i dunno, its slightly like that but for 9/11 everything went from happy days to everything grinding to a halt in a couple of hours, no flights no nothing but its only last what a day or so ( the consequences for 9/11 are far reaching even up to today)
this might end up even longer depending on what happens. many laws changed in Australia to combat terrorism after 9/11 the fact we need to show ID and Register when you buy a prepaid simcard is one of those laws, and if you have 4 or more your file gets looked at because apparently you might be a terrorist
I wonder who declined? I'd add arrogance to ignorance.
Man what a depressing time to come. So sad.
I don’t know. I was depressed for much more than a day. That was a tragedy that hurt most of us for a long time. No one was watching anything in the theaters that was scary or about tragedies. People were very impacted for a long time. The fear gradually changed over time to acceptance of the new normal I guess.
OH only has five known cases, but they are telling people that at least 1 % of the population is likely already infected. So it's actually at least 100,000 cases. Horrifying.
Why would one need to withdraw their money from the banks ?
Coronavirus: Bergen County school districts (NJ) will close next week as cases rise
Schools in all 75 Bergen County school districts will shut down and transition to online and paper learning in an effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus, County Executive Jim Tedesco said Thursday night.
The recommendation came as Bergen County saw its presumed cases of coronavirus, or COVID-19, rise by two Thursday to 13, the most of any county in the state. State health officials said the risk to residents in the county is "moderate."
Tedesco said a decision to close schools was "a paramount decision, and I don't take it or make it lightly."
"It is vital that we protect our children from the danger of this virus," he said.
Just folks preparing for the worst.....It is no fun to go three+ weeks without electricity, banks being closed, etc. and all the business's in your area only accepting cash......This is common knowledge in Texas hurricane, tornado, natural disaster, country.....mooWhy would one need to withdraw their money from the banks ?

True that! I'm sick of seeing people in rest rooms not washing their hands. I have a mental "running list" of people in some areas of the country which I won't post here who do that but I will say that here in Washington state I'm impressed at the numbers (pre virus) who wash their hands thoroughly, with soap, even at the airport.Love your "Wash your hands" quote. So true. If there is any upside to all this, hopefully people develop healthier habits and become more prepared for emergencies.
I usually withdraw cash prior to a storm here in Nova Scotia for emergencies. Maybe people are thinking along the same lines? Why would one need to withdraw their money from the banks ?
