Cockleburs

Those scratches could have been caused by Palmetto Palms. Those things don't grow very tall, maybe 5 or 6 ft., and the fronds are sharp. Enough to cause scratches on a car for sure.

Definitely, I think that is what cut my finger open. But from what I saw, it would be very difficult to go through the palmettos for any distance (though it would explain a ripped bag and spill). Only the men with machetes were able to search the palmetto palm areas.

Not sure about open field areas, but I would think you wouldn't find them in a dumpster. :)

True. Although I think she spent a few days driving around scouting out locations, (and/or moving the body), so it wouldn't eliminate the dumpster being the final spot, in my thinking. So many variables in this case. :banghead:

I just never have believed that KC exerted herself very much in disposing of Caylee. First off, she never seems to have always worn much of anything but flip flops. Secondly, I just can't see her in the woods after dark, tromping around in mud or bushes. She would not dirty herself, IMOO.

I think a lot of people agree with you on that.

On the other hand, she is not elderly or overweight. She jogged, is young, and pretty fit. She does own sneakers. Although people speak of her nails, I have only seen them short. She wears shorts and had on an athletic top on the shovel day, iirc. She watched crime shows. If her image and world as she wanted it, was on the line, I think she could have hiked to get rid of evidence or Caylee's body.

Remember KC comments about loving Survivor show. She stated her tiny figure would help her along with her straergies. I think she may have been playing the femmfatal when trying to cover her tracs, Just another KC move in her game of survival.

I've seen many references to Casey's love of crime shows, but I do not know what the original source of the info is. I myself have previously thought she enjoyed CSI.
But,

Do we think Casey watched crime shows because someone outside the Anthony family has actually seen this on a regular basis, or because Casey says so?
If it is because Casey has stated that is what she watches, then I would believe that is not what she watched.
Pathological liars don't need a logical reason or any reason to lie.
They just do.

jmho:)

I believe early in the investigation KC had various favorite TV shows posted on her My Space page. I think her statements about what shows she watches aren't a big deal except it appears she enjoys outwitting people. This goes right along with her possible sociopathic behaviors stated by CA.

we call them burdock here in canada..check out this poor dog!

Y'all, you're barking up the wrong tree. I posted early on that these plants aren't mature enough in summer to stick, someone from Florida posted they aren't mature enough to stick until November.

There are a couple of plants that have burs. There's burdock and another plant that is called cocklebur.

Some of you I think are talking about tick trefoil or beggar's ticks. Those are the little triangular seeds that stick to your clothes. They're not nearly as bad as burs. They can stick when they're green.

Did you know the guy who invented velcro was inspired by burs?

Anyway, no one going into the woods in Florida in June or July would get burs on their clothes.

Hmm.. You might be right.. I can't recall if I've ever gotten the burrs I got on the Nov 8 search during early summer. I do know that I've stepped on sandspurs in the spring and summer.

There were two types of things stuck to me (lol) on the search. I just looked up a pic of the beggar's tick, that looks like the little green things that were stuck to me (these stuck but were not hard to remove and not painful). I forgot about those things. The other thing were these burrs that were very compact (1/4" diameter or smaller), with maybe 8-10 thorn-like things that stuck to you, but they were painful in your socks and very hard to remove. It took forever to get them out of my hair, and off my clothes.

:floorlaugh:That word is just funny....cockleburs, cockleburs, cockleburs...hahah :floorlaugh:

I don't know what's going on with my woods then, because no matter what season it is, one will come out of the thicker wooded areas looking like "Botany 101."
Some of the clinging stuff hurts and some is harmless. I will defer to Gardenhart though, as I have tapes to review per today's release. :D
That said, there's a good chance, leaving out the whole spur/burr question, that an individual walking in the woods in the dark would end up with at least a few teeny puncture holes from the killer cactus that's all over.

Casey was wearing the grey striped pants on the day she was last seen with Caylee, June 16th. There's no way to know what clothing she was wearing when she disposed of Caylee's body 2.6 days later.

Well if we are getting this info on the grey pants from GA, we have no way of knowing if that is what she was wearing or if she was really even there.

Forgot to add, I don't disagree with you Chilly; I just have no faith in any Anthony pronouncements anymore.
