He should have slammed NY closed awhile back.

"Spell says if anyone in his congregation contracts covid-19 he will heal them through God"

That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works.
If you believe you have special powers to heal, good for you. If that's the case, no one has died of cancer in that congregation. if those church goers spread the virus to others(especially front line medical workers) there should be prison time in store for him. Jmo

OCEAN...Glad you are staying in. My parents are in Valdosta and have been isolating for 3 weeks. Thank God, they refused to let anyone in. I'm in Atlanta, and staying in, although our highest risk is my immediate family...healthcare workers. Hoping Kemp does a shelter in place this afternoon.

Hi there my dear friend. I remember you telling me that. I pray they are doing well, and that it will continue.

Our children, and grandchildren have been wonderful.

It's been very hard on them not having physical contact with us, but they know they must stay away They are trying their best to isolate themselves too, and heeding all precautions.

So we are in constant contact with them either by phone, Skype or texts.

What does worry us though is my brother has been living with us this past year. Hes 58, and his career is essential for the coronavirus so he goes to work 5 days a week. At his company they have around 60 there. The company makes it mandority they each must do exactly as the guidelines say. They are no longer doing meetings in person, and it's by phone conference only. No one is allowed to come into anyone else's office during the day, and they have shutdown their inhouse cafeteria

My brother is somewhat of a germaphobe anyway, and a clean freak. So when he comes in for the day he takes his shoes off outside, sprays them down with lysol to dry. Of course he immediately comes in, and takes his shower. We are all making sure we wash our clothes on a daily basis. They are saying it's a good idea for everyone to do that since they could have walked in an area where someone with it had coughed or sneezed.

But we do worry since my brother must go to work, and can bring it home no matter how safe he tries to be.:(

My hubby had 3 cases of very good masks before this hit. So he is using a mask, and gloves if he must go to a store or pharmacy trying to be extra safe. If we hadn't had them already we sure wouldnt be buying them when so many need them.

My doctors are filling my prescriptions without me coming into the offices now since they have me at high risk.

I'm supposed to go back to the cardiologist at Phoebe the first week of April, but if we are still in the dangerous hotspot like now, I will refuse to go. The meds given all have at least 1 refill.

Everyone in America must do all we can to protect ourselves, and just as importantly to protect all others.

If it continues to community spread it will most likely be from millions who refuse to change their normal daily activities, and our health care workers, and all frontline responders will continue to come in contact with those who have it.

Iirc, 30 healthcare workers as of this weekend at Phoebe may be positive with the virus, and awaiting the test results. If so, its being spread inside the hospital as well who is trying to contain it. Sigh.

Its appalling to see so many unwilling to make any sacrifices for the good of all people, and instead are so self absorbed caring about no one, but themselves. :( I dont see how they can live with themselves knowing this is truly a life, and death situation.

Please be safe everyone! I deeply care about each one of you.

Jmho

That is definitely not how it works. People of faith need the connection that they have with God, I understand that. But there is away to do it and stay safe...and not depend on God to cure them if they catch it..or make it go away. It seems irresponsible to say.

I have always wondered - if God were able to cure this or to end it, why would God let Coronavirus even be here in the first place?

All MOO

Hmmm this seems so complicated (along with everything else). Where would they go I wonder? Thoughts anyone?
I think that this one of the most ridiculous ideas I have heard!

Robot designed in China could help save lives on medical frontline

A robot designed to help medical workers treat coronavirus patients remotely is seen, after having been placed for pictures, during a demonstration for the media at the aerospace engineering school of Tsinghua University in Beijing, China March 4, 2020. CARLOS GARCIA RAWLINS / REUTERS
''SHANGHAI — Researchers at one of China’s top universities have designed a robot they say could help save lives on the frontline during the coronavirus outbreak.

The machine consists of a robotic arm on wheels that can perform ultrasounds, take mouth swabs and listen to sounds made by a patient’s organs, usually done with a stethoscope.

Such tasks are normally carried out by doctors in person. But with this robot, which is fitted with cameras, medical personnel do not need to be in the same room as the patient, and could even be in a different city.''

China has sent tens of thousands of medical workers to the epicentre of the outbreak, Hubei province, state media say. More than 3,000 medical workers had been infected by late last month, including whistleblower Li Wenliang, whose death in early February sparked a brief and rare outpouring of grief and rage on Chinese social media.''

I'm not sure I'd trust a robot to stuff a swab up my nose. Oh, dang.

I know it doesn't say that. I just had a painful thought. Jmo

I’m totally embarrassed that this is occurring in my state. He hasn’t read his Old Testament well. @pirate, yes, pure Louisiana

@Bette & @pirate I’m considering asking my germaphobe cleaners to stay home. Not sure what she does in her spare time.
Another way to think about inviting cleaners into your home: They may be terrified of the risk as well, but also be afraid of losing customers once the danger had passed Also, if customers continue to use their services, it might send the message to them, their colleagues and families that "it's not really that risky." Imo
