Yeah, it might be like having the flu for the vast majority of people. But on the larger level, this does have the potential to be quite a serious epidemic.
It's my understanding based on everything I've read that it's actually not like having the flu for the majority of people. The symptoms of this virus tend to be milder than the flu. The kind of stuff otherwise healthy people might not even go to the doc for. Like the flu, however, it does have an amplified impact on the elderly and health compromised.

Some people infected with the virus have no symptoms. When the virus does cause symptoms, common ones include low grade fever, body aches, coughing, nasal congestion, runny nose, and sore throat. However, COVID-19 can occasionally cause more severe symptoms like high fever, severe cough and shortness of breath, which often indicates pneumonia.
