this is in reference to earlier discussion the gun vs. water hose. when I saw this pic of that micro uzi that gingr snap had already shown, this one made my draw drop when I saw it with the shoulder stock opened (would look and be same size in diameter as a hose, when looking at the gun facing it,as in his pic) ... If we discuss this further I know we'll have to switch threads. Just wanted to show the unbelievable resemblance this pic is to what Joe has in his pic.. IMO
1st pic is with the shoulder stock open, the 2nd is of the shoulder stock closed as it looked in gngr snaps pic.

Below is a paragraph from rc talking to Cobra about what he did when he left PDM. He doesn't mention the time (very coy) but he does give us enought information to tell us LE has said he took way too long getting home from work.

Now if he arrived home at 3:23 and got off work at 3:00am., the LE would NOT be questioning him on what took him so long. In fact they should have been asking him how that hezz did he get home so fast..

...."ron: at 3:26 is when the 911 call was made. so, i must have pulled in at
about 3:23. they also have ummm surveilance videos from the top of the
hill where it goes from two lanes to 4 lanes… they asked me if i was
there what took me so long to get home? i said i stopped at the store…
well what store? i told em, well what did you buy? i said, i bought
a pack of basic lights in a box, i bought a pack of newport shorts
in a box, i bought a pack of honey roasted peanuts, i bought a pack of
salted peanuts, and i bought a 30 ounce Budweiser in a bottle.

ron: guess what? they went on pulled the tapes, guess what they found?

ron: now they said, well how the ** did you get home from this amount
of time to this amount of time… well because I drive like
a cracker ready to get home from work!"

Ron's words indicate he took way too long to get home, suggesting to me that he got off work earlier than 3:00am. I am just amazed that he once again left out the time he left work...if you are telling a story, a person would never speak like this, they would give the time. IMO, he is hiding something.

San Mateo, FL.

If you googlemap both these addresses, you'll see that Ron does have to go from a 4-lane to a 2-lane not too much before getting to the San Mateo KE. I'm just saying I have a FEELING the one he went to was further down 17.

But this is OT. I thought I'd answer the question

I was just trying to mark the spot, because apparently LE has Ron on tape at this location. I think LE surprised Ron with that little bit of info and that's why he explained it to Cobra.

Why are we discussing hospitals releasing patients at 5:30 am?
RC says that HC had been on JO's all night so IMO it does not refer to a day he got home from the hospital at 5:30. It's some earlier point in time when he wasn't in hospital yet and Joe was saying he would leave but didn't.

It wasn't just Joe saying he was going to leave. According to Ron, Joe's ride (gf) was there.

IMO, Hank was Tommy, not Misty's Dad. Ron realized he messed up with Joe's gf being there which mean it happened on the 9th so tried to cover by saying Hank, Sr.

When Cobra asked who was Hank, you would expect Ron's reply to be 'Misty's Dad." But Ron bought himself some time "Hank was, uh Misty's dad."

I just had some quick questions on timing on the release of these tapes here in question. Does anyone know WHEN Cobra's series of tapes-in-full were released to the public? Was rather recent? Who released them?

Is there anything interesting about the timing of their release? I believe they were released in snippets before (via semi-legitimate media - i.e. AH, BNN, etc.) vs. being released in full now. Did TJ ever deal with these tapes (before he was forced off the Haleigh case by his health/editors)?

I'm just wondering if there is perhaps a reason their release was stalled until a certain time? But I don't have/know specifics on them and thought someone here might recall.

ETA: Mods, I'm also posting this on the questions thread...for those who check there regularly and may be done checking this thread...

Thanks Nomoresorrow! I found the pics and it seems obvious, at least to me, that Ron was off before 3am. Ron told Cobra that he was spotted at the top of the hill, at a certain time, and LE wanted to know what took so long to get home. Ron got home at 3:23 (so he say). GER pics show that it would have taken about 30 minutes for the entire route. Ron said he stopped by the store and LE went after the store video. listening to Ron talk, it seems after LE got the store video, they were curious as to how he got home so fast from there. I am so confused...I need help (or sleep) But, the fact that LE was even checking these cameras and store video, tells me that they were NOT believing Ron's story. And it also tells me that his work alibi was NOT enough to clear him.

I'm not sure I get your meaning. Why would he need to lie about Tommy being there if it was really Tommy who said so? Why couldn't Joe's girlfriend have been there on other days besides the 9th? And wasn't Hank Sr in hospital on the 9th?

He makes this sound like it happened the same day he had found and hid the gun and then he came to watch who's coming to get it. Do you think this was on the 9th, the day before Haleigh went missing? Why?

If this was after Haleigh was already missing I'm stunned that he had nothing better to do and think about. And what's up with saying "his room"? It sounds like a teenager coming downstairs from his room at his parents' house. Did he mean his (and Misty's, and Jr's, and Haleigh's bedroom on 202 Green Lane? If he hid his gun there this has got to be before the MH was taped as a crime scene. He didn't have a room for a while afterwards when he was camping. He wouldn't have got a room of his own on 116 Tyler, the way it was cramped with people, I don't think.

But in the next bit directly following the previous bit he is talking about Joe being there at the doctor with Hank. Does this refer to the Gainesville hospital visit on the 10th, the morning after Haleigh went missing? If it does, it is Hank Sr he's talking about all along, IMO. How would Tommy and Joe end up being "at the doctor" together?

It makes me think that there may be a time shift between the coming out of his room bit and seeing Joe's gf part and the conversation with Hank here and they didn't necessarily happen the same day. If he's talking about Joe and Hank being at the hospital on the tenth there's a place shift anyway, and who told him about this conversation? It's got to be second hand info since it has not been reported that Ron went with Joe to get Lisa from the hospital.

