There's also no way FD would have expected to find residential garbage cans empty enough to hold bags that size.

In order to check garbage cans for open space FD must have been sticking his arm and head out the truck window so was he driving on the wrong side of the road?

Was he pulling bags through the window or actually getting out of his truck at each stop?

He must have stepped out at some time since LE describes his shirt and hat. Oh, yes, he had to get out to put the tags in the hole.

Can't wait to see the actual video! I bet FD can't either so he can figure out more ways to explain it away. ("Oh, that's my cousin, Vinny! Vinny, what are you up to?")
One report said the bed of his truck was loaded up with bags. Is this true? Who knows? And would he be foolish enough to use clear plastic bags or 13 gallon white bags ?
That makes no sense to me. I think he used contractor bags and filled them half way. JMO.

I have a question I hope someone can answer about Dr. Herman (the custody evaluator if I understand correctly) and his refusing to complete his testimony during a hearing. How does that work? I didn’t realize it was optional. This was mentioned in the “Not Charles Manson” article.
This is a great question for @gitana1! The article made it sound like the Dr. walked out of the court while he was on the stand. It sounded like because the testimony and report from the Dr. were incomplete that the information couldn't be used in family court. Then we saw the issue with the report allegedly being given by GAL Meehan to FD atty (former) and then allegedly stolen by FD from his former atty.

I wasn't there. By the way it's written it seems to me that the evaluator was annoyed with the questioning by JFD's attorney. Did not appreciate being challenged.

That's unusual.

Also, if the report was favorable to FD he would have been screaming for restoration of his rights pending the resumption of cross or a further eval., instead of murdering his wife.
It seems like there was at least something in the report leaning in FDs direction, because on 5/2/19, the day after JD filed to replace the GAL, FD filed for emergency custody (it was denied). So he was screaming from the treetops about it.

To give JD credit, she had a tough lawyer and she had the means to pour money into the case, which as we see ultimately broke FD, which he fully deserved after all the years of mistreating her and holding her and the kids hostage in his narcissistic underworld.

Unfortunately though it broke him in a way that ended tragically for her and her family. It appears that only a full-time armed bodyguard could have saved her from his narcissistic rage.

My friend’s mom used Reuben Midler in her divorce and it became a textbook case. Everyone involved probably gasped when JD disappeared and blood was found in the garage, and we will all likely gasp some more when the details come out. With a divorce docket like this the motive is crystal clear.

In today's Courant article the bags dropped in Hartford are referred to as "contractor bags".

Haven't they just been reported as garbage bags in the past?
Yes. Never seen contractor bags before. Wonder the source of this info?

I get that, Gitana. I'm not blaming the system for her death. He's the only one to blame. But I do find credence in Fitzy's view of the system in CT.

No system can be perfect. But this case isn't dispositive of the system as a whole.

As I was told by my first boss, when I agonized over a case, "You didn't pick em'. They did."

People pick narcissists to mate with. To have kids with. They entangle their lives and finances and credit with these folks. And then become enraged when the legal system can't untangle it for them.

When people ask me how much litigation is going to cost I tell them it depends on how reasonable the parties are and whether one is a nut or not.

Lawyers and judges aren't magicians. We work with what we have. It took years for people who have decided to get a divorce, to screw up and horribly complicate their lives and then they want us to fix that in months. We can't.

Okay fine! :D:D:D

I took a quick drive past Welles Ln. today as there was no traffic on Frogtown so it was possible to go slowly and look at where a car/truck could have hidden in the area. Frogtown is a narrow, curvy, somewhat hilly and dangerous road that really has no shoulder and during the week people generally drive quickly so taking pictures isn't easy. But, there are some natural wider portions on the road in a couple of spots but I'm not sure someone would park in these spots for any period of time. Welles Ln. itself has any number of blind spots due to the fact that its a bit hilly (on right side of the street as you head into the Welles from Frogtown) and a bit curvy.

IMO if someone wanted to follow someone doing a dropoff at NCCS the Winter Club would be hard to beat as the parking lot faces Frogtown and is located diagonally across the street from one of the NCCS entrances. I took pictures of this area and will post them over the next couple of days.

But, what I found interesting was that there is a lot for sale on Frogtown that is at the corner of Welles. The lot is deep so it has a full view of any cars turning down Welles if you pull your car all the way into the lot. There is no gate on the property and no security visible.

Here is a picture taken from Frogtown entrance to the property but if you drive back on the lot then Welles Ln is visible. My guess is that most people seeing a car or truck on this vacant lot wouldn't think twice about it as there is a real estate sign advertising the property on the roadside.

Someone also asked about the property on Weed Street as a possible location for waiting to access Welles LN. This property has been under construction for quite a while but now has 2 gates up with very elaborate camera system. I don't recall when the gates went up but it has to have been over the past 2 months when the landscaping was completed. There are 2 entrances to the property and both have gates, motion sensors and very elaborate camera setup IMO. The front of the propery has been wired with high metal fence (not sure if its to deter deer or people but there were motion sensors down the entire length as you drove by the front of the house. Here is a picture of side gate and security cameras (front gate is identical). The 3 cameras are on a white pole directly behind the middle of the gate located about 10' from the gate. After seeing the house and the dense wooded area in the rear of the house I'm not sure it would make a great candidate for hiding given that Irwin Park is right down the street and offers easy access to Weed Street/Wahackme.

