Can’t wait for the ME!
Its going to be grim and graphic imo.

Might have to take a personal time out for that testimony and come back to it.

JS already objecting to the bike-riding video.

Yes, wonderful film. Lumet and Newman were a wonderful combo too! MOO
Yes, I think that film was deserving of the Oscar that year. And let’s not forget Charlotte Rampling, Jack Warden, James Mason, and Lindsay Crouse. Should have mentioned them too. MOO

L&C on fire again in the commentary digesting what we have just witnessed.

It’s almost noon and this poor jury is still waiting to get into the courtroom!

I thought that was out due to prior stipulation of the parties? Or is he horse trading again?

Bike was in back of Tacoma I think State set foundation for this along with the found french bike badge.

State argues that there is ample evidence of FD's movements that morning, relative to the Tacoma. State represents the timing of the bike ride and the route make it relevant. State furthers offers the photograph showing a bike in the Tacoma and the Toir de France imprint on tape as corroborative, plus the bike existing and then missing. Admissible. Jury can weigh it.

Ooh, MT saw a bike at 80 Mountain Spring

  • #229
JS is showing the 2 second clips. Dark hoodie, not the light blue jacket PG saw in the pail. Now JS is testifying that the biker is all dressed in black.

JS is saying the State didn't ask PG to identify every photo of red trucks as his.

That FD had a bike is complete speculation.

Nothing to do with the case. Goes to nothing.

Prejudicial too.

He objects.

Judge ruling as to weight.

Motion denied.

  • #231
Judge is on it!

Defence seems shaken imo....

Might be time for break so he can get it together.

Sad waste of jury time imo though.

State's Witness, Detective Jamie Pearston, PD

June 5th assigned at 61 Sturbridge Hill, NC

House, construction stage materials, construction dumpster

Physically entered the dumpster, full inventory, 4 hour search

Nothing seized of evidentiary value.

Oh geez….JS bringing up PG…again

  • #237
JS is Cross. [I meant JS on Cross, but JS is very cross!]

JS asks if she investigated the property because PG had been in and around the house?

JS asking if she had investigated if a person had been there?

No, she was there to execute a search warrant for a missing person.

JS asks if she was aware of any neighborhood surveillance? She was not, did not canvas, was not aware if there ever was any surveillance recovered.

And without being blunt, he said the jurors aren't stupid and could see there is a bike in the back of the Tacoma.

State's next witness: CedericCandiotti, works for the car wash, general manager.

State is taking the chips off the table for Defence one by one imo.

Sturbridge was important to Defence and creation of doubt and connection to PG.
