What good does it do for us to stay home and self isolate if children attend day care? It seems an almost breeding ground for coronavirus to me. Kids just naturally put things in their mouths, then touch and play with the other children. Then they go home and pass it on to their parents and siblings. Parents go to work and pass it on and on and on and on...........................................
I understand what you are saying I am always thinking of the 10% of an article that we are allowed to post here. I should have posted more imperative info.
Childcare needed for nurses, first responders, doctors, health-care employees, etc. Here is some more info from the link. There is more info in the article related to this that I did not post
""Some day care centers have voluntarily closed. But Murphy has not ordered all to do so. And he and the corporations that run the centers that stay open have faced criticism for not taking the same precaution with day care.
Murphy says he hasn’t shuttered them because some essential workers — such as first responders and health-care employees — need help caring for their children.
“We must ensure a continuity of child care for our frontline public health and response workers,” he said Monday.
Still, a few day care workers told NJ Advance Media the majority of the parents still using their centers do not work in essential fields.
This situation became more dire after officials announced Monday that a 5-year-old New Jersey boy had tested positive for coronavirus along with his parents. It was the youngest case reported in the state.
“Childcare providers who are able to serve critical needs at this critical time are doing very important work," state Human Services Commissioner Carole Johnson said. "We are grateful to them everyday for the work they do, but never more than during this challenging time.”
Day cares are staying open, will get additional state support, Murphy says
