Could the neighbor have reported her missing because this person was in contact and knew when she left and saw her bike discarded near the house and couldn’t reach Suzanne on the phone?
That's a very good idea. I'm adding that to my list of possibilities. It would explain why a neighbor would concerned enough to call LE.

I have been thinking a family member contacted the neighbor when the family couldn't reach Suzanne.

As for the FBI, I'm assuming that is for help with cellphone records. I'm not reading more into it than that.

While she is a fit and beautiful woman, she's also past the age of "usual" abductions. If it was an abduction, my guess it was planned and targeted at her specifically for personal reasons. I mean, what a coincidence that she goes missing when her entire family is away.

Somebody knew she was alone - and that list is probably not that long, imo.

There is also the possibility she left on her own accord. We've been surprised by that in the past, in cases where everything looked perfect from the outside. If that is the case, I hope she returns safely.

I think accident is unlikely at this point, but we've seen that happen too. I'm recalling a young woman who fell off a cliff while taking a walk alone while vacation in Greece. This case with Suzanne doesn't feel like an accident, but the Greece case didn't at first either.

In other words, I've ruled out....nothing. I hope today brings some developments.

But no interview with the “neighbors” yet?
Anyone find any?
This seems like a well-heeled crowd and likely not particularly eager to be part of a media circus that often happens in a case like this - unless directed to do so by LE. I'm not expecting interviews, tbh.

John Fenton (@higuysimjohn) tweeted on Thu, May 14, 2020:
Nephew of missing Chaffee County woman Suzanne Morphew who disappeared on bike ride Sunday confirms her bike has been found.

Still no sign of Suzanne. Reward now increased to $200,000 for her safe return. Family: Suzanne Morphew's Husband Offers $100,000 Reward In Disappearance Investigation
(John Fenton on Twitter)
Sorry, too early in the morning didn't see you had already posted the news.

People on social media have been saying her bike was found for days. Now we can confirm with a CBS Denver MSM tweet. No word yet on the condition or location of the bike. Hopefully that comes out later today so we can discuss.

The reward doubling to $200k points to desperation, my heart hurts for her family.

I don't know what to think about this reward. It was posted on day 2 and now it's increased to 200k on day 4. I feel bad questioning it but it's just so odd. This whole situation is odd!

If this big increase is from the fund-raising efforts, I think it points to generosity in addition to desperation. I peeked at the fundraiser yesterday and many donations were very large.

Not sure what the added $ will do though, to be harshly honest. Rewards are most useful in that they can be a reason to keep the story in the news - increases in the reward can spur a reporter to update coverage, for example. But this case is already in the news.

Fingers crossed she is found today.

Her husband is a ...

Is there an MSM link for this info? I haven't even seen his name included in any articles let alone background info about either of them, but I could've missed it, of course. The info is likely to be reported eventually, but has it yet? If so, please link to MSM. tia

Snipped. They wouldn't bring in the FBI just for cell phone records. The SO could easily handle that themselves with a quick fax to the phone company. Something else is up with that.

From the ‘Find Suzanne Morphew’ FB page it says the reward has been increased due to a “matched donation from a friend”.

Haven't we seen this before - that the FBI is brought in for cell phone foresenics?

I agree - something is going on here - but what?

I can't think of examples right now, but it has happened in the past where a person had an accident in the wilderness, and was only found months later by fluke. Extensive searching and dogs do miss people.

I remember an older woman hiker who became lost, and a search was called off.....to everyone's surprise, she turned up alive after 2 or 3 weeks.
What if Suzanne lost control on the road for whatever reason, and went down into a ravine.
Grasping at straws here.
Joe Keller is an example. People thought of all kinds of wild theories of what could have happened to him, but in the end, he just fell off a cliff. He wasn't found for over a year.
Remains of Joe Keller, missing teen in Conejos County, confirmed by DNA match

Edited to add: To be clear, I don't think Suzanne fell off a cliff, per se, especially with the bike news now confirmed by family in MSM. And the two cases aren't very similar at all. Joe's played out a lot more like a typical hiker/biker/skier "lost in the wilderness" case where the person got disoriented or injured. Just that fluke things do happen to people in the wilderness.

Yes, I believe we have - Kelsey Berreth - Gannon Stauch, Mollie Tibbetts IIRC - I think they want to know what she was doing/who she was communicating with prior to Sunday

In Kelsey's case, the crime did cross state lines. Gannon's did too, but I don't think authorities expected that at the start. Mollie's case was very local.

I think there have been even more examples of FBI being called in.

Of course, I don't know what is happening in this particular case! Could be anything at this point.

But I think her bike being found is key - that location is important iMO. of course, if she fell off and became disoriented she could have wandered way off by now - it's sort of reminding me of the young lady who was lost after she had car trouble - they found her body (no foul play evidently) we followed that one here on WS.

The bike will tell some of the story, assuming they can distinguish damage from say a car hitting the bike, from damage sustained by being thrown down a ravine for instance. This may also be the reason for the increased reward. Suzanne is not with her bike, someone has her.
