''The mother of a missing Sudbury woman is pleading for anyone who knows anything about her daughter's whereabouts to speak up.

OPP say 26-year-old Constance Richards, who also goes by Connie, was last seen on Tuesday, Aug. 4. They say she was seen driving erratically in the area of Fox Lake Road in the Cartier area north of Sudbury at 2:30 p.m. Her vehicle was later found abandoned in a gravel pit.

Richards' mother, Pamela Hatch-Fogarty, says it's unlike her daughter to leave and not say where she's going.

"She's always contacted somebody — me, a friend or somebody," she said. "She always reached out to somebody."


Hatch-Fogarty says she's concerned by the last message she got from her daughter; she didn't seem like her usual self.

"A lot is happening with her right now, emotionally and in her life," Hatch-Fogarty said. "I know she's having a hard time coping with that."

"Where her car was located, I'm worried that she's lost in the bush," she said, adding her daughter doesn't have the skills she would to survive off the beaten track.''

"Her vehicle appears to have been stuck in a gravel pit," she said.''

''Constance (Connie) Richards, 26, was last seen on the afternoon of Aug. 4 when witnesses told police they saw her driving erratically near Fox Lake Lodge, according to West Nipissing OPP, but police were unable to locate her at the time.

On Aug. 8, police officers received a call at around 11:45 a.m. about an abandoned car parked off Fox Lake Road in Ermatinger Township, 10 km southwest of Cartier''

''Members of the Nipissing West OPP, with the assistance of the OPP Canine Unit, the OPP Emergency Response Team, and the OPP Aviation Services-Helicopter section, are continuing to search the area where the vehicle was found.

“There are crews still on the ground, but so far they haven’t been able to identify any clues as to the missing person's whereabouts. The area they are searching right now has some pretty dense woods,” said OPP Cons. Michelle Coulombe on Monday. ''

“I knew that she had been acting strange. She had messaged me a few times saying some things that were out of character for her. I know that she was recently in a toxic relationship that she got out of not too long ago,” said Amos.''
''Richards is described as white, 5-4 (163 cm), 120 pounds (54.4 kg), with a thin build, long brown hair, and brown eyes.
She has the following tattoos:

• Right wrist: KR;
• Left forearm: JUPITER;
• Left wrist: AR; and
• Right arm: ANTHONY

OPP locate deceased person near Fox Lake Road - Sudbury.com

Members of the OPP Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit located a deceased person near Fox Lake Road in Venturi Township on Aug. 19, the police service reported this evening.

The body was found just after noon yesterday.


OPP said the identity of the person has not yet been confirmed, and the police have not stated the gender of the body that was found. A post-mortem examination is scheduled for tomorrow, Aug. 21, at Health Sciences North.

OPP have been searching in the area around Fox Lake Road since last week, in hopes of locating a missing Sudbury woman, Constance Richards,
