Attorney for Jennifer Dulos’ mother: Fotis Dulos lied in depositions

Fotis Dulos also contradicted himself by stating he traveled to Florida to meet a Greek investor in 2018, but previous court documents and depositions indicated the same investor had loaned him $500,000 in 2016, Weinstein’s documents said. His travel expenses for 2018 totaled more than $35,000, Weinstein said.
Weinstein contends in multiple court filings made Wednesday that Fotis Dulos claimed his net worth in financial statements to banks was more than $4 million, but later reduced the figure to $437,793 for the purposes of family court proceedings in the divorce.
Fotis Dulos claimed he spent $60,000 in expenses for his five children, including $10,000 for water skiing, Weinstein said. But he has not paid any child support since he and his wife separated in 2017, the documents contend. The children have been with Farber since their mother disappeared.
“While claims millions of dollars of net worth in regard to financial statements submitted to banks, in his financial affidavit submitted to the family court on Feb. 22, 2018, he indicated his assets were $437,793.24,” Weinstein wrote in his motion.
Weinstein filed papers Wednesday seeking to have some of the unheard motions in the case argued.

I missed that the first time, thanks. And WOW. He couldn't remember the name of the transporter and the fee? Total lies. I wonder where these cars are now? Was something hidden in the cars? MOO!

No wonder he was gone 10 days out of every month. Not all water skiing related.
So now we have car sales added to his resume.
How does this fit in? Certainly would support our predictions that he has money stashed away in Greece.
Bringing them IN. Hmmmm.

I suppose these sales would depend heavily on the exchange rate between US dollar and EU. Even if not profitable, any mistakes would be made up on currency speculation? With an MBA in finance, it would be an easy thing for FD to do. Where is the profit/$ from these car sales and currency speculations? Seriously twisted fact/finance situation. He could have used Farber money to finance these businesses. OPM. “Other people’s money.” Great tool in con-artist’s bag of tricks. This is just one step away from money laundering. And importing Greek cars would need contacts in longshoremen circles. All comes back to water. Maybe her remains were in a car, taken out to sea and rolled off the barge. Drum idea easier. But who knows. FD and God know. And In God We Trust.

Used cars Greece

And then look at what I stumbled across at the same time.
https://www.unodc.org/res/cld/docum...cerpts_html/Greece_Criminal_Code_Excerpts.pdf

Greek Penal Code re: Greeks abroad being held criminally liable in Greece for same crime committed abroad. Double whammy.
As you know, USA has double jeopardy laws. I guess FD isn’t up on all the crimes he could potentially be charged with committing. After he’s done his life without parole sentence in CT, Greece won’t need to step in. But if shorter for some unknown reason, what happens? Does Greece one after him? Can we just send FD there with our goodby’s? And let Greece take over from there?
I wonder if they have double jeopardy in Greece? No death sentencing there.
Well enough running down more ideas about FD. No wonder he got up at 4:30 am and was out the door. Energy to spare. Or drug enhanced.
I’m just thankful I’m not him or MT. Or I’d look like .

I don't see how FD could have used a transfer station in any town. The are mostly primarily stops for specific items, electronics, textiles, recyclable items, unwanted small appliances etc. They have bins around the perimeter of a large pull in area and you pull your car next to or near the bin you want to off load to. In my town, you carry the items into a trailer. They are wide open areas. Very difficult to mask a wrapped up body carried to a bin. Besides, all the transfer areas that have been mentioned on this thread have rather stringent residency requirements and attendants to be sure the rule are adhered to. The attendants check your license for residency and check for a permit sticker. Tough to get past. Plus, cameras are present to prevent abuse.
But, most of all, everything is out in the open, he would have been seen and remembered and whatever bin would he have put her, unwanted appliance?
I think he had the altered plates on the red pick up and put her body in a commercial dumpster in a minority neighborhood in Waterbury or New Britain.
Then he repeated the pattern with the bloody rags etc. on Albany Ave. later the same day.
He could have done this well within the timeline because those cities are on the way up I-84 back to Farmington.
I also think that is why LE stopped their discussion of his whereabouts etc. at the intersection of I-84 and 8. That is either not a finished timeline for them or it is and it comes out in the murder warrent. MOO MOO MOO
The NC Transfer station allows the use of plastic bags for the disposal of "garbage" which is defined as being anything not on the recycling list or metal or contractor debris and lawn cleanup items. I will post a picture at some point of people pulling up their vehicles and contractors their trucks and tossing multiple black and white plastic bags and simply driving away. This process of dropping off garbage bags goes on all day and its quick and easy and oftentimes the attendants aren't checking plates unfortunately IMO.

The issue is that we don't know the camera situation at NC Transfer Station. Farmington has a street pickup schedule and we've looked at that timing option for FD/MT for 4Jx and 80MS. We haven't investigated the garbage pick up situation in Avon CT though for 585 DC property and so I will work on that one as it hasn't been put into the thread yet.

BBM - Indeed! What is your professional opinion of using the IRS loan and 401(K) loan to pay credit card debt? Also, GF's attorney revealed in a recent interview that FD's tax returns reflected a loan from his FIL (approx. $1 million). In 2017, FD asked his accountant to change this loan into equity. The accountant refused, so FD found another accountant who agreed. What is your take on this transaction?

Exactly! Your description IMO nails the situation in CT perfectly. Thank you!

CT Judiciary and its rules/regulations/laws are IMO frozen in a time and place that is over a 100 years ago, in many cases. But the existing legal system in CT does serve the interests of for lack of a better word, legal cabal, that makes a fortune simply churing out the motions over and over and over again.