Thanks so much for that. Interestingly, Jennifer, who NP claims is so insane, is the one who was hell bent on the custody eval. She filed at least four motions for it. And one for an educational eval.

In the meantime the controlling freak filed a motion for orders regarding "waterskiing".

I reviewed the docket. I saw nothing filed by Jennifer seeking to disqualify the GAL. I saw a motion filed on 12-29-17 by her seeking to modify the order appointing the GAL, which she had sought.

It doesn't say disqualify and it could be any sort of terms of the order.

However, FD filed a motion on 3-19-19 seeking to disqualify. I believe that was as to the GAL. But I can't be sure.

I don't know how I missed that motion! Disregard my last post. She did seek to remove him!

I hesitate to post this because I don't take notes.
However, I think it may have been GF who recently said that.
Don't ask me to look for it because I will never find it.
It's all swirling around in my head. :)

Nope. While those costs for the GAL and evaluator are ridiculous, the system didn't lead to the murder of Jennifer Farber.
I agree that the system didn’t lead to nor cause FD to murder Jennifer.

However, the CT Divorce system should not have allowed for Jennifer’s and so many others’ Divorce proceedings to drag on for so long... allowing those in contempt to get away with it.

And thus causing so much financial and emotional pain and hardships and destruction for those involved, including the children.

It’s been said over and over, and I agree, that the only ones who truly benefit in a CT Divorce are the attorneys, unfortunately.

Is this lot secluded enough to leave a vehicle there undetected?

I thought they used the bags that groceries are bagged in because of the size and because my grocery store uses light beige (not clear or white).

It seems to me that they are the perfectly size for placing in ~ 30 different garbage bins/containers along Albany Ave.

Depends on the angle that is being looked at whether vehicle could be seen IMO. But I think there could be a way to angle the vehicle so it is for the most part hidden from view on Frogtown and not visible if someone drives down Welles. The property is quite overgrown and there is alot of brush at the corners of the property adjacent to to Frogtown and Welles. Frogtown slopes upward slightly just beyond the entrance to the lot so Welles sits higher than the empty lot. When you turn onto Welles from Frogtown both sides of Welles are trees and dense brush but there really isn't any place to hide on Welles that I could see unless you were hiding in the woods between the properties and the right side of Welles is on a hill. I do think it would be doable to hide car in empty lot, take a walk down Welles and depending on the security cameras in place on neighboring houses to hide after the first house on the right on the steep slope that is covered with trees and brush.

I think a car left on any of the lanes (Frogtown, Hanford or Llewellyn) could have a truck left there without causing any concern as well (in my opinion). No site line to Welles but could park and hover in the empty lot or he’s got her monitored, texting with a kid, etc. I think it’s fairly well known in NC that the lot is owned by the same person that owns JD’s house and probably knows FD (both at the Builder Awards year after year) so there might be some risk that he’d show up if FD was there but probably low risk and FD could come up with some excuse if that happened.

Yes, this has been previously reported by Stamford Advocate, NewCanaanite and Hartford Courant. I am not 100% certain but I think this issue might have also been mentioned in the latest motion to terminate the services of the GAL that I don't believe has been heard by the court yet. What is your sense of what Judge Heller will do with these remaining motions (terminate GAL and the Pattis motion)? Does she shelve the motions and put the divorce on hold? Or does she rule on the motions and then put the divorce on hold?

Completely agree with you on all this. Frogtown is normally so crazy and you need to concentrate to drive it that the empty lot never registered until today.

Per the warrant the video showed that "items" were discarded which appeared to be stained with a substance consistent with blood. The warrant did not say that the garbage bags appeared to have blood on them.

"C4 video showed a Caucasian male matching the physical appearance of Dulos emerging from the Ford pickup and placing multiple garbage bags into various trash receptacles. The male who a baseball cap and a light-colored shirt. In some cases, the C4 video showed items being discarded which appeared to be stained with a substance consistent with the appearance of blood."

Thanks, clearskies, it's good to read this again. "Items.....which appeared to be stained" makes me think more of something fabric (clothes, towels?) that would absorb the blood.

Obviously, not everything was in a bag if these were seen on video.

I think we have lots of surprises coming....as does FD!

I am new to this site...but I can’t help but wonder...GF had armed guards relatively quick...JD had filed to argue the new visitation order....I also noticed FD had filed a complaint that JD previously was scheduling things for the kids that interrupted his visitation....any chance her plan to go to NYC was for the entire weekend...and the armed guards were prearranged?....maybe one of the kids tipped him off by text that they weren’t coming?....I do think the forensic audit definitely played a factor in this but he also had many complaints about not getting to see his kids
