My mom sent me to the neighbor's house to get them!Ha, times have changed. When I was young, folks did pox parties. For you young thangs, it was before vaccines were available/widespread. Moms would gather up all the kids and friends so that all got at once and as the also was better to get younger.
Glad all is ok with your son.
My mother in law gave my son Advil when he had Chicken Pox. I was at work and never thought not to tell her.
She was also taking his temp rectally with a basal body thermometer- but he felt much hotter than what it read.
I cant remember, but mercury basal body thermometer only reads to like 99° (or something)
He's great, no scarring from the pox or anything surprisingly.
His pox were bigger than quarters!!
