I took a quick drive past Welles Ln. today as there was no traffic on Frogtown so it was possible to go slowly and look at where a car/truck could have hidden in the area. Frogtown is a narrow, curvy, somewhat hilly and dangerous road that really has no shoulder and during the week people generally drive quickly so taking pictures isn't easy. But, there are some natural wider portions on the road in a couple of spots but I'm not sure someone would park in these spots for any period of time. Welles Ln. itself has any number of blind spots due to the fact that its a bit hilly (on right side of the street as you head into the Welles from Frogtown) and a bit curvy.
IMO if someone wanted to follow someone doing a dropoff at NCCS the Winter Club would be hard to beat as the parking lot faces Frogtown and is located diagonally across the street from one of the NCCS entrances. I took pictures of this area and will post them over the next couple of days.
But, what I found interesting was that there is a lot for sale on Frogtown that is at the corner of Welles. The lot is deep so it has a full view of any cars turning down Welles if you pull your car all the way into the lot. There is no gate on the property and no security visible.
Here is a picture taken from Frogtown entrance to the property but if you drive back on the lot then Welles Ln is visible. My guess is that most people seeing a car or truck on this vacant lot wouldn't think twice about it as there is a real estate sign advertising the property on the roadside.

Someone also asked about the property on Weed Street as a possible location for waiting to access Welles LN. This property has been under construction for quite a while but now has 2 gates up with very elaborate camera system. I don't recall when the gates went up but it has to have been over the past 2 months when the landscaping was completed. There are 2 entrances to the property and both have gates, motion sensors and very elaborate camera setup IMO. The front of the propery has been wired with high metal fence (not sure if its to deter deer or people but there were motion sensors down the entire length as you drove by the front of the house. Here is a picture of side gate and security cameras (front gate is identical). The 3 cameras are on a white pole directly behind the middle of the gate located about 10' from the gate. After seeing the house and the dense wooded area in the rear of the house I'm not sure it would make a great candidate for hiding given that Irwin Park is right down the street and offers easy access to Weed Street/Wahackme.
