When MG commented that it looked like BM only did a half hours work and moved some dirt, I'll bet that's what she could see, and under the impression he worked without a Bobcat himself.

But I think he DID have a Bobcat there, and arguably not his own. In fact, I think HIS Bobcat may have already been taped off at PP by LE before BM returned to Maysville.

I think it's possible that BM didn't leave a Bobcat for his crew because 1. He needed to return it before it was missed and 2. He wanted to make sure no one did any digging at the wall.

I wonder if BM drove up to the scene of the riderless bike with an empty trailer in tow.

Just why exactly did he go to Broomfield? He was neither needed nor helpful. He could've stayed home and prepared his supply list for first thing Monday morning. If the wall mattered to him.

I think the most damning detail of all won't be what he was doing in Broomfield. It'll be whose phones were in the house when Suzanne went suddenly quiet.

Well stated, Megnut !
I'll admit I'm curious about what is in or under that wall....

I don't know enough about the neighbour hearing the machine start and I don't know the time or the location in relation to his home...I haven't read enough, most likely but it sounds kind of damning, doesn't it?
Was this person a nocturnal animal usually or was this just a one-off?

Exactly. MOO no landscaper is getting a motel room for a crew the day before for a job that is 2.5 hours away. They would leave at 5:30 am and get there at 8.

Neither
The sound woke her up

Since the Sunday time frame is a little confusing to me, or is difficult to match things up, I have this thought that BM slept on Sunday. I don't think he slept much since Friday.

Ok....how did I miss all the "heard running" sentence?
As in someone running....

For me, that alone, puts up another red flag.

Yes. At first she thought some noisy truck was parked right outside her house running, and it went on so long she got up to see about it, and the noise stopped when she opened her door.

As in someone running... Not just machinery right? That's what I think I missed.

No bam, mam, she heard machinery running.

I meant that she thought a box truck or semi's motor was running while parked outside her house.
When she finally got up she realized the sound had been coming from the work site next door.

All below is total speculation, since I also believe that a fluke stranger abduction had a chance of occurring.

MOO but my thinking is if he killed her, he did it right when he went home at noon. He was able to carry on a brief charade of texts with her friend and then abruptly ended it when his impersonation was getting to close to discovery.
That expands time and space to dispose of her.
My feeling has been she is south of Salida which is technically so much less up to date in every way.
I would look around "Barry's Den" a diner 40 minutes south of the Salida work site at Texas Crossing along a very empty Hwy 50 that runs along the side of the Arkansas River.
MOO making noise at night at the work site may have meant to explain a trip south which went past the Salida Loaf n' Jugs cameras to distract from a trip further south.
MOO The commitment of FBI forensics team digging up a house foundation for 3 days, means they had something very solid to check out. As in possibly a video of one of the vehicles from PP passing somewhere in Salida that afternoon, evening, or early morning hours.

I think it's for sure she said she heard machinery running...
I think it's ambiguous if she heard a person(s), and if she did, in what context

The above is just my view from what I've read

"The interview suggests that Branson also believes she may have heard a person."

“I thought it sounded like one of them running and I sat up in bed and said, ‘it is one of them, what’s going on, this time of night? That’s ridiculous.’ And I thought maybe they had orders to move it or something, so I laid there listening and it kept going and going and going for about a half an hour.”

I don't think so.

Look at that article again.

"...and I had been hearing all of this noise for quite a while,” Mary Branson told the news station.

The interview suggests that Branson also believes she may have heard a person.

Not sure how I missed this, thanks for the post and link !
Hmmm....
Someone was a busy little bee that night.

Almost like maniacally frantic, as time was of the essence; and I can see why LE are leaning in a certain direction !
My .02 is that there was no scheduled work to be done at that time.
Imo.

Except "one of them running" and "it is one of them" and "orders to move it" may all have been referring to one of the construction machines, not a person, and the article writer could have assumed the same as you, that "it, one, them" was referring to a person. I agree it is ambiguous, but tend to think she was referring to a running machine, except for the "they had orders...."

I don't think the phrase "one of them" means she heard a person running. If she heard a machine running it would be obvious there would be a person there operating the machine.

Yes, there’s no way a woman who has hearing problems could hear someone running. I think the context is clearly a piece of machinery and not a person.

It is reported she cannot remember whether it was Friday or Saturday night when she heard sounds unfortunately.
