I think there was a tv interview done with a young lady neighbor of the Sturbridge property. Was that the same type of neighborhood as Welles?
Yes, same neighborhood. The press has been everywhere in NC trying to get comments and nobody is talking. That interview was of a young person that looked to be out for a jog and answered in an honest way I thought. But you aren't going to get older adults to be so candid on TV in a case that is getting nationwide attention.

EDIT: Hilarious that we have 2 identical comments from locals posting one after the other. We must have both been writing the same thing at the same time. Well at least our stories match up!

Sadly without a tip or CCTV or cell phone data you are probably correct. But we have seen amazing things happen with trained LE using technology so we cannot give up hope. Its early days yet in this investigation IMO.

And, you know, sometimes, there’s happenstance.

Interesting that the reporter referred to JD as FD’s “ex-wife”

Rochlin says he can’t really speak to the criminal matter bc he’s entered an appearance in the divorce case.

Later says he and NP in super frequent communication and coordination (talking and texting etc) and taking a kind of holistic approach to the various actions (debt case not really mentioned, not any sanctions/contempt issues motions against FD in any of the actions).

Rochlin claims the legal team of Pattis & Rochlin et al don’t really know any more about any of this than the public knows and what’s in the arrest warrant. (? with a straight face even)

Later, RR mentions how lonely FD is. Reminds me of that scene in the movie Fargo where Margie gets lured off to meet an old high school class mate for lunch and the classmate gives her the sob story about how the classmate’s wife died and he’s so lonely. Spoiler alert: pants on fire.

So RR says in essence that I’m a lonely boy song — FD ain’t got no wife, he ain’t got no girlfriend, he misss his children and is concerned about him, has some lovely properties coming on the market and a couple already listed if you care to check a look.

Omg gerranimals.

One interesting tidbit: defense team trying to get the divorce court to unseal the custody psych eval on JD because FD needs that and they want to use the report for his criminal defense.

imo FD is really out for torment. RR is calm-talking, less-offensive offensive, defensive lineman.

FD can’t stand how much attention JD is getting and how the people are giving him the stink eye and adore her. He had to fly over supporters who hopefully don’t speak English so this won’t get lost in translation when he translates it for them — their adoration and support. (No one mentioned he’s a good cook this time. Maybe no need since it’s just the guys. They order in. Or not.)

So, blue man gone. Next theory up is “snapped” — FD team is going to say JD lured him to the NC rental and attacked him in the garage. He had to defend himself. She had a poison ivy branch. It was horrible. He is so lonely.

Criminal trial for murder is unstated but assumed.

Somehow I doubt all those work locations are true. Some, maybe. All? Meh.
She’s a doctor’s daughter. From Tennessee. How did she get into and then move in those circles? Psychology degree from where?
Blown up resume for Fore Group promotions. Common enough these days.

It’s only anecdotal experience so MOO but I see many jobs in those areas come through the headhunter/job boards for presumably good pay. MOO, not everyone wishes to work so far from the US or his or her native country. I’ve known people who have done so and made a great deal of money. The people I’ve known who did (meaning I don’t know about the vast majority) were less averse to taking risks than others might be and most did it for a limited time. So who knows with her but maybe she did work there. Or not!

Yes , With the technology this day in age one would find it incredibly difficult to pull off a murder , stash the body and evidence and get away with it .. And talk “disappearing “ would be equally if not more difficult . Something has got to give ..
Disclaimer: I don’t for a second think she disappeared on her own.

Billy Bob would not be living in these areas of CT.

We are not going to get just any Tom, Dick, or Harry getting their 30 seconds of fame in an impromptu interview, in these areas of CT.

Everyone in these areas would definitely be helping LE in anyway they can, but they are not going to walk up and start talking to the Media.

In addition, anyone who has provided information or videos to LE will have been instructed about keeping a low profile and refrain from speaking about the said info or videos.

One of JD's local friends spoke about her in the HLN/CNN interview. The friend was great and I thought she really brought more humanity to the case.

Then, there is JD's friend from college that has been chosen as the family spokesperson and the family has only submitted a few statements through her.

This is about all we are going to get from friends or neighbors.

While I understand Billy Bob is not likely to live in Elitesville, which I truly think that most of America pictures the NE as Camelot-Esque . Multi million dollar estates , lake houses , private schools , nannies , trust funds, ties to 5th avenue . This case does much to bolster that opinion . Which isn’t necessarily a bad one. However , I think the community truly disliked FD saw him as a gold digging playboy and I don’t disagree at all with the perception actually I agree with it . My question and you locals pretty much answered what I suspected , that this type of big nationalized case is definitely NOT what these residents want far from it . I personally would never talk to media about a neighbor and I live in tract home central with zero lot line . We know a lot about each other ... but I’ll never tell. ;) Unless I think you’re a murderer then I’ll sing like a canary ... to the authorities

Concerning that psych evaluation - is there a possibility that FD was able to have it altered and have someone swap it ? Also, how can the court be allowed to use something that was circulating around and not locked up in the court house?
I had the Blue Man image stuck in my brain and now I have the poison ivy switch.

