How loud would a running diesel truck (for headlight purposes) combined with loading a Bobcat onto a trailer be?

I think it’s possible the news of SM disappearance freaked them out and they started to overthink noises/events. Again, they suddenly stop when they go to look? IMO
ah that's a bit of a stretch, she hadn't disappeared when they heard them. Two ?
It's possible they cranked a light on, something or that the machines had finished whatever they were doing by the time someone looked?

SM was gone, IMO, by the time these two were interviewed by media.

Man! Here I thought I was onto something! Lol!
Maybe Ill have that glass of wine now...lol!
wait a while! You can have it in 10 minutes, what other mechanical or other noise sounds like running?
If this had been premed is it not likely a disposal site would have been prepared in advance? Somewhere.?
Maybe the machines were filling it in or returning having filled it in? I couldn't discover what time of night sounds were heard.

yes but not by the time they allegedly heard them.

The way the neighbor phrased her description,

“At the very first I thought it was a truck or something maybe parked in my driveway or something, but no, it kept running and coming from the same direction over there, and I had been hearing all of this noise for quite a while,” she said.

“I thought it sounded like one of them running and I sat up in bed and said, ‘it is one of them, what’s going on, this time of night? That’s ridiculous.’ And I thought maybe they had orders to move it or something, so I laid there listening and it kept going and going and going for about a half an hour. And I finally got up to check and, as I opened the back door, it stopped. So I thought, maybe they are just moving something or whatever, and so I did not go out and investigate."

suggests to me that the sound was moving around, not an engine idling in one place, but moving around within the confines of the construction site.

I do wish someone had asked her specifically about that, to clarify.

According to the Fox 21 article she said the noise was coming from one direction. (I assume she meant the job site) She said at first she thought it was a truck running in the driveway "but no, it kept running and coming from the same direction over there." She said she got up to investigate and by the time she opened the back door, it stopped.

She said she remembers it was Mother's Day weekend because although her hearing is going, her memory is still sharp.

Imo

I wondered if it was a generator. If the construction crew had any equipment that would trigger a generator.

I don't think so.

Look at that article again.

"...and I had been hearing all of this noise for quite a while,” Mary Branson told the news station.

The interview suggests that Branson also believes she may have heard a person.

I thought it sounded like one of them running and I sat up in bed and said, ‘it is one of them, what’s going on, this time of night? That’s ridiculous.’ And I thought maybe they had orders to move it or something, so I laid there listening and it kept going and going and going for about a half an hour.”

Yes. I remember that.

I wish we knew what time the noise was heard?

There are so many reasons BM looks guilty. To me the most compelling is that he was outside MG house at 4am on Sunday mornings. Why would he leave his house in the middle of the night, drive to MG’ s house at 4am to call her from outside the gate, then drive back to his house, then leave his house again at 5am. Throw in the construction site noise at 11/12pm and in my opinion whatever BM was doing he was definitely not sleeping at home.
100% Agree

That was one of my first thoughts. I figured some type of machinery or a generator. I didn’t think running referred to a person’s footsteps. As to whether it pertains to Suzanne, it would be pretty inconsiderate and/or stupid to run loud machinery at night for any reason but especially if one is doing something criminal.

I believe it was somewhere around 11, 11:30. I will see if I can find her TV news interview.

You can. How would they know?
Barry’s work site, the one adjacent to Ms Branson’s home is not located in an isolated, rural area. It is in an area with other homes nearby. If a hearing impaired woman was awakened from sleep by the noise, then it makes sense that others nearby heard the noise as well.

I understand fully why LE isn't releasing more information but at the same time I worry the lack of any new information is causing the case to fade from the public eye. I'm betting thats exactly what a certain someone hopes happens.
