I had a horrible feeling we would all be personally affected in some way or another. Watching this virus build in China late December into January I didn't like what I saw coming. It's not just the deaths and the destruction of healthcare systems but the impact on the global economy, mass job losses, crime, breakdown in society. Nobody is ready for this coming storm. This is just the first wave, the second could be much worse. The numbers coming out of certain countries are not accurate for a number of reasons, mainly to reduce panic and lack of testing. Some people I know are only concerned because football games have been called off or because they can't go to the pub for a drink. They and many others are in for one heck of a horrendous shock.
I share your concerns! It will be interesting to see what happens from an economic stand point after all is said and done. Due to the fact that this is a worldwide event, I believe we’ll see some unique approaches in an attempt to revitalize the world economy.
I just hope we get to that point sooner rather than later.