The time that MT spent in the Middle East bothers me. All of the countries mentioned have laws and culture that seriously demean women. Western women who accept positions in these countries are taking a risk, IMO, as by and large there is little respect for females. MT had a child with an former Olympic/professional skier. She was in a relationship with a married man and she was aware of his status. IMOO she was making some really unfortunate and dangerous decisions for herself and her daughter. I certainly don't "know" her, but the information we have definitely makes me question "why" she has made the career and personal choices she has made. What is her personal need to put herself in relationships with men that are athletic, rich, and appear to be chauvinistic?

Ok. Let’s get real.
Keys found means clothing. Clothing likely for JD bc not a robbery. Or sex crime. IMO.
Ok. So you sleuthers, especially the poster with all the nautical info, which was GREAT, by the way, could her body have been tossed out into ocean and currents brought her into this area?
Well. If it’s JD, let’s keep the ball rolling....
If not, we need to keep searching. And prayers to the Coney Island victim and family.
[BBM]: Why would keys being found with remains of a person 'mean clothing'?
LE and as reported to MSM indicated 'bloody clothing' and 'cleanup materials' that were disposed on Albany Ave tested positive for JD's blood.
There's no info from LE about JD going missing regarding what she was wearing, or her clothing, except for that one reference.
Here's a link to MSM article about 'clothing' found in 'trash barrels' along Albany Avenue in Hartford:
"Bloody clothing found dumped in Hartford trash bins in search for missing mom"
" ...Investigators later determined the items in the bags, including clothing and a sponge, tested positive for the blood of Jennifer Dulos, who vanished May 24..."

Since NP has petitioned the court to halt the divorce proceedings, and the report was never entered into the record, I would think it's a stretch to think the court will allow its use if there is a criminal trial. But, I wonder if the evaluator could be called as a witness...hmmm...

Google Maps
Coney Island beach is that long thin beach just south of Brooklyn. See how a body would never wash out to the end of LI and then come east to the beach.
Unless the body was 'dumped in the river' that dumps into the sound or bay below; CT River and nearby Hudson River both move at hundreds to thousands of cubic feet per second (up to several square miles per hour depending on rain from upstream and other factors such as season), and The Hudson River in particular definitely is accessible from CT and flows south into the vast waterways comingling above and into the LI Sound:

B/c it was referring the the body found in the water in Coney Island not on land or in trash receptacles.

If not solved in the first 48 hrs....
They had their man right off the bat.
LE solved it. Now they need help proving it. Wonder if there are any women that were approached by FD for an affair before MT? Or anyone that heard his fantasy revenge plots other than JD.
Come forward, please.
One cannot forget the excitement he exuded when she went missing. The Ad Litem he spoke to in his excitement to say JD was missing, should have been more outspoken right then.

I have wondered if his first wife thought or knew he was leaving her because he wanted JD’s money.

Thanks for bringing back the link to the article about bloody clothing. The question is, whose clothing is it?
If it's JD's (could be verified by family/friends) and they can reconstruct that it was worn during the assault (by blood stain patterns on it, for example) then that provides one piece of information. If it's men's clothing in FDs size, that's another matter. Other suggestions could be that it was kids clothes packed in the car in the garage to take to NYC for the night, that FD could have grabbed to use in the cleanup if no towels, etc was handy.
The type and nature of blood stains on the clothing likely gives LE some additional information.

I feel a whole lot of motions in limine coming on

I wonder if such a person, if called in the context of an otherwise seemingly unrelated hypothetically criminal proceeding, might hypothetically invoke the Fifth?

It’s always all shield AND sword with everything every time for FD it seems.

I hate to even say it, but I write it, it defines him I think: Overkill. He’s got to have the last word.

Who lives, who dies, who tells your story?

How many words has he put in the mouths of others? How many statements has he twisted? He’s unused to others speaking for him.

He is the one who speaks FoRe others.

Not that I think much of MT, but I personally think FD might be the gold digger....LOL!!!

Understood what the post was referring to, just wondering why a post about keys near a body found on Coney Island means they must have had clothing on, and what that has to do with JD being missing posted on this thread for her disappearance. It's off topic (unless clothing found to date reported by LE in JD's case is discussed in this context). IMO.

I don't know the answer to this but I wonder with the FD personality type if they are at risk for self harm or harm to others? My suspicion is not because in their minds they never do anything wrong so live as perpetual victims of others errors. But I am curious if the stress simply becomes overwhelming would FD be at risk of self harm or harm to others? Is he a danger the the public in any way? The court didn't address this and the State didn't bring it up but I wonder if they were wrong not to?

I think you summarized perfectly that people are the same no matter where they live! I think people generally have more in common than not and even though you see alot of privilege in this case I don't think it in any way translates to people not doing the right thing and assisting in an investigation. The thing is that in a town the size of NC with enough LE staffing that the situation will be figured out eventually IMO. Public participation just most likely makes things happen faster.

My guess is that people that knew JD well and had any relevant information about her or what they might have seen in town on the missing date and before did go to LE. If there are still people out there that haven't gone to LE with info I hope they do pronto!
