The other think about Atty Bowman is that I believe his rep is as an atty that will work to get a deal and is able to work with feds or state to make that happen. I'm not sure he is as known as a trial atty. This might just be perception but he spent so many years as a prosecutor that my sense is that he knows the local landscape and can maneuver the system on behalf of his clients. This compares to Atty. P., who in his own words signs up for a court date with every case and doesn't really have the same history of negotiating deals on behalf of his clients even though he has done a few so far as I know. I think he is waiting for the AG to file charges against MT:
Tax fraud, Wire fraud, RICO, etc then she’ll make a deal to keep herself and others(not FD) out of jail

Anyone want to go down a worm hole with me? I can't figure out how to link webpage but there seems to be a promising wealth of information on the official Pound Ridge website, about wells, septic systems and buried oil tanks. They have an interactive map where we can look at specific properties, relative to these features, I think. Any locals, apparently there's a list, viewable by request, at the Town Hall of all oil tank/hazardous waste spilloffs.... with construction of these multi million dollar houses, I have to believe there are all sorts of opportune reservoirs.

In my opinion, FD had his Gone Girl scenario all worked out. He planned for it. Then he carried it out. If not for the unexpected blood, he may well have pulled it off. Ambush her, incapacitate her, deposit her, be back home sipping expensive coffee.... as if he'd never left.

Atty P, based on the history of people he has represented, probably doesn’t like making deals; he just puts up his dukes and fights it all out. Unfortunately for him (and his clients), he typically loses.

I agree with all of this. I think FD and MT were intent on driving Jennifer completely crazy with their antics. Constantly jamming their disgusting affair in her face, and making no secret of it in their local community. I actually think that they were trying to make a fool of her (as if they could) in the school where the children attended, and anywhere else she felt comfortable. He hated her, and by association, so did MT. He wanted to take away everything she had-her money, her home, her children, and her sanity. He was going to leave her with nothing, not even her reputation as a wonderful, caring mother. And he still hates her for managing to put him in “this mess”. There is nothing at all in him which is redeemable. He is the devil.

You have some insight into what was going on in her universe-I can only imagine how soul-destroying this has been for Jennifer and for you. There are some really terrible people out there and they are immensely talented at hiding it from normal people, until it is too late to save yourself. I am actually thrilled that I was not from a family of means when I met the man who became my husband of 33 years. FD appears to be a mere shell of a human being; just a coating with absolutely nothing on the inside-like a piece of chocolate that you expect to be filled with something gooey and delicious. When you’ve made your choice and can’t go back for another, you find out there isn’t anything inside. And...the outer coating is bad for you.

I have never given much thought to ankle bracelets, but I'm beginning to wonder if they're just a deterrent, designed more to give the public a sense of (false) security but to little to limit real criminals. Naively I imagined constant surveillance... someone watching little blips on a screen, making sure the blips never go rogue. Now I see that it's a tool with limited monitor.

Does anyone have the ability to make sure TWO ankle bracelets on TWO individuals with a no contact order aren't blipping at the same location???

These are not law followers.

Ankle bracelets, judges' orders, common decency, they do not feel honor bound.

Hard to imagine either of them could have allies at this point, but is SOMEONE providing them with opportunities and locations to rendezvous, away from the public eye?

And if not bodily and in tandem, cinema style, are they communicating by letter? I go to Location X and leave a note. You go to Location X later to retrieve it? They'd be STUPID to put anything in writing but so far I haven't seen any genius...

Truth: what ARE they doing with their abundant free time? So far, by my count, we've got coffee, differential equations and sweeping.

What are they up to????

It will be interesting to see EXACTLY what the future charges will be AND from whom...as usual, "probably" there will be a higher charge that gets negotiated down and the feds & state will participate in the "game" of "we have the strongest evidence & longest detention time"

IMVHO: both have evidence of multiple "infractions", I do love the idea of
consecutive vs concurrent sentences at various facilities!

The no contact order was made at request of Bowman, IIRC. Possibly a smokescreen. If MT doesn't mind contact, then I don't think the court will mind either. For instance, with a restraining order or trespass order, if victim initiates contact, orders are generally void. Can someone verify if the no contact order was initiated by Bowman or the court? If initiated by Bowman, it doesn't carry much weight, IMO.
ETA: I wonder if no contact order was pre-emptive by Bowman as I think the court often places these type of no contact orders as a matter of course. If Bowman asks for and receives that order, then MT is not violating a court order by contacting FD. Only her own request.
