I'm curious if anyone here has a plan in case someone in their household becomes infected but told to stay home. My husband is afraid he could bring it home to me and wants to be isolated from me if he gets sick. I honestly don't think I could manage taking care of him without having some contact.

We discussed this situation the other day, and decided that we would stay at home, together. Because that is really the only option. If I become sick, he is probably already exposed anyway, vice versa.

Interesting, how this CV19 brings up quite a few topics that most married couples don't discuss during a routine day. Wills, life insurance, living will, DNR, funeral services. We had quite the discussion about these topics after dinner the other night.

I suggest that this is a good time for all families to discuss these issues.

While many parts of Europe are canceling large gatherings, the mayor of Landerneau, a small city on the western tip of France, recently allowed a group to host a gathering of 3,500 people dressed as Smurfs — a world record.

But, if we listen to the news, we are encouraged to keep on keeping on, only with clean hands.
I’ve never been paranoid about a virus before, but this feels dif’ to me & I’m trying to exercise caution.

I am continuing with my daily life as usual but trying to stay well informed. And read news from different sources, don’t completely trust the ones that say there’s nothing to worry about here.

Is it me? I didn't say it wasn't a problem, I said that the New York City area has done it before, but if it is going to be mandatory we will be forced to self-quarantine. The virus has no borders.

If you or someone in your company tests positive, will you all not self-quarantine? That's something the small businesses have to be concerned about and work now on a plan.

Honestly, it would depend on what my bosses were ordered to do by officials. I doubt my bosses will come up with a plan because I don't think they take it too seriously at this time.

eta - I was out of the office yesterday, but I sent my boss a link that my stepkids school was closed yesterday because they believed one of the staff member's spouses was positive. He wrote back "haha are you telling me I should close 'Small Business'?"

The school is one town away from our office, and I live in the same town as the school. I do not think my boss's reaction is all that uncommon tbh. That being said, school is open today, and it was a false alarm.

I haven't read the whole article, but this says a UK couple contracted covid-19 on a plane, from a passenger a few rows away from them. They then, unknowingly, left a trail of infections in various places they visited between arriving in Vietnam until they were diagnosed. I don't know how big the 'trail' is.

Six states have primary elections today: Idaho, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, and Washington. I'm not aware of any special precautions underway in Michigan, but I would like to know what other states are doing.

Yep, wearing a mask. And we are being told masks won't help. Give me a break. If you don't have enough masks, so just say so, instead of claiming they won't help.

On Dr John Campbell's videos he said a Thai (I think) taxi driver caught it from a passenger who was wearing a mask.

I truly believe both are true, that the masks aren't always very helpful, and that they don't have enough.

I was reading the comments under a WISTV Facebook post with the chart of the symptoms of Coronavirus and flu. The comments under the post are the usual - more people die of the flu each year, it is just a cold, the media is hyping up the story for clicks, only those over 60 with other health problems need to worry. It is mind boggling that these people think this is just the flu or the common cold or media hype causing Italy to quarantine the entire country, the stock market is crashing, airlines are cancelling flights, major universities are moving to online schools,etc etc. Mind boggling and infuriating

Just two nights ago, as me and wife were discussing the virus latest news, we brought up the fact we dont even have a living will officially done yet for each other. We were like "Duh, what were we waiting for? A pandemic or something? "

I don't understand how they've been using these stockpiles? Why haven't they been used on a rolling basis so that if they had millions stockpiled, they gradually took out from the stockpile to send to hospitals with current orders, and replaced about half of that order into the back end of the stockpile so as to not end up with a huge number of expired items?
