Wow. Her I.Q. is only 76. That answers a lot of questions. Such a sad story.

Granted, she is no intellectual but I think her IQ was deliberately (by her or lawyers) assessed to be low enough to garner her sympathy. The ole "she didn't know any better" kind of excuse.

76 is generally considered to be borderline impaired or disabled. The definitions and scores vary according to different sites and such but here is the wiki link.IQ classification - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I totally agree about the IQ being suspect. I just don't see that as being accurate. Although I am sure she was never destined to be a Rhodes scholar, I think that years of hitting the sauce, popping pills, etc. probably didn't help either.
And she probably thought that just flaking out on the IQ Test would show that she was either incapable of knowing her actions were wrong or make people think she was so distraught, etc.

I followed this case in the beginning and could not believe what a low life this woman is. Those 2 adorable angels were sacrificed due to this playing around. I forgot she was offered a plea deal, I was shocked they offered her one. I am glad she turned them down, I hope she spends a lot of years in a cell, I pray the jury does the right thing.
