Our Year 12 students got their final exam results today.
Despite the pandemic, lockdowns, school closures, online learning, the same proportion of them passed as last year ...... they did really well.
Meanwhile, a worldwide pandemic didn't stop more than 15,000 students from completing their South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) in 2020.
A total of 15,119 students completed their SACE, the same proportion of students as 2019.
Of this, 1271 merit certificates were awarded to 1018 students across the state.
Education Minister John Gardner congratulated the Class of 2020 on their achievements.
"I am delighted for each of the 15,119 students who have achieved their SACE in 2020," Minister Gardner said.
"Despite all of the challenges that they have faced through the COVID-19 pandemic, students have focused on their learning and their determination and hard work has truly paid off," he said.
Tom's efforts result in 99.15 score
"With the support of the SACE Board, schools and educators have been able to support their students and I commend our educators on doing such an amazing job through a challenging year."
"We have worked together and held the line on the rigour of learning in the SACE and I am so proud that the SACE of 2020 will stand up against any other year, past or future."
