Yesterday an Orlando reporter interviewed a dozen early spring break college students playing shoulder to shoulder at the beach-
every single one said the same thing- It's an overblown hoax, no worse than a cold, yada yada.

Good afternoon everyone.
I am so behind, approx 1.5 threads and three days worth of press conferences, but wanted to come here to say I just finished Monday’s WHO Presser and, as usual, wow just wow. Again, I just can not say enough how absolutely brilliant Doc T and Dr. Mike are, imo.
While we get the transcripts of the Director General’s opening remarks posted on the WHO website, there is soooo much covered in the Q and A portions of these PCs which is not transcribed, unfortunately. While I’d like to comment on some specifics of Monday’s PC, I will refrain, considering I’m very behind and this is such a rapidly evolving situation, but wow, Dr. Mike and Dr. Tedros tell it how it is. Their intellect and experience is of the highest degree, and I just can’t say enough how much respect I have for them. There were a couple a statements they made in the last quarter of the conference where I was literally smiling with admiration and at one point I literally laughed out loud like “Yes, tell it like it is!”

At one point Dr. Mike actually addressed what I had “wondered” about in my most recent “random musing” last night when I was pondering the aspect of the transparency, or lack thereof, of certain nations. Dr. Mike basically said that there IS transparency, so I foolishly retract any insinuations I may have made, at least for now, specifically re: Japan.
As always, I look forward to catching up here.
I'd like to think HEALTH of our nation would be serious enough to ensure information is correct. This isn't just a political platform, but HEALTH. Sigh. This senate hearing is frustrating. I feel like they are getting some incorrect information.
Lafayette, LA Costco out of TP & some cleansers. Usually Cajuns only do this in the summer before hurricane season starts, then it’s usually bleach, TP, wine, JD,, crown royal, mops, & Xanax
WOW, if a town in Ireland can do a drive by test and have almost instant results- same day-Hospital in Antrim sets up drive-through Covid-19 testing service
A HOSPITAL IN Antrim is ready for drive-through testing for the Covid-19 virus and expects patients will receive results within four hours.
Yeppers....
I would consider thinking that Dr. C, (who the poster you quoted was just posting Dr. C's words, not the posters) and many many of us here, AGREE with that. We are not blaming the personnel, just the institution which is underfunded, and chit happens when regulatory and short staff and lack of resources happen. As with in the future, when folks die, we shall not blame the health care workers as they are stretched, underfunded and overstaffed without the right equipment to best do their jobs. Does that make sense?
Sometimes it's hard to understand individuals' postings unless you know their backgrounds on how they post over time ... and what is posted is subtle so we don't get into political iykwim???
Anywhoooo, I was the OP to bring it up... so that's my stance as to what I meant. I quoted w/o opinion.... I need to do more "winks" so folks will know I'm sitting on hands wanting to say more. Which I often do, believe it or not
....back to catching up!
They were told it lasts a few hours up to a day on surfaces! Really?! Why have we continually heard it likely lasts much longer than that?I'd like to think HEALTH of our nation would be serious enough to ensure information is correct. This isn't just a political platform, but HEALTH. Sigh.
