If Annie was in the cold and decomp slowed down then evidence will be well preserved and she can tell her story in court against this monster!

I was wondering if the fire alarm was set on purpose b/c maybe the space where the perp could drop her body from the ceiling down in the wall was over an occupied room? Maybe a classroom, lab, or office space. The fire alarm would empty out the area and give the perp access without being noticed.

Here's a possible scenario: crime is committed, perp hides her body, turns on the autoclave, then drags her body into a part of the ceiling in an area where no on is - and sits still and waits for the fire alarm. When the fire alarm goes off and everyone leaves, s/he then dumps her over the wall, sheds their bloody clothing, and exits the ceiling without being noticed.

Poor Annie.

In the Forensic Astrology forum, Tuba wrote on 9/11:

If the incident occurred at all and was later but before 1:00 p.m., she is at ground level in a dark place and may be contained.

:clap::clap::clap:

I read that on 9/11!

Tuba is amazing!

The walling in of someone sounds like an old Edgar Allan Poe story (Cask of Amontillado??) -- it was where an acquantance was buried in a wall for revenge. Maybe the perp is a Poe fan or got his/her idea from that story?

I wonder if she was being asked to do something related to her work that she refused (falsify something)? VN people, especially if they came to the US in 1975 can be very principaled, as they came to the US for freedom and the rule of law. Her personality may be principaled, ergo the story on how to keep safe. She was not the type to keep silent when times called for speaking out it appears.

Sounds plausible to me

I've had hinky feelings about the alarm from the get go

There is also the possibility the perp was in there all night.

kinda stinks (LE wise anyhow) that even after finding the bloody clothes in the ceiling and declaring that certain area a crime scene they let students in and out of 10 Amistad all day long! (link somewhere in the last thread).. Hopefully they are still pulling tapes from after her missing report to see if anyone made frequent trips back to the lab building to check their tracks....

so now will we see some candles sprouting up around the Yale campus???

I keep thinking about the metal panels I saw in the photo with two large screws securing it. She wouldn't necessarily have to be dropped behind the wall at all from the ceiling.

There are also areas of the wall which are designed for accessibility to the plumbing etc. They are easily removed and a person who worked maintenance would know exactly where to find them.

If killer is still loose.........I would imagine how afraid everyone is at YALE and parents!
Please pray the LE catches this creep asap!!!

Perp would also have to know where he was on camera. So knowledge of the camera layout.

I hope there is some way they can check the video for somebody who didn't exit the building during the fire alarm but did so later on. MOO

I agree SS. Given what Nurse outlined above, I think we are probably looking at a crime commited by someone that worked in that bldg, not neccesarily a fellow student. She was found in the basement, behind a wall correct?

Authorities continue search for missing woman who would have been married Sunday

"We did locate the remains of a human. ... We are assuming that it is her at this time," New Haven assistant police chief Peter Reichard told reporters in a brief press conference. Police are treating the case as a homicide, Reichard said.

Le was to be married today.

Reichard said the body was found in the wall of the Yale Amistad Street research laboratory where Le was last seen Tuesday. On video surveillance, Le was seen entering the lab, but not leaving.

The find could end a massive search by state and federal authorities that expanded today to a Connecticut waste-processeing facility in addition to the Yale lab in the hopes of finding clues to her mysterious disappearance.

Using cadaver-sniffing dogs in round-the-clock shifts, FBI agents and state troopers dressed in hazardous-material suits have been searching the facility in Hartford since late last night."

I, too, am wondering if maintenance workers had access to the building with or w/o security. What about persons who collected trash?