Look to the Dulos civil case and how nothing was moving for nearly 2 years, in part because the two suits were being heard by 2 separate Judges (so, 2 motions, 2 files, 2 court times and 2 depositions etc)! It took Atty Weinstein over a year to get the cases consolidated under the SAME JUDGE in Civil Court! He is now fighting to get the 4Jx action included in the case load of the same Judge that is working on the GF v Dulos case in Civil Court to facilitate the process.

Businesses have been fleeing CT for years as its simply hard to do business within the existing system. Most people that don't need to work in NYC anymore also choose to leave CT for the reasons stated in the OP.

FD and his 'crew of bad boy lawyers' have this system down perfectly and have been exploiting it for personal gain IMO for years. If you don't have time to read much I suggest just taking a gander of FD responses/or lack thereof in Family Court about his finances. With his level of 'cooperation' IMO there was no mystery why nothing was able to move ahead in Family Court. Going back to his Dateline statement about 'wanting to move forward', there is zero that I have seen from FD either in Family Court or Civil Court to suggest this is true - so, I'm calling BS on that FD statement and calling a 'shame on you' on Dateline for not doing more to explain the stalling tactics/offense that FD and his lawyers have been using for years!

I am so glad that this sad situation with all the litigation is playing out into the publics view as so much has been hidden away over the years IMO. I hope the press continue to cover these issues but change is driven from Hartford and sadly nothing ever seems to change in Hartford!

I do hope that Criminal Court might be different from what we have seen in Family Court with Judge Heller and in Civil Court. I look forward to seeing Judge Blawie in in the State v Dulos matter. For those that don't know him here is a brief bio: 5 Things to Know About Judge John Blawie, Who Heard Connecticut's Last Death Penalty Case | Connecticut Law Tribune

We will have to see how criminal court proceeds but my guess is that we might just be treated to an endless series of 'continuances' which is the CT lawyers typical tool of choice to kick the can down the road as Pattisville is in Nowheresville IMO with the FD alibi/alternative explanation!

MOO

Probably why gag order hasn’t been granted yet. What is going on out there? SOMEONE is reaping a huge profit. Huge money on top but as it trickles down, NC parks can’t afford to have working cameras installed. Really?
REALLY?????

This issue is facinating IMO with the Greek Penal Code.

Wonder if he will renounce that citizenship!

Wish we had someone able to follow the press on this in Greece!

I was quite surprised he was able to find an accountant to make that kind of change, as that is something which would definitely red flag that return, and no reputable accountant would want to do that. Accountants tend to be straight-forward bunch, always erring on the side of not triggering an audit. Wonder if FD found the replacement through some of the sterling members of the Bar who, from the partial transcript I read, seemed to be encouraging the stonewalling of mandatory financial disclosures in the divorce case?

From the little that has been made available, it seems FD was running roughshod over the legal process. He clearly has no respect for our system of justice, and instead views court proceedings as a game for him to "win". He is going to be in for a rude awakening once he sees how differently the criminal court system operates. He is not going to be permitted to pull these intentional sleights of hand that he seems to believe he has mastered. No respectable defender is going to risk their license to pull this type of fraud on the court. As much as I disapprove of NP, I do not believe even he would agree to present knowingly fabricated evidence. Time will tell.

BBM-not so fast; there are plenty of dishonest accountants out there. Trust me, FD didn’t have to search for long to find one who would magically turn a loan obligation into equity. I have a friend who, at the moment, is battling her brothers with whom she is an owner of a company, and a crooked accountant, with some similar circumstances to this case. And don’t forget all of the accountants that you read about in the paper who have stolen from their clients. I think there’s the same percentage of honest and dishonest accountants as any other profession (says the daughter of an honest accountant).

Walking into court, Norm Pattis says Fotis Dulos was not in New Canaan the day Jennifer Dulos went missing and there is no evidence that will put him in New Canaan that day.

....

I wonder what FD's water skiing pals from "The Pond" think of him now? Mr. Jet-Sett, Big-Bucks is nothing but a psychopathic con man. Respectfully, MOO.

Respectfully snipped for focus.

Those that are the same as FD are happy they weren’t caught. They by definition only care about themselves. They could think/care less. Upstanding people are appalled, I’m sure.

How about his DNA on her faucet, INSIDE the house he had never entered before the morning of May 24th? Hmm, Mr. Pattis? How did Jennifer’s blood get into the truck that only he had access to? Hmm, Mr. Pattis? These things sound like evidence to me. And, I just want to say, Mr. Pattis, you make an incredibly sloppy appearance in court-and so does your no-tie client. Are we to assume that the two of you are attempting to indicate that this is no big deal, and that you two don’t feel the need to present yourselves in an appropriate way? We know Dulos has no respect for our court system, but you, Mr. Pattis, are an officer of the court.

That was my thought exactly before I scrolled down and read yours.

Pretty much everyone here knows FD committed this crime. There is really almost ZERO doubt. I feel comfortable making that statement. Every 2 or 3 weeks, someone posts who says there is doubt and when sincerely asked for alternative explanations of the evidence, there are none. It is never explained for example how the blood evidence could have any sort of innocent explanation and not point right at FD. The altered license plates....lots of theories but nobody knows for sure. All MOO.

Those posters are applying the wrong standard. Not beyond a REASONABLE doubt but ANY doubt. NP would love them in the jury box. IMOO.

Thank you, dear.

We're weird enough to love the story, Hope, and my fifteen year old granddaughter is totally empowered by it.

God uses all of it, doesn't he?

You guys aren’t weird! That’s a legendary story with such a great, and yes, indeed, empowering message! My relatives are from the Deep South and I get it, entirely.
