Sore arm this morning, other than that, still okay.
Is everyone celebrating with heading to Krispy Kreme donuts to get your free donut? I get my second shot on Tuesday, and on my way home, will be getting mine as I've already scoped out the location near where I will get my shot!
Free Krispy Kreme vaccine doughnuts are really happening. How to get one every single day
Thanks! I was aware of the side effect but had also read of some getting antibiotics for cellulitis.
My turn to chime in
I've been back to work full time since June, 2020, working with the public at a very popular tourist location in Central Kentucky. I've lived within a "triangle" of sorts, driving from home to work to Kroger. And that's about it.
I am amazed that I didn't get COVID from visitors to my workplace, who had no problem traveling from many states away to enjoy what we offer. I have to admit that I was cursing some of them.... Silently, lol
A large building on our property became a mass vaccination site in February, so I've been watching thousands of cars coming and going each day, waiting for my turn.
I received my second dose of the Pfizer vax on April 1. Same arm as last time, and I rubbed the injection site as well. After dose 1, I think I may have had a very slight ache in my neck, but it was probably just my imagination
After 2nd dose, pretty much ZERO side effects. Injection site is tender if I poke it, so I don't poke it, lol
I'm over 50 and blood type O+
2nd dose of Pfizer yesterday. I’m so relieved!
I'm finally eligible and when I signed up this weekend for my appointment, certain locations noted the name of the vaccine while others did not. I selected a location offering J&J -- sure hope I get the one and done!Has anyone here, or do you know of anyone who was given a choice of what vaccine they wanted? I'm just curious about whether or not a particular facility offers more than one vaccination option.

Yes - I'm also getting J&J at RiteAid. My doctor advised that I could safely resume my work travel (after a year delay) two weeks after the vaccine. I'm not personally ready for air travel so local travel is fine by me!My daughter’s boyfriend is getting the J&J vaccine on Friday. Rite Aid has a link and lists the different vaccines available at each store. He specifically wanted J&J “one and done” so he can continue to travel without quarantining (that’s their job) so he stalked the Twitter bot for openings and was able to get the appointment.
Same. I helped my daughter search this past weekend and we found a several RiteAids in Manhattan that had a bunch of appointments right away. I went for an outdoor walk with a friend this weekend - both masked and first-dosed vaxed. It was the first social outing I've had outside my bubble in over a year and I was absolutely GIDDY for hours and hours afterwards. My husband and I met my sister on the boardwalk yesterday afternoon and stopped at a bar/restaurant. We had our shots and she had her first.
We were thrilled, first time in over a year we were able to relax, eat, drink, and listen to live music.
Be prepared for a big change if and when you do travel by air again.Yes - I'm also getting J&J at RiteAid. My doctor advised that I could safely resume my work travel (after a year delay) two weeks after the vaccine. I'm not personally ready for air travel so local travel is fine by me!![]()
