Good article about: Do you trust all those unmasked people will have been vaccinated?
I don't think so!!!

“We have all longed for this moment,” CDC Director Rochelle P. Walensky, exulted at a White House news conference. “If you are fully vaccinated, you can start doing the things that you had stopped doing because of the pandemic.”

Hahaha but no.

Friends and family (myself included) who have been vaccinated still stick to social distancing and the rules. Life has become a little more relaxed, but the pandemic isn't over. Besides, what many people seem to forget is that none of vaccines does protect 100%. You still can get COVID only the symptoms will be less.

Right: and even when its mild it can still make you feel sick and it still causes loss of taste and smell-- no thanks-

CDC investigating heart problems in teenagers and young adults after Moderna or Pfizer vaccine | Daily Mail Online

Investigation into the vaccines possibly causing myocarditis in some young adults. The CDC is investigating ----

Bottom line..from link of "Headline by Daily Mail".....

"The CDC say that so far, the numbers of those reporting myocarditis is no greater than would normally be seen in young people.

The agency's vaccine safety group decided to communicate the information to vaccine providers out of an abundance of caution. "

Hey! I've skipped to the last page - is this where I can find out if anyone else has the side effects that I am feeling?

I got my 2nd Moderna shot on 5/18. The first one was easy - no side effects, no sore arm. But on the 2nd one - later that day I did have a sore arm - iced it. Felt a bit of a chill & not feeling that great. Next day - arm still sore, so iced it during the day. Chills were gone & started to feel better. BUT! I have now noticed that when I lay down in bed - there is a VERY loud "thumping" sound in my ears. It is my heart beat. And it feels like my head is vibrating with each "thump". I had to go to my surgeon doctor to have him pull out some stitches from my carotid artery surgery at the end of March. I told him about this "thumping" noise & he thinks it is a side effect from the shot I got last week.

Anyone else have this symptom?

I have that thumping in my ears sometimes! It's exactly as you describe. Drives me NUTS as I am trying to go to sleep. I've never worried about it as it passes. Hmmm, I don't recall if I also had after my shots, though it has happened in the last month. I've had such happen as long as I can remember. I have no medical conditions at all that I'm aware of. I just chalked it up to sometimes pains elsewhere, or like sometimes my entire body "jolting/spasm" when going to sleep. Both, Very very infrequent....but neither have ever concerned me.

I do recall it happening before my shots - but like you said - it would pass. But after my first shot - I noticed that it became more frequent - and after the 2nd one - it is really "loud" now! If you know what I mean. And yea - drives me nuts too - so I've been starting to read longer until I am dowsing off - and then I can sleep. The other night wasn't until 2am!!
And thanks for posting this - I'm NOT alone! :)

Little bit of sleuthing due to your post... it's called Pulsatile Tinnitus.. and many sites I found it were on AGING websites lol. :p:rolleyes: Okie Dokey then, I qualify! A little more googling made me ok with it if transient. If consistent, I would make appt. with doc. Next annual, I may ask about though. MOO. I think perhaps as we age.... schitts creek happens... MOO, I am one that prefers to live with stuff and just be okay with. e.g. I read the information as to side effects of cholesterol lowering drugs... and I was NO! I have no history in family of heart disease on either side... but the side effects of the medication were WHOA!!! (to analogize to COVID vaccine... which I did do and said YES!)

Those ads on tv for minimal problem/conditions and their drugs to help with... and then 2 minutes of potential side effects.......... not for me!

ETA: If concerns YOU, call YOUR doc ASAP! Do you have telemedicine appts. that are now free through many insurance providers here in the US? IANAD!

I've had that thumping tinnitus off and on for years, mostly in bed. I've solved the problem with earbuds and Audible.com (audiobooks) and many, many podcasts. I have noticed that the more I think about/anticipate tinnitus, the worse it gets, lol! Imo

Thanks for doing that search. I'm not in the U.S. - but I have good insurance over here since I have dual citizenship - U.S. & Latvian.
And yea - I am "old" too! LOL! I'll go look that up.
Thanks again! :)

@drama_farmer - I really hate ear buds... but thanks for that info.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates ear buds.

I had that thumping sound a couple of years ago. It did go away. No idea what caused it. The other time I had it, it was so loud it woke me up.
It went away as well. Not before it freaked me out though.

I do have tinnitus but it's never bothered me. Mine started when I put my head under the bath water. Not sure if it was the hot water or what.
I think now I would feel weird if the tinnitus went away lol. I am glad the thumping went though.

I started researching this. A couple of items I found.

Can tight neck muscles cause pulsatile tinnitus?
On physical examination, the carotid arteries can be compressed and, likewise, their compression might be accounting for some of the changes in pulsatile tinnitus that occurred with strong muscle contraction of the neck and compression of neck muscles.

So these carotid arteries are in the back of the neck, correct? I had surgery on my left & right ones - so they aren't the problem. I even told this to the doctor who did my surgery on Friday when I went to see him to take the stitches out from my last surgery. He did not even mention it could be the carotid arteries in the back of my neck. I do get a massage (theraputic! :) ) - and she does my neck. Maybe she did something to it last time.... hmmm....

What is the latest treatment for tinnitus?
According to a new study, published today in Science Translational Medicine, a noninvasive device that applies a technique known as bimodal neuromodulation, combining sounds with zaps to the tongue, may be an effective way to provide relief to tinnitus patients.

Zaps to the tongue!?!!? :o I'll pass on THIS treatment!

I have just had my moderna first jab today. Got a feeling similar to when you get off an airplane after a long flight, otherwise nothing.

I have my set in stone ideas about how this got out and spread, and I think history will confirm November 17th 2019 will be key despite the cover ups and revisionism, but I trust science.

Great news! I hope the side effects aren't too bad.

Thanks @anneg, but I woke up early this morning (3:30 a.m.) shaking violently from chills. When I got out of bed, they almost made me lose my balance! My temperature was 100.7. I sat up wrapped in two bathrobes and a blanket until the chills passed and I went back to bed. When I eventually got up in the late morning my temp was still the same. I slept all afternoon and now it’s normal and I feel OK enough, but still very tired with a slight headache. The first shot made me feel achy and feverish with a headache, but no chills. I’m not complaining though. It’s a small price to pay for a degree of protection. :)
