I agree. The picture looks photoshopped. Didn't want to mention it before, because it was so trifling, but compare the tree branches in the picture with the cops and the one with the "intruder". Either there wasn't even an iota of wind that night, or it's the same frame with the cops taken out and the intruder added.

Yeah the pic looks wierd but i think he was moving quicker than LE hence blurr and he was turning his head(quicker than body) at the time of the pic that why its even blurrier.

There is a way to check for photoshopping but i dont know how its done.
I personally dont think its photoshopped but it may be wothwhile googling some game cam pics for comparison...

3am here noo so im off to bed, dogs are already away to bed lol..

Unless this person has neurofibromatosis or von Recklinghausen disease, he/she is wearing a mask, IMO. You can even see that the mask has hair attached to it. Click on thumbnail. The photo has been altered. See the lines?

This is an invert of a blurry picture though, so its easy to misinterpret. I don't think this family photo-shopped anything.

In the inverted photo, the 'stalker's' shadow (which I still do not see in the original) is non-existent. LE has clearly defined shadows.

Here's some pictures from my hubby's wildlife cam. The dates are NOT right b/c he doesn't care to figure out how to change them.:what:

Snipped and bolded by me. "The dates are NOT right..."

OK...not sure where I'm headed but maybe once I get the answer to this, is it possible to change the date on an existing photo or are you stuck with whatever date is on it when it's taken??

I ran both pics (cops and intruder) through a website called pskiller.com (photoshop killer) and on analysis, both pics got this result: Make/Model information is missing. Don't know what that means, but it was not a definitive yes or no.

I keep going back to the blog trying to read more and more. So the day Morgans body was discovered her jewerly was missing. Someone was arressted on a "warrant stemming from a cache of gold jewelry he had recently sold at a, “Cash for Gold” store in Glenwood Springs." (source morgans mom). Person was arrested with drugs among other things..

Pensfan, can you clarify what name you're talking about? For some reason, I can't understand the original post of the notice of sale.

Also, from what I looked at today, the house was sold in July of this year.

And, from what I've read on the blog, Toni Ingram and her husband moved about 6 weeks after Morgan's death.

So I'm very confused...LOL...nothing new there, though.

As for the photo being 'shopped, maybe. But we have to remember that this is a blurry infrared photo to start with, was inverted by SO, and reposted. Lots of opportunity for a pixel (or 1,000) to be scooched around, you know?

And as for Folie a Trois, yes, I've considered that. If the mother is to believed (and I'm not sure why not), though, there were several witnesses to the stalking, footprints discovered, and some additional evidence given. So I'm not sure...

In further looking at B and K, there is a friend in common, that Morgan apparently spent a fair bit of time with. I am not familiar enough with this group of kids to know who was friends with whom, and who was an acquaintance or who was just peripherally in the picture.

But I'm chasing an idea, and if it pans out, it may be very interesting. Of course, I'm not known for sleuthing skills (LOL), so it may be a serious bust.

I will say that this is a fascinating thread, and I'm loving all the involvement of you...and the ideas you're bringing to the table. It rocks...

Best-
Herding Cats

I have watched my computer geek son photoshop numerous photos for high school and college projects. One important aspect is blending the edges of the superimposed photo with the underlying photo. In this photo, you can see that the edges are not blended. There is a "cut out" line. Look inches out from the extended arm and follow the line up. Someone didn't blend the edges.

Yeah I noticed that too. Not judging them, tho. I know what it's like to be in denial and feel the rite to live safely in this world we live in.

I sense where you are going with that thought...but I have wished/planned for a place with a closet window (or at least an air vent). KWIM?

Maybe it was so cool, temperature-wise that Morgan was comfortable with sleeping in the closet.

I've owned plenty of homes with closet windows as getting ventilation through your clothes is a good thing. Also, I have purposely built a home with two electric skylites exactly for that reason. No musty smell!

The photo has been through at least 3 steps of lossy compression, and it was a poor quality greyscale photo to begin with.

Step 1 - Compressed to JPG before the camera puts it on the internal memory card.
Step 2 - Resized down to 1024x768 pixels.
Step 3 - Resaved as JPG again.

What you're left with is a large jumble of JPG compression artifacts that slightly resembles the original photo.

Trying to enhance that and get details is basically impossible.

Well as for my inquiry uptbread about the officers uniform color(light colored vs dark colored)..well i suppose its totally dependant upon whether its the garfield county officers or carbondale officers..if carbkndale officers they actually totally changed their uniform colors ba k in 2000 going from all brown to a sharper look of navy blue..and if its the garfield county officers tbo,i can find nothing verifying the color I can say the photos ive seen of garcield officers has their unifoms mre of the dark khaki color..

So, I guess thats leading me to believe these officers seen on the wildlife cams imo are quite likely Garfield, thereby donning dark khaki sheriffs deputy uniforms..which imo means that the perp is not necessarily wearing a bright white colored shirt/jacket..that due to the lighting it very well could be a darker color material tho,imo nothing as dark as a navy or black..jmo tho..

Now in typing this up and thinking about it actually I believe that mom references the color of the perps attire when presenting the photo to neighbor,Elliot who quickly goes and retrieves his exact same shirt/jacket as whats seen in the pic worn by the perp..only Elliots is a different and darker color than the stalkers...

Yes. You can see an outline around the person. Look near the arm that is extended. It also appears that someone photoshopped an old woman's face or mask onto the head of someone else.

yep, I've been thinking this too but am not in any way an expert in photoshopping so didn't want to comment on that

is it possible to put this photo into a programme that detects photoshopping? anyone know how?

These 3 steps are the only thing that has altered the photo? So probably no other way to get a better clear picture.
