Hmmm. He should not be allowed near his wife and kids on any account. I think he could be a danger to them and himself and lose it again. He clearly needs some help and may get that in prison.

I am seriously wondering what they are thinking. He admits he makes irrational decisions. Are they hoping the Clear Creek and Indy warrants will keep him in jail? If he absconds one more time he gets the 2 years sentence is that how it works?

So he's out on these charges but now goes to Clear Creek to be jailed. I'm amazed he only got probation for menacing with the hatchet?
Seems too lenient IMO.

too many secrets..this is really sad, hope LE has some kind of end game..they better pray jesus, joseph and mary that this doesn't turn into more murders in more places.

I hope to god they have a plan...If I was KN I'd bleach my hair blonde and move to Cuba, because he is DANGEROUS as hell..

in defense of the court...they can only try him for what he's charged with..not what he's suspected of.

I cannot believe they can't find the way forward to make a case somehow ..I really hope they can pull things together in time.

I can see him being very very dangerous to his family...all those crocodile tears..bad decisions..etc..he will hack up his apartment, break noses, strangle, chase , destroy property...

he sure was calm cool and collected when he keyed that car...didn't look to me like a man in the grips of PTSD.

truly frightening. HOWEVER

instead of not talking...maybe it's time to start talking..maybe it's time for KN to come forward before he can get his hands on them again. I CANNOT BELIEVE how this guy works the system..he's a pro, Ill tell you what...he's no dimwit.

This really surprises me. This is one scary dude! Chasing people with hatchets, beating his wife, m'bating in front of women and children. What's it going to take for him to stop terrifying others? I can't imagine supervised probation getting him the mental health issues so desperately needed addressed.
How often does he have to report? Once a week? Every 2 weeks? Once a month? Quarterly?
I sure hope he doesn't get custody of his children too! I expect that they will give him monitored visitation with them at this time. Which brings me to another question. If the children are in CO state custody and he is awarded monitored visitation, then he goes to IN on those warrants, can the children be transferred to IN state custody if KN moves there too?

We also learned on Monday that Nations has an outstanding warrant in Clear Creek County for false reporting that will be dealt with at a later time.

Actually I'm not buying any of this. No judge is this stupid, nor is any prosecutor. Call it tunnel vision if you want. She's put out interviews basically talking about his violent tendencies, his sexual preferences, his likeness to the sketch. Now her hepays account is public. He will kill her, and everyone knows it.


They had their kids sleeping in a tent in the cold. DCS isn't going to give him "his babies"

This judge and prosecutor knows what is out there on DN, and all that people have said. They have undoubtedly read the transcripts of him chasing children and adults with a hatchet. If he got out and hurt someone, it would be on them.

I know that this will he met with a million "there is nothing else to talk about...they have nothing on him" and other such snark. And I get that. But this is not adding up.

I feel this, today, was all a show. If nothing else, colorado doesn't want him yet. He'll be shuffled to Indiana to face his failure to register charges, for now.

I'll bet she takes him back too.

If the media hadn't brought DN into the limelight, he'd be but one of the multitude of deadbeats that plague the court system. Sadly the story of his life is not really unique.

Just my opinion but he's not smart enough to outwit LE on one let alone three murder charges.

You don't get a custodial for false id do you? Yet running around threatening with a hatchet only gets probation. Perhaps the Clear Creek charges are something we don't fully know about.

BBM - And not to mention (but I'm going to anyway) that imo he had his children in the car w/him while he waved his hatchet at people.

I so hope that the court will be able to make a decision for these innocent little children that will serve their best interest in the future. <sigh>

Just my opinion but he's not smart enough to outwit LE on one let alone three murder charges.

I'm reserving my judgement on his intelligence ATM. He's not doing bad so far in the outwitting stakes.
