Regarding RC being able to see Joe's girlfriend looking in the culvert when she came to get him on Feb 10th: I have consulted our resident local photographer Ger, and she kindly informed me that the tents where RC and family were set up were almost DIRECTLY ACROSS THE STREET from Tommy's house in a vacant lot. To me, this makes the scenerio of RC seeing the girlfriend there ENTIRELY possible. Thank you Ger for the information!

See, Donjeta, that's what I don't understand either. I'm really confused as to what day Ron is referring to, because he throws Jo's girlfriend in the mix of things. As far as I know, Jo's girlfriend had only been in Satsuma twice...once to drop JO off and once to pick JO up. I tend to think that it is the latter of the two.

If Ron is to be believed...to me it sounded like Ron was saying that he didn't tell no one that he hid the gun so it was hidden in secret. Now, either JO saw Ron hide that gun in the culvert or because Ron was coming down from out his room, JO saw him and assumed Ron had hidden the gun in the room. Ron makes it sound like that JO told this girl where to look. But how can that be, if the day Jo girlfriend is there, Ron is staying in a tent? I don't get it. Ron suggests that this girl is looking for the gun...IMO, in the culvert....but by that time he had already retrieved the gun and cleaned it....so it was like the joke was on them. Ron had outsmarted them...but then it makes me question why Ron and JO would be so pressed on getting or cleaning this "dirty" gun? There has to be a reason.

I will explain my take on the gun theft story, keeping in mind that RC didn't tell Cobra every little bit of what happened--we have to pick that up from Chelsea & Misty saying they searched for the gun. Here goes:

The first time RC meets JO, they are drinking beer and he shows off some of his guns. Either that night or sometime shortly after that, RC discovers the Beretta missing. He doesn't outright accuse JO, but that is his main suspect. He tells Hank Sr and they hint around at it--saying things in front of JO like "I wouldn't kill them, I'd just smash their hand with a tire iron so they couldn't steal anything ever again." Joe denies taking it. During this time, Hank decides he wants JO staying with him so he can keep an eye on him. He had been staying with Tommy up until then. So, once JO is moved out of Tommy's house, RC decides to have the girls search Tommy's property, since Hank has already checked everything he brought with him. After looking all over, the girls end up by the culvert and RC says-look there. Bingo--there's the gun. Maybe RC says leave it there and I'll come get it.

So RC gets the gun back, cleans it and THEN HIDES IT somewhere else. So, as far as Joe knows, the gun is still where he left it in the culvert. It was there because he didn't want to get Tommy in trouble if it was found--the driveway culvert area is considered easement area in most communities. And I don't think it even crossed his mind that a child might find it there--after all, Joe has no kids of his own & wouldn't worry about them.

Hank has his car accident and ends up in the hospital so JO is moved again to Timmy's place. The night Haleigh disappears, after everyone is in bed and sleeping, JO takes the van and heads to Tommy's to retrieve the gun since he's leaving in the morning. It's gone. What happened after that and to Haleigh, I don't know.

The police come to RC's and he turns the Beretta over to the officers after threatening to kill the kidnapper. He has had it hidden somewhere since they found it in the culvert.
Tents were set up that morning (10th) since the MH was a crime scene. There had been statements that there is no way RC could see Tommy's culvert from the MH and that is true. However, being in a tent right across the street from Tommy's he could
very easily see the girlfriend on the 10th when she came to get JO and observe her looking in the culvert for something. So I am stating that I believe the comment RC made to Cobra happened on Feb. 10th. I hope this is halfway clear lol.

Papa I am relying on the information and pictures Ger sent me. She said
"The empty lot was almost directly across from TC/LC's home. It was an empty lot between two mobile homes...I'd say it was kitty korner from their home. It was CLOSE." It was not DIRECTLY across but a little closer to the MH than Tommy's--so kitty corner. In which case he would have to turn to look at Tommy's. Maybe that's what he meant by the corner. All I know is this puts a different perspective on the day JO left for me--the girlfriend and JO would be very visible to the family. I am not even saying I believe everything RC says, but I do see this could be a feasible circumstance. JMO

CP.. Where is the picture you posted the other day that gave us an idea as to the distance from Monroe down to Tommy's house? Were the tents set up at the corner of Monroe and Tyler or closer to Tommy's house

Em, the tents were directly across the street from Tommy's house! Watch this short video. The camera actually shows looking out of the front of the tent and Hank Sr. is right there in his D/W. The culvert was not more than 25-30 feet from the tent!.

As to the distance from the only corner (Tyler and Monroe), it is almost 3 football fields from that corner to the driveway/culvert at Tommy's house.

Looking back the other direction, from Tommy's driveway:

*ETA I went back and looked at the video again and the camera is actually outside the tent on the side, not inside as I indicated above, but it's still a very short distance with NO corners between the two.

Thanks for the link to the video CP.. I see now where their tent was in relation to Tommy's house....Wonder WHY they didn't set up their tent on that corner lot..

I don't know what RC considers a corner. Heck, he could have lifted up that plastic and went out the back of the tent for all I know. There are no real sides on that funeral tent. Then he could sneak up and look around the corner towards Tommy's.

LOL, I've never known my friend Ger to be worng! Doob, did you find somewhere that said the tents were set up on the morning of the 10th, or is that a part of the theory you've put together?

I've just never heard that before is the only reason I'm asking.

Papa-regarding when the tents went up I guess I am assuming. The best I can do is an article posted the 19th saying they had been staying there the past 10 days. They had to be staying somewhere I guess since they couldn't get in the MH. And I'm sure they wanted to be close by and not in Welaka.

For 10 days, both Cummings' family and Sheffield's family have

from viewing these tapes i felt as if there was total misleading statements made threw out the tapes to mislead the public and le away from some of the main players in the very beginning of this case.as is the situation as of today.alot of misleading and no truth imo.

Are you talking about Big "O"? To my knowledge we haven't seen or heard a peep out of him since he vanished... He was hovering over Ron C like a bodyguard in the beginning..Then POOF he was gone...
It was rumored their friendship ended over money Ron C owed him but I cannot imagine a good friend wanting his bestest pal to pay up immediately especially when that friend is grieving the loss of a missing child... I would love to know where he is, IF he has ever been questioned by LE and WHY he just disappeared.. ...JMHO

not like there was'nt space in front of the mh. There are no homes directly across the road from the mh. To me it felt like they could'nt bear to be that close to the mh or they just did'nt want Crystal near Haleighs home. so they said we'll set up over here you go over there. idk jmo
