Yes, there is something happening that makes them strongly advise taking the 'precautionary measure' of being close to an intubator.

His natural resistances are likely to be low, having been pushing himself hard for at least several weeks now .. perhaps being overtired and running on adrenalin.

And in the 'thumbs up' pic he is looking decidely overweight, which might have elevated his blood pressure.

There would have been a good deal of stress in his life for quite a while now, also. Which is often associated with a lower natural resistance to illness.

IMO

According to my CT training, 50% of people develop their symptoms in up to 5 days from the time of exposure.

Considering the fact that he has “moderate” disease at this time, there is alway the chance that his condition could suddenly and rapidly deteriorate. If that were to happen, then he is in an environment where he can immediately be tended to. I wonder what the chest X-ray will show, if it will show the telltale cloudiness in the imagery, and to what extent. There is no way to tell at this point which way this could go, imo, as far as the severity of disease he may experience. This could be the worst of it, or just the beginning. There is also the aspect of potential longhauler’s syndrome, as we know.

He's probably a bit shocked, too. Whatever procedures have been in place to protect him all these months, have clearly been breached lately.

It's a dilemma, for sure. I've been invited to a birthday party (in a pub) on 19th Dec which I'd love to go to, but I'm thinking that would be the worst timing to then go and visit our parents for Christmas. Hopefully things will be looking rosier by then.

He and his inner circle don’t wear masks. None of his family were at the debate despite being asked to. White House staffers are told not to. I see him mask-less consistently while interacting with the public. And he mocked Biden for wearing mask.

So CDC protocols are NOT being followed by the administration at all. That seems seriously neglectful.

President Trump
First Lady Melania Trump
Senior presidential adviser Hope Hicks
Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel
Senator Mike Lee
Notre Dame president John Jenkins
Two unnamed journalists and one White House staffer

Who in President Trump’s Orbit Has Tested Positive for COVID-19?

Neither Lee nor Jenkins were wearing masks during a White House Rose Garden ceremony introducing Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Amy Coney Barrett.

During Tuesday night’s debate, members of Trump’s team — including the first lady — flouted Ohio ordinances and did not wear masks despite requests from the Cleveland Clinic, where the event was hosted.

Trump arrived for debate too late to be tested for COVID, Wallace says

Their point is that Biden's "I hope this serves as a reminder" comment was a snide dig at the POTUS.
whaaaa. It SHOULD serve as a reminder. I am still trying to figure out the point??

With President Trumps physical condition, age/overweight male, he could end up on a ventilator very soon. That will keep him away from campaigning until the election is over. He may have to be replaced by Vice President Pence.

I pray that he survives. JMO

Well he is wearing a mask now in this photo of him being transported to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center because he himself is diagnosed with Covid which could kill him.

Guess it's different when it is your own life.

Oh oh:
CDC identifies new Covid-19 syndrome in adults similar to MIS-C in kids - CNN

“They're calling it multisystem inflammatory syndrome in adults, or MIS-A, and say it's similar to multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children or MIS-C. Like MIS-C, MIS-A is not obviously linked to coronavirus and sufferers may not show any other symptoms that would point to Covid-19 infection.
But MIS-A has killed at least three patients and, similar to Covid-19, disproportionately hits racial and ethnic minorities, the CDC team said.“

What's the difference between a "mild" case and a "moderate" case?

White House says Trump has ‘mild symptoms.’ What do mild, moderate and severe mean for COVID-19? | WITF

[A] "mild" infection starts normally with a fever, although it may take a couple of days to get a fever. You will have some respiratory symptoms; you have some aches and pains. You’ll have a dry cough. This is what the majority of individuals will have.”

Symptoms of being "moderately ill" with COVID-19 include coughing, fever above 100.4, chills and a feeling that you don’t want to or can’t get out of bed, says Adalja.

With shortness, of breath, that “is a wide spectrum and whether we consider treatment will be based on how short of breath they are, their age and other health conditions,” says Galea.”

Yes, we have heard both today.... we really do deserve the truth as we tread forward.

Boris is 19 years younger than Trump and he almost died from Covid. I think his "best wish's" may not be enough. JMO

You're welcome, I do love a timeline!

It does seem like many of those who end up in hospital manage at home for a few days before being admitted. The people I know who've had it (at home) said they felt worse a few days into Covid, which seems to be fairly typical.
I’m wondering if his disease will remain moderate, or if it will evolve into more severe disease. This is only the initial phase.

Eta: As POTUS, he will have the best of medical care and access to the best therapeutics, etc., so this could make a difference in the severity of his disease.

When when when will feel like we are Americans together again. Our foreign enemies are just so thrilled at the destruction of our democracy, our citizens against each other, over this virus.

If you personally had the command of what would help ALL OF US TOGETHER what would you command to be done.... What would you do to help America, as we stand out in the world the way we do?

Severe: ventilator, death.
Mild: range of symptoms. Cough, fever, sore throat, runny nose, loss of taste and smell, headache, flu type aches, some people have reported diarrhea, nausea, chills. Problems breathing, wheezing, can't catch your breath.

The oddest one I have heard from many people, is that they feel like their sinuses feel "hot".

Trump taken to Walter Reed hospital for tests following COVID-19 diagnosis

THIS DID NOT HAVE TO HAPPEN:

On Friday, others who had been in close contact with the president in recent days — including Sen. Mike Lee of Utah and University of Notre Dame president John Jenkins — announced that they had also tested positive for COVID-19. Three journalists who cover the White House also tested positive on Friday.

Vice President Mike Pence, who earlier in the day tested negative, remains at the Naval Observatory, a senior administration official told NBC News.
