Yes, I think it is a necessity also. He needs to be near the proper equipment should his condition go further south.

I would think that his condition is worsening, not staying stable, so going to Walter Reed is the smartest option at this time.

IMO
Yes, perhaps they learned from Boris Johnson that it's far better to go now, walking and waving, than to potentially have to go in an ambulance in a few days. Also, he has an extremely high motivation to get better as quickly as possible.

I dunno. I am concerned given the fact DT agreed to go to Walter Reed. I wonder if his oxygen sats were dropping. IMO

Very good point

Yes, there is something happening that makes them strongly advise taking the 'precautionary measure' of being close to an intubator.

His natural resistances are likely to be low, having been pushing himself hard for at least several weeks now .. perhaps being overtired and running on adrenalin.

And in the 'thumbs up' pic he is looking decidely overweight, which might have elevated his blood pressure.

There would have been a good deal of stress in his life for quite a while now, also. Which is often associated with a lower natural resistance to illness.

IMO

I thought Trump looked quite pale. Hard to tell if he was winded from such a short video. IMO

He's probably a bit shocked, too. Whatever procedures have been in place to protect him all these months, have clearly been breached lately.
I appreciate what your saying as I myself do not know anyone, personally, who has had it. But I am sorta freaked out about my son and daughter-in-law coming to Detroit for a Wedding then coming to see my 88 year old dad.

Well I'm a Momma bear so guess I will make the final decisions on this at that point.

Wow. Life has changed! But I'm tough, and we need to be!

Don't mess with mamma bear...she knows best...!!!

It's a dilemma, for sure. I've been invited to a birthday party (in a pub) on 19th Dec which I'd love to go to, but I'm thinking that would be the worst timing to then go and visit our parents for Christmas. Hopefully things will be looking rosier by then.

CNN just reported 9 people in Trumps orbit have tested positive. I'm sure there will be a link soon.

Stand tough..do what is best...

Look. If people in your life do not respect your choices then they do not respect you.

If people in your life care then they will be respectful of your choices. Do not be manipulated. Those days are over.

Time to do what we all feel is best.

Life is changing now, and quickly......

Make your best choices...for YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY, LOVED ONES.

A new beginning.....

I need to go to a funeral tomorrow. I'll be placing myself very strategically. Jmo

I never thought that holding rallies during a pandemic was a very good idea.

“Since Trump himself will be in isolation for a period of time following his diagnosis, it's unclear if his children will continue making campaign appearances on his behalf. As recently as Thursday — one day before his father's diagnosis was made public — Eric Trump was in Wisconsin, stumping for his father at an event in Rothschild.“

Oktoberfest.de - The official Oktoberfest 2020 Website

Oktoberfest, every where is canceled. Covid is such a buzzkill.

It certainly is! All the fun autumn stuff is cancelled here, too - bonfire night is a huge British tradition that's been cancelled (locally to me, anyway), Hallowe'en trick or treating seems unlikely, and my nearest city does a fantastic Light Night full of illuminated art installations and street markets, which is now going to be lasers projected into the sky so people can enjoy it from home.

At least we can still go looking for conkers :D

President Trump will spend the next few days at a medical executive treatment unit at Walter Reed. Matt Nathan, who served as the director of Walter Reed and then surgeon general during the Obama administration, told CBS News that the unit is like a mini hospital and a home away from home.

"It really has all the bells and whistles the president needs to run the country remotely," Nathan said.

Nathan said the unit is run by a dedicated staff of doctors, nurses and technicians who train to switch over from their daily duties to caring for the president. It has communications, eating facilities, Secret Service spaces, lodging for family members and office space.

Yay. I guess I will just buy a six pack of beer and watch Netflix. Happy Fall Fest. Just not the same.

Former President Obama, who participated in a virtual fundraiser Friday night with Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris, tweeted a message of support for President Trump.

"Michelle and I hope that the President, First Lady, and all those affected by the coronavirus around the country are getting the care they need and are on the path to a speedy recovery," Mr. Obama tweeted. "Obviously, we're in the midst of a big political battle right now, and while there's a lot at stake, let's remember that we're all Americans. We're all human beings. And we want everyone to be healthy, no matter our party."

I think it will be way better next October. Remember , no virus in the history of human kind has stayed forever 24/7 365 days a year! Not gonna happen.

Bank on it.... This will not last the way it is, forever.

Be open minded. This is just a blip in our human history like measles and polio for crying out loud...Be patient...it will not last... Study history.

They just interviewed Sean Spicer on the Martha McCallum show, and he said that the suite at Walter Reed is like Air Force 1. He has been there, and it has office space for White House staff, room for family, etc. Sounds like it will be a good space for both rest and work, if the latter is needed over the next few days. His chief of staff, Mark Meadows, was with the President, so I guess he will pretty much set up shop there.

Think how much we will truly appreciate all the things we are missing right now. One day we will look back......So much we as humans take for granted. Life is fragile.