Now if this is the hospital visit on the 10th, how could Hank Sr. have been on Joe's all night? Unless he was in a private room, the nurses usually like to shut you up and keep you from talking to your phone all night to avoid keeping other patients awake. This could be Tommy he's talking about here I guess. Or he's just been told by all the Croslins that oh we've been on Joe's constantly ever since, even if they hadn't.

We're getting back to the question, when was the gun stolen? When was the fight? If the gun was stolen on the third day of Joe's visit what made the issue so urgent on the night on 9th/10th that necessitated being on his all night? Why not some of the nights in the preceding week or two?

Is there another time shift here? Or did they know that Haleigh was missing already and got onto Joe for more than the gun?

RC came in the house at 6 o'clock. What day? Why does he mention the time but not the day? What time did Joe leave on the 10th?

It's hard to believe he'd have had this exact conversation after Haleigh went missing because it seems to me that it's about the gun, not about the girl. Although he referred to Haleigh as "stole" so who knows. (It just seems to me that if he stole a child to molest her the father might want to crush more than his hands afterwards.)

OK, then moving on to the important stuff: the custody issues with Crystal S... (Dunno but it seems to me that if Joe was my strongest suspect on the basis of the gunfight business with me I might have wanted to discuss the probability of Joe having my daughter and the possibilities of recovering her a bit further instead of just throwing the name out there and on to other people I don't like.)

Debs, months ago, I finally quit worrying about which store he stopped at since it was driving me nutz and it doesn't really matter that much in the overall scheme of this insanity. However, you have reason to have more than a FEELING in thinking the store was the Satsuma location and I believe I can tell you the source.

I'm not aware of a credible link anywhere that states the Satsuma location was the one but, a long while back, on a certain BTR Sunday afternoon show, AH was one of the guests along with Cobra. There was a spirited debate between those two about which location was "the winner" with AH saying San Mateo and Cobra adamantly insisting it was the Satsuma store.

Almost immediately afterward the fur started flying across the boards over which location he stopped at.

Don't ask me for a link to the specific show because the only way I could give it would be to listen to hours and hours of the archives for that show and I ain't a gonna do hit! I'd be talking to myself and writing with crayons time I was finished. If there is anyone needing the specific show information, first of all please accept my sympathies, but I can narrow it down somewhat by again pointing out that both Cobra and AH were on the show. Cobra was there every week but AH was more sporadic.

To pin it down a little further, this was right about the time that one of the call-ins allegedly had her husband wrap her head with duct tape, live on the air. I missed her next stunt which she said, to test her "Haleigh's on a train" theory, she was gonna attempt to chase down a train on foot and toss a 40 lb bundle in an open box car. I asked a clerk up at the Kangaroo on the Hill, San Mateo, if LE had taken the video from that night that RC supposedly stopped to get his items. I was told that they had taken it. This Kangaroo would have been on his direct route home from work. However, if he'd of stopped at the Kangaroo in Satsuma, it would've been out of his way, meaning he'd of had to of gone past his turn, Buffalo Bluff, and back tracked to go home. Again, talking to a clerk at the Satsuma Kangaroo, they didn't know about any video tape being turned in to LE...not to say it didn't, just that they didn't know. On the other hand, the clerk(s) at the Satsuma Kangaroo, all knew who RC was BEFORE HaLeigh disappeared, stating that he regularly came into the store.
I have come to the conclusion that it's a toss up! I couldn't narrow it down any more than this.

Cargo trains, I've seen plenty in my 20+ years of living here in Satsuma and rarely quite honestly, can I ever recall seeing any of the doors open!
If the train was heading southward, it would have been traveling slower, after crossing the trestle over the St. Johns River and going uphill from there.
If the train was going northward, it would be traveling much faster, reaching the bottom of the hill at Buffalo Bluff crossing area...where it would be slowing somewhat to cross the river.
IMHO, it would be nigh impossible to toss or jump a moving train.

It was discussed way back in the beginning. I asked about that train at Buffalo Bluff and someone did say what kind it was, but I don't remember anymore. Sorry. IIRC, I think they said it was an express train of some kind, like an Amtrak. I looked up the map of rail cars, but it doesn't say which is which, rail vs Amtrak.

Maybe it's just me but I am very puzzled by this. Like I mentioned before, it sounds like...from the point at the top of the hill (where Ron's car was seen on surveillance) LE thought it took him too long to get home...BUT...when Ron tells them he stopped by the store, after they pulled the store video, LE wanted to know how he got home so fast...? How would that be possible if the store he stopped by was on his way home from work? Isn't the Satsuma store near the top of the hill? It would kinda make sense to me if Ron went to the store-out of his way-to make up for the time lost after being spotted at a certain point. Another thing that I noticed is that when Ron is telling the story to Cobra, he says "ummm they also have surveilance video from the top of the hill, where it goes from 2 lanes to 4." Maybe GER can answer this for me?? Leaving PDM-doesn't the road go from 4 lanes to 2?? Maybe it's just the wording that Ron used but it just didn't sound right to me. If Ron is discussing what he did when he left work, you would think he would say, "where it goes from 4 lanes to 2"...Maybe I'm just being picky.LOL It just made me wonder, if he did stop by the store closest to PDM, was he coming from home?? Didn't LE search the stretch of highway that led to and from PDM?

Does anyone know what car Ron drove to work?? I wonder what car was spotted on surveillance?? With all the confusion about the time, I wonder if someone else was driving Ron's car?
