2 parts to an autopsy
External examination
At many institutions the person responsible for handling, cleaning, and moving the body is often called a diener, the German word for servant. In the UK this role is performed by an Anatomical Pathology Technologist who will also assist the pathologist in eviscerating the body and reconstruction after the autopsy. After the body is received, it is first photographed. The examiner then notes the kind of clothes and their position on the body before they are removed. Next, any evidence such as residue, flakes of paint or other material is collected from the external surfaces of the body. Ultraviolet light may also be used to search body surfaces for any evidence not easily visible to the naked eye. Samples of hair, nails and the like are taken, and the body may also be radiographically imaged.
Once the external evidence is collected, the body is removed from the bag, undressed, and any wounds present are examined. The body is then cleaned, weighed, and measured in preparation for the internal examination. The scale used to weigh the body is often designed to accommodate the cart that the body is transported on; its weight is then deducted from the total weight shown to give the weight of the body.

If not already within an autopsy room, the body is transported to one and placed on a table. A general description of the body as regards ethnicity, sex, age, hair color and length, eye color and other distinguishing features (birthmarks, old scar tissue, moles, tattoos, etc.) is then made. A handheld voice recorder or a standard examination form is normally used to record this information. In some countries e.g. France, Germany, and Canada, an autopsy may comprise an external examination only. This concept is sometimes termed a "view and grant". The principles behind this being that the medical records, history of the deceased and circumstances of death have all indicated as to the cause and manner of death without the need for an internal examination.[citation needed]

I'm another one who is interested in the source and details of the convo between M and her father (where he went to bed crying). Anyone? I'm wondering if it was from one of the new WS posters who belong to another forum where someone has had phone contact with Mom.

It was, and the mods have since removed that thread and it looks like everyone is getting a handslap for posting any info over here.

FWIW, the mom called the poster. I have pretty much all the details we were given but no source, so...I'm sure the mom will address it.

That poster has stated she's not comfortable posting here. She was asked if she'd mind posting here since she had the direct line but she declined (no judgement, it's her call).

Welcome. I was a lurker a long time.....and I still don't know how to navigate the site all the way. Enjoy, but I must warn, it can be pretty addictive. Just spend a little time over in the unidentified and you will know what I mean.

Marshmallow.....I think everything else has come from the blog, I'm not sure were the info M talking to dad the night she died came from....maybe you know and can link the information? I would love to see it.

BBM

Someone that is a member of the other forum discussing this had to have brought that up. That was something that TI told one of the members there. FYI, TI contacted her, not the other way around.

We must have posted at the same time :)

One blog post stated that they asked M for her input on who she could think of that could do this, and after talking to E, she named K and e-mailed the police. It's from this post: http://morganingram.com/wordpress/?p=859

WS Mods may not like that being linked here since TI posted K's full name in the screenshot- I wanted to link my source though, let me know if it's a no-no.

Anyway, could that be where it's coming from that they had a "suspect list?"

Go read the account of M reaction when K name came up. She turned white as a ghost. She said she met him once and just looked at him and walked out because she got a creepy feeling. This whole thing sounds fishy to me. I think there was more to that story that she never told her mom about.

Hello All! :) This is my first post here. I heard about Morgan's story on a friends FB page and have followed the blog, and every post on here diligently. I finally decided it was time to chime in! I have a couple of points here, for now.

1. It's very common for Google Maps to let areas know when they are doing ariel or street shots. I've seen some funny pictures all over the web where people have written things in their grass, taped something funny into the car window facing the street, etc. I can't personally read too much into the lawn writing because of that. It could have very well been a joke. Also, there has been nothing mentioned (there may be at a later date) about the people who live there.

2. The Ingram's DID own their home. They moved out and leased another home shortly, IIRC 6 weeks, after Morgan's death because they could not deal with the pain. I think that is where the confusion is occurring in regards to them leasing rather than owning. Their house sold shortly after and was a great loss. As they did own the home and not rent, the HOA would have no reason to have their keys.

Anyway, glad to be here and not lurking in the background any longer. I am already addicted and love to read all of your great theories. :)

I swear the mom says in a recent comment that they were renting. I'm trying to find it.

We did it again, haha!

Welcome and TYVM for this info! :)

Welcome, Crazy Eights!

M's mom posted in a comment recently that they were renting the home, but you are right, they moved out shortly after their daughters death. I'd link you to it, but I have to go feed the family before they resort to PopTarts for dinner, LOL!

Welcome to WS, CrazyEights!!!

I read a comment on Mom's blog that says that they were renting that house for 6 (or was it 8?) years. And in another blog entry (or comment) she said that they just couldn't stay there after M died, and moved (I think it was 6 week afterwards). IIRC.

Now CrazyEights is gonna think we're gangin' up on them. ;) j/k

I tend to agree based on TI saying that the funeral home wouldn't return her calls on the matter.

IIRC, the coroner wouldn't return her calls for any matter, so it didn't necessarily have anything to do with her nails.
