command center disbanded as leads slow down

I'm still holding out hope - and have always had hope - that somehow Thanksgiving will lead to resolution in this case.

Someone will have a little to drink, and out will come the tip that solves it. Maybe someone who is on probation or otherwise fears cops, or someone who shouldn't have been in that neighborhood or out that night, or someone who really doesn't want to look foolish with an incorrect tip. OR, an extended family gathering where the Baby Lisa shows up as a newly adopted baby or is there being passed off as the baby they've met before but somehow now looks pretty different.

I've waited for Thanksgiving to come and go in this case - in the hopes this jiggers the information out somehow.

This very sad news. I am afraid that this case is going off the radar. If I was DB/JI I would take this as a sign that they need to sit down with LE again.
I also wish they would take it as a sign to get rid of their current attorneys. That said, I do see the need/want for an attorney present, but not THESE attorneys. They are IMO not helping the family, but only helping themselves.

If the parents are guilty, it would be best for them and their team to stop talking to the media, and the case will disappear from the headlines by Christmas. Lisa's case will join the ranks of all the other cases that were high profile at one point, where everyone in the country was aware of it, but you would get a confused look if you mentioned the case today.

Joe T and John P did what they were hired to do: represent both Deborah and Jeremy during the police investigative process in the disappearance of their baby. They were hired to protect both parents from being interrogated by LE. So far so good. If DB has something to hide (and IMO she does), there is no reason in the world to seek new attorneys.

The parents need to go talk to LE so they can be eliminated from the picture. I cannot for the life of me understand why they will not do this one simple thing. If LE could exclude them it would free them up to have more resources. It's such a sad thing that Baby Lisa will not be here to enjoy a Thanksgiving day with her brothers. It's sad that these parents don't care enough about her to try to help her.

And yes, the attorney did say that he had spoken to JI that day and that JI told him that they were just about back to 100% normal and that their lives were getting easier every day. JI told it to the lawyer, per the lawyer.

Just pathetic excuse for parents they are. I have nothing for either of them.

We know the dad has an alibi. But how would Deb be able to be cleared, and we know they are suspecting her. IMO LE won't exclude them until they have the abductor if there is one..look at jaycee case didn't they suspect the stepdad til the day she was found. So I can't really believe they will give up suspecting her and that's the problem. I really had more faith that the FBI could solve it ,it's not like there isn't one clue to go on here. Sad.

I'm saddened to think that yet another missing child case might not be solved, but I'm not surprised at this turn of events. I don't think that any LE agency can be expected to focus all of its attention on one case when there are so many others that require their resources. jmo

::sigh:: As soon as I saw this headline, my thoughts went immediately to Kyron Horman.
I knew it makes practical sense to pare down the LE "war room", so to speak.......I just don't want another "where ARE YOU, Kyron??" situation to go on for months and months (and years!). Same goes for Haleigh, and Hassani......and so many other innocents. So sad. :(

JMO....

I guess closing the command center could signal a new phase in this investigation, but it could go a couple of ways, IMO. Maybe there's a stall in the investigation, LE feels they have exhausted all the avenues open to them and unless there is an unexpected break, this case may go cold. It's also possible that LE is pretty clear about their theory of the case and feels that's it up to prosecutors to proceed. The call to MW's cell phone and the location of pings make it highly unlikely that the perpetrator (and accomplices, if any) come from outside that neighborhood so that leaves the parents or someone from the neighborhood as the most likely responsible. In a case with so many remarkable coincidences, I suppose a random stranger abduction is possible, but I think the chances there are slim. Up to about 25 years ago, prosecutions were based on circumstantial evidence in large part. Nowadays, juries expect forensics, the CSI factor. Who knows what forensic evidence, if any exists. All MOO and my random theorizing.

bbm1 = I don't understand that unless they are focusing solely on the parents.
bbm2 = It's possible he didn't mean their entire life, but just their move back home and regular routines with the boys.

Moving investigators to other cases, however you want to word it.

Take heart Nat. IMO LE was using all the resources they could because they had parallel investigations going on ( no tunnel vision) and have narrowed down where they need to focus. They no longer need as many investigators. JMO

I agree. Here's hoping they do. But if not...

Aren't we all hoping we are never a "cold case?"

That our loved ones are never "cold cases?"

So thats what they have for leads, psychic's. Come on Baby Lisa's parents. It's time to grow up. When the boy's grow up, they will know you hid behind closed doors. They may never forgive you for not doing everything posible to bring their sister home.

Could they have convinced themselves they best serve the boys by staying behind those doors? Ugh.

The pumpkin and pecan pies are baked and cooling on the racks. The turkey is brining and the family has gathered to share our blessings tomorrow.

I was hopeful that I would come here and find that I had one more blessing to give thanks for ~ but found this instead. It might be unsurprising for some, a normal course of action, a well considered realignment of scarce manpower and an overwhelming spate of crime in KC ~ but it nonetheless represents a significant stage of transition that is not beneficial to Baby Lisa. My heart is deeply saddened.

Where is Baby Lisa?

I am sad even if I know this is a normal move at this point and doesn't necessarily mean the case won't be solved. Unless they are close to making an arrest and have very solid evidence it does seem like this case will stall for now unless they get lucky. I bet Lisa's parents are at LE literally every day beating down the doors begging for them to help find their child and helping out in EVERY way possible. Right?

Double ugh.
I hope that's not their reason yet it wouldn't surprise me.
