesn't sound like "hope" to me.

BM's big secret:
• "it was worth it"... as if a profit is to be had from tragedy?

I'm not sure it would ever occur in my thought process to thinking such a tragedy (assumed deceased) could be a positive-worth of anything unless the deceased was proven accused of evil deed and deserving of a particular fate.

If taken fully within religious context his entire commentary (as reported piecemeal in the article) may be interpreted as an innocent, honest and straightforward reveal of feeling and belief and perhaps a revelation that he admired SM's faith.

But add to the mix everything else we think we know (as being at least pseudo-factual) and that innocence melts away in swift whirlpool fashion. Given that aspect, we may assume his comment was spoken with knowledge of and fueled by involvement in the so-called "tragedy" to which he referred.

So many tells.

I'm hoping the powers-that-be who are building this case include this type analysis of his commentary.

To date, the conversation has been that whatever initially happened to SM that it occurred in the house.

What if during their out-and-about lunch that Saturday, BM asked SM to go with him to see a job site or otherwise take a drive to where ever? In this scenario BM could have acted out his intention away from the house and left SM at the location and maybe returned at a later date to hide the result or simply had done it all in one fell swoop at the location with no further intention to relocate.

A key element to this theory is knowing which vehicle the Ms used that Saturday. Was it the truck with a digger in tow or was it one of their SUVs?

I'll just leave this here and watch the discussion, should any occur... ;)

Theory, MOO, of how Saturday/Sunday may have gone down. It is a far fetched theory but I put it together trying to use the info we have as of now.

Presuppositions:

  1. MG has a crush on BM which he has been nurturing because it strokes his ego. She will do almost anything for him.
  2. SM is upset at BM. It is MD weekend, her daughters are away, and BM has worked Friday night, Saturday, and will be working on Sunday.

Saturday morning BM picks up MG for work at the Salida site. He’s left SM home, angry at him.

He gets a hold of JP and asks if he can work on Sunday.

To get SM off his back BM decides to go home and play nice with her for a couple of hours. Meanwhile, she is at home texting her bff about the upcoming wedding and telling her how ticked off she is at BM.

BM goes home, tries to placate her, takes her to lunch in town. When they get home BM figures he deserves a little hanky panky for his trouble. Instead, SM get right back on the phone/FB with her bestie. He is enraged, maybe slaps the phone out of her hand, she pushes back. He gives her a shove and she falls hitting her head against the stone fireplace.

He is now in panic cover up mode.

He begins cleaning up.

Maybe he drags the body out to the garage (or to the spot where the antlers with the skin attached were later observed leaning against the house). He may have put the body in a cooler or coolers using some of his tools to dismember her.

He realizes SM was in the middle of a convo when he slapped the phone out of her hands. Her phone is broken. He impersonates SM on her FB using his phone and tries to close out the conversation. It sounds strange to SM’s bff. He also sends out some friend requests so it will seem like SM is still alive and well.

He needs to get rid of the body.

Maybe he does something using his bobcat.

He then brings the bobcat to the Salida site around 11:30 pm and swaps out his bucket or other attachment with the one in Salida so if LE checks his, there will be no evidence on it.

He goes home to Puma Path to finish cleaning up.

He needs to be out of town the following day when SM is reported missing. He stays up most of the night planning out his strategy. He decides to use MG as an integral part of his alibi. He drives to her house at 4:00 am but then thinks better of it and texts her instead to arrange for the work crew in Broomfield.

He then drives to Broomfield himself possibly discarding evidence along the way.

He is supposed to bring the bobcat with him to complete the job but can’t because of the swapped attachment.

He checks into the HIE, cleans his tools, and collapses for a few hours on the bed.

Later in the day he puts the bike story in motion.

He leaves Broomfield before the work crew shows up.

JUST A THEORY. MOO
Very good theory. I think he just strangled her and I don't think that he dismembered her. Other than these two things I totally agree with your theory.

And it might be one thing to purchase a murder house for a family home. Certainly another for an AirBnB. I’d stay there, if the price was right.

I wonder how long it would take an investor to earn back $1.7M. That's a lot of rentals.

That same investor would be betting that travel is going to pick up at some point...or that s/he could resell in a year or two for more. Usually, airbnb investors want to leverage a small down payment - but even a small down payment on that house is a lot. The mortgage would be so high, most use of it would weekends. Almost no one is going to rent for a couple of weeks in Maysville. Weekend party house? Yep. 4-5 days in ski season? Maybe.

Barry has consistently tried to point away from that house, the listing emphasis continues that trend. Aside from that, I think they are targeting an investment clientele.

I think that's the target, too - but a quick perusal of real estate prices in the area still makes that house expensive. Times are uncertain, that's a big chunk of change to put down in hopes the real estate market will rise significantly in the next...10 years? Maybe it'll be a place for someone to park some money in the hopes of better returns over stocks or other investment schemes.

We shall see.

My pet theory is that he lost his temper and hit her, causing an injury that could not be covered up and she was not going to lie about it. So he strangled her.

Interest rates at record lows make real estate investments very attractive. Who knows what 2021 will bring, I'm seeing predictors based on the release of the CV19 vaccine

Regardless, Barry's going to need that cash. No PDA for him, he'll need to hire the best money can buy.

Relative to the condition of the residence after the house released back to BM, there was a discussion about this on PE.

It's an episode where Lauren Scharf is the guest and she describes a conversation she had with a Morphew neighbor that also talked to the daughters on mother's day morning. (This is not the neighbor that called 911 to report SM missing). I believe BM complained about the condition of the house to her. LS states this neighbor has been inside the home.

I don't recall all the details but the interview is on PE. I believe it's the wedding anniversary episode.

I wonder if that "neighbor" is the same one who owns the "cabin"/airbnb property behind Morphew's house, where BM may have stayed and I think Andy stayed in the days immediately following May 10.

Is that the house where BM placed and looked out windows? Originally I thought it was another... but maybe?

If the power of Websleuths can get typos fixed, can we get more photos?

I'm open to alternate kitchen angles, low drywall shots, close-up tile vignettes....

Maybe BM was using MG to get in touch with another person instead of BM using his own phone.
BINGO! I thought this a while back and tried to post something theorizing that but my post was deleted. ITA.
