Police are not asking for help or information because they don't need it. Imo.

It is truly bizarre to hear a clearly exasperated nephew effectively asking the media and general public to pressure the Sheriff’s office into releasing details of the condition of the bike when it was found. Details that he and the family have obviously been told about and then subsequently gagged. This is very unusual imo.

Perhaps the sheriff has a reason why he isn’t sharing information with certain family members ? Else why not just say the condition of the bike ?

Yes. While I'm not at all bothered by the reward or value, it was more the

order of it all. As if no time for fear, panic, grief. It seemed to go straight to

strategic PR mode. Running a campaign....a well-oiled machine.

read this- nephew clearly says he knows the bikes shape and he asks us to push the county sheriff for info on it cause he can't say.
I didn't hear the part where he claims he knows the condition of the bike.
Could it be he's asking MSM to push the county sheriff for info because he wants to know but LE won't tell him?

police could help find her if they'd give these details on what she was wearing and the condition of the bike....
If she were home alone, who would know what clothes she was wearing?

their county sheriff said when she left and when the call came in, in the first report on the net on thousands of web posts.
Upthread it was posted that a reporter had the info wrong about the time Suzanne left for the bike ride. The only time we know is when the neighbor called LE.

IMO, I am really struck by the finances here. Some things are not adding up, quite literally. Everyone keeps saying things don't make sense here. Former teacher, Volunteer firefighter/paid firefighter/Landscape business owner, along with running a nonprofit organization? Yet, they own a $800,000 home in IN still and purchased a home for over $1 million. What the heck???? The landscaping business would have to be extremely profitable, which is a possibility.

Neighbor may have even seen her but simply doesn't remember what clothes she was wearing, I often see my neighbors walk by my house and can't honestly remember what they wore each time.

LE has set up a tip line and mentioned they have received tips.

I'm trusting LE knows what it's doing with this case....though the WSer in me wants more details! :)

I think the family is not liking the direction of the investigation

I think many of them believe LE should be looking for a stranger or an accident, hence the statement they are doing their own search separate from the sheriffs office.

Me, I think investigators know exactly what they are doing. And they have a pretty good idea what happened here.

I don’t expect we will be given any information about her bike, where she was last seen, or a description of her clothing if they know it.

They aren’t looking for a stranger or an accident , they have their eyes focused much closer to home imo

I don't think it's unusual at all for LE to keep details of the case from the public - or even from the family. It's the usual course of action when investigating. I'm trusting LE on this.

I don't think the family have anything to do with it.

IMO they are probably devastated and listening to LE who are likely telling them to keep quiet.

I think they believe she has been taken, and don't want to scare the person who has her.

It looks like such a remote place to live, i hear people stating its super safe and people leave their doors unlocked, i would be scared living somewhere so remote and quite, seems like the perfect type of place for a psycho to go looking to pick somebody up unnoticed.

nephew knows what condition the bikes in and can't say.

A couple of interesting points. Her nephew says "THE" (not her) husband has put up a $100,000 reward. Interesting choice of words.

Also, when asked about her going biking, her nephew is very hesitant. He does not confirm this, but instead says all.that he can confirm is that her bike was found.

The ring is her wedding ring set, as shown in other photos, and worn on her left hand, even in this photo, where the ring looks like it is on her right hand. The photo is reversed, a mirror image. You can tell by how she wears her hair, how she parts her bangs to her left side.

Agreed, all of this. But I too am drawn to that picture and the ring set. Not solely because of the size and apparent value, but because of her pose and the role the ring plays in portraying a message (IMO).

I could be over-thinking it. However I’m fascinated by the psychology behind how we portray ourselves on social media, and I think SM’s pictures are all saying something to the world. The message shifts a little over time (fewer pics of husband), and that photo says ‘Look at the rings’. Who is she saying it to? The person who gave them to her? An admirer she wants to remind that she’s married? Is she communicating her wealth and good fortune? Or her emotional ties? IDK, but I think it could be relevant.

Good catch, could be nothing but definitely an interesting choice of words, i would never refer to any of my uncles that way, even ones i am not close to.

Imho there is a pretty straightforward explanation to this, but I’ve been reminded that the forum rules don’t permit us to sleuth her ancestry or family here (unless one of them is formally named by LE as a suspect/person of interest).
