State is painting a very nuanced theory that is more specific to MT than might be evident. Yes they have to prove a murder. And no they don’t have to prove motive. But I see this weird plot line developing about MT’s narcissistic mindset. The theory that MT wasn’t really involved “but should have known” and implicated herself after the fact is one way to hold her responsible on some level. But with her fixation on sex before and after the murder 1) making up or fantasizing sex in shower right before sending FD off to murder 2) tempting sex during the murder via emoji and 3) making up sexy time cleaning the Tacoma - I think in her head SHE thinks he is killing for HER. And in her narcissistic head - she finds that sadly arousing. It emboldened her, she encouraged FD, and was all-in on the plan for her own self-aggrandizing motive that is distinct from FD’s motive (just to get out of the divorce/custody). Look how fast he moved on from her.

Curious theory to say the least, where do you see State going with such a theory which is subtle to say the least....are you suggesting some kind of folie a deux or folie impose or some other similar events? I'd just been seeing her references to 'sex' etc. as means to simply distract conversation with LE from where it was at the time the reference or the 'sex' references could be part of their jointly composed alibi script too.

Frankly MT seemed delusional on many fronts for long periods of time in her life and quite certainly in her relationship with FD and FD quite possibly was delusional around the time of the murder, possibly manic and certainly consumed with rage and anger towards JF.

Narcs can be tricky and so far as it seems these two narcs certainly fed off of each other in various ways....

We have been waiting for FD emails and texts to see when he started 'grooming' Anna Curry....

Anna Curry moved into 4JX shortly after MD moved out iirc (less than a month iirc but no info on when FD made contact with her again)....

I’m not sure the death declaration can come in. It’s usually for a civil purpose - insurance, probate, trust administration. And I can’t imagine it’s evidentiary value is more probative than the Vineyard Vines shirt. Sadly something you can never un-see.
