FBI Evidence Team has just arrived at landfill in a big way and are setting up camp.
Oh gee. That changes things.
Are we back to Annie having disappeared into thin air?
It makes me wonder what compels LE to chase incinerated garbage to Hartford? What has LE discovered that might make them think that's the way to go?
The missing NYC cleaning woman back in July did not get much national attention still LE searched the landfill (in PA!) within 4 days..Why in this case did it take longer?
As it turned out she was not found there but back at the 26 story bldg in an air duct..Maybe the same scenario plays out here, maybe not, but the 2 cases are eerily similar.
The perp? (elevator operator) was questioned early on cos he left his shift early..I am not sure where it stands now but when taken in he cried & asked for an atty..I have a feeling it will be someone like this in her workplace vs a Prof or fellow student..I think LE may have the same mindset & I am confident they are checking out these employees..It is very possible the man (not in blue shirt!) seen taken away in the police car is one of them.
Did anyone find out who the guy in the blue shirt getting into the cop car was?

Puffster, are you getting this from TV or can you link the article? thx.
It was the state's attorney -- but erroneously reported as a person of interest earlier. Are you talking about the older guy with grey/white hair? Kind of looked like Joseph Schlessinger to me.
did the anton bennett reporting annie missing/canceling the class timeline get resolved? No suspicions there?
I had referenced this story a while back:

Since the news about the clothing surfaced yesterday, I've been thinking it belonged to the perp with possibly Annie's blood on them. Maybe an outer shirt or lab coat that he was wearing and the blood might be spatter or castoff? I also think it's wise of LE to search the incinerators since she wasn't seen leaving the building and (presumably) her body would've been removed somehow. MOO only!Oh gee. That changes things.

This is my own reporting (so if it's wrong...you know who to blame)
I have people with eyes on in Hartford -- saying that the FBI evidence team has driven vehicles onto the property and have begun unloading a lot of equipment.
This is what I'm thinking too. If Annie was last seen entering the building, then the perp should also have been on camera. If there are key cards to swipe for various doors inside the building, then who used one either before or after Annie? And, was anyone seen leaving in different clothing than they wore into the building? MOOI have an article from the Yale Daily News that says the Yale Police Department declared her missing on Wednesday. It doesn't say when they were originally called.
I've been reading all these linked articles and it seems her office and lab were in Sterling and 10 Amistad is where "she sometimes went to conduct experiments"
I wish I could find out where the animal rooms are at Yale. I am wondering about the basement of Amistad where the bloody clothes were found.
Here's the thing- if I disappeared from work, they could find my last swipe in, pull the security tapes and see just what was going on in the animal facility at the time I disappeared. They would certainly see if someone followed me into a room. I wonder if it is the same at Yale, and if it is, are they much further along in the investigation than is being reported?
A large FBI Evidence Response Team truck and agents arrived at the Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority facility near Brainard Airport Sunday afternoon.
FBI sources confirmed to News Channel 8 the activity is related to Le, who disappeared from a Yale laboratory in New Haven this past Tuesday.
FBI agent Bill Reiner told the Associated Press officials are "following the trash" that left the laboratory at 10 Amistad St. He declined to comment further, the AP reported.
A News Channel 8 photographer on the scene reports that a piece of equipment is extracting trash, and people are using rakes to separate the pieces. State police dogs are also sniffing the sorted trash.
uh oh. talk about a lab culture.
interesting fodder. please do read entire wiki article. this is only one small part of an giant career in science, research, patents and pharmaceurtical corporate warfare.

Joseph Schlessinger was born March 26, 1945, in the village of Topusko, now in Croatia, when it was occupied by Nazi Germany. The family moved to Israel in 1948. [20]. Schlesinger served his compulsory military service with the Golani infantry brigade and was commissioned an officer. As part of his reserve duty he participated in the Six Day War and the Yom Kippur War.
Schlessinger is married to Irit Lax, an Associate Professor in the Pharmacology Department at Yale. She was previously an Assistant Professor in the Pharmacology Department at NYU Medical Center. The focus of her research is on the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) receptor. Lax has been working together with Joseph Schlessinger since she was a graduate student in Israel in the early 1980s. They each have two children from a previous marriage.[20] In 2006, a sexual harassment lawsuit was initiated against Yale University by Joseph Schlessinger's former secretary, Mary Beth Garceau. Garceau alleged numerous episodes of harassment by Joseph Schlessinger during her employment at Yale, [21],[22],[23],[24]. and claimed that Yale University failed to act upon her frequent complaints, thus causing Garceau to resign. The case was settled out of court in mid-2007, and the terms of the settlement were not publicly disclosed.
