Well Done.

MDATCA it is.

We don't even know if she is flying alone; however, unaccompanied minors are common though. I used to be a flight attendant and it is very common for children that age to be flying. The airlines know who they are and they see them through the airports and onto the planes.
Agree with you. I flew internationally since I was 8 years old and the flight attendants watched me throughout the whole process from going through security to getting my luggage at the baggage claim to finding the people who would pick me up. It’s not a big deal TBH. MOO

its a horrible story but I hope CT has this technology

According to sources who worked on the case and participated in the search, the reason the search was so swift and successful is because investigators used the emerging technology of digital forensics. Detectives were able to extract data from Brianna Williams’ black 2017 Honda Accord.
Armed with a search warrant, investigators used data recovery technology to access the GPS log files within the vehicle systems. That data extraction gave investigators historical locations and movements of the vehicle, which offered almost pinpoint accuracy.
Modern cars collect data sets from upward of 70 onboard computers. These computers gather information as cars connect to Wifi, Bluetooth, navigation aids and other apps. The cars also record navigation history and even some details like when car doors are opened or stops made.
Those data points are then used in conjunction with the more commonly used cell phone data to create a remarkably true-to-life footprint.
Data extraction can be done using a variety of means, but in this case, forensic analysts used what’s known as "chip-off" forensics data, a delicate process that is able to collect data but destroys the digital device in the process.
The company that collected the data in the Taylor Williams case confirmed its processes to First Coast News, but asked not to be identified.
Here's how investigators were able to find 5-year-old Taylor Williams' remains

Three words to suggest to the Judge for this request: UBER and motion denied.

Why give special consideration to MT? Why not simply send Mama A to the airport?

Only in a case associated with FD and MT would a motion reference 'compliance with the terms of release' as a 'positive' and 'reason' for granting the motion and not take compliance as a given because its the law. Nope, not MT and FD, compliance with the law never seems to be 'given' and so we are supposed to believe that MT is a 'model citizen' for simply complying with the generous terms of her release?

Absolute BS IMO.

Hartford Airport is International so simply FLY
TO HARTFORD.

I so agree especially knowing that about Hartford! And what a slap in the face to JD’s family! Now I wonder if the daughter is going to go to school in NY? Or if MT plans to slip away from there like on a private plane like FD’s friend owns? Why should the prosecution help her when she has not helped them find justice for JD? MOO.

AbsolutelyAnd how would MOST people feel if they finally had a quiet weekend getaway with their spouse who is gone most of the year - and then that spouse buy hours of binge-worthy movies for THEM to watch, knowing the other partner is not also going to watch them - before even getting on the plane?

It was a really cold thing to do, actually.

It was such a typical thing for FD to do and that is the worst, in MOO.

But didn’t you see, Karp said it wasn’t about a crime at all, he never liked the original address and it was a Feng Shui thing. I mean I know the number 69 has some lewd associations and all, but “Feng Shui”, really? Blood stains on the floor doesn’t sound like such good Feng Shui to me, actually.

Karp probably realized he needed to offload it soon because once a trial or even another AW drops, then there are likely to eventually be photos of the house, the garage, the woods behind and FDs supposed approach to the house, where he was “laying in wait” all diagrammed out, plus any fingerprint evidence on doors, kitchen faucets, etc.
Then really who is going to buy it, or even want to go over there for dinner? Like, “and here is where he had dinner outside with his kids and played basketball 2 days before” and “ here is where they say he was hiding, right in this corner over here behind our Lamborghini” and “we changed the faucet out in the kitchen and actually moved the island because we wanted to change around the Feng Shui”.

Think of how Kelsey Berreth’s townhouse photos are plastered all over the media. Karp probably saw that and ran, not walked, to the Public Works office.

Final thought: for those of you who want to see how huge a difference having the leaves fallen down off the trees makes (a subject of convo here a thread or two back) scroll through the pictures in the SA article. One of the first pictures shows the house a few weeks after JDs disappearance. You can see the thick leaf cover of the woods in back that would have made it much easier for FD to sneak around back there.
The photos near the end show the house presumably within the past couple weeks. The trees in the woods behind are totally bare, and there is a huge difference in the visibility. This is true not just for someone sneaking around but also for anything that might have been discarded, like a colored tarp, an item of clothing, etc. or dropped unintentionally.

It might help if he publicly (since he’s already thrown himself from the frying pan into the flames) announced he had some kind of cleansing ceremony (I have no idea what those are but a friend sends bundles of sage to burn for new residences) AND if he said he was going to donate some of the money to a domestic-violence charity. I think people could stomach it better if there were some kind of positive there. MOO.

NC Real Estate Market is having a tough go of things presently. Found this article today which I have to say was creative marketing and so if you purchase this house by a specific date you get a 3 yr lease for a Range Rover.

IMO Mr. Karp might have to get similarly 'creative' on the listing for 69/71 Welles in New Canaan.

Wow! House: Range Rover Lease Comes With Sale Of New Canaan Home

I just saw this—sorry for saying something similar before reading on. I quite agree. MOO.

1. Why is she flying alone Internationally?
Someone should have accompanied her or been sent to fly back with her given the circumstances and the amount of money they “ apparently” have ..

2. If they deem her old enough to fly Internationally then doesn’t it follow that she would be old enough to have a car service pick her up (given the fact) that her Mother cannot leave the State?

3. Alternatively, why not have her connect in Florida and fly into Hartford ?

Replying to my own post ..

What I meant by “ why is she flying alone given the circumstances”.

I envisioned Paparrazi , TMZ at baggage claim . Additionally, her mother is out on bail , cannot leave the State, has an Ankle Bracelet Tracking her whereabouts ( She can’t meet her at the gate ). Why would MT want to possible be an embarrassment or cause undue stress to her child.

I understand that she is old enough to fly alone as an unaccompanied minor .
If she is old enough / savvy enough to fly Internationally by herself then why Wouldn’t MT hire a high end Car Service at
$200 to meet her in baggage claim, get her bag and walk to the car ?

There is no one MT can call to pick her daughter up at the Airport.
C’mon !

Why is MT spending $2,000 ( I’ll pretend Bowman is $500 an hour) for an Attorney to write up a Motion and argue it in Court ?

It literally doesn’t make any sense ..
None , Nada .
Is there another reason MT needs to get into NY?
Now, That Makes sense ..

Excellent idea on both aspects. IMO.

I am 100% with you.

In addition, if MamaA and PapaT can make all these court dates, then they can pick up a child at the airport?

It really is, Not that hard.

IMO.

Welllllllll…...I agree with everything you are saying! This may be one time that a "press presence" could thwart MT's plans if she hopes to take a detour to another portion of the airport. However, since the exact date is unknown, I doubt MT's reunion with her daughter would be a high value target for a photo op for the press in NYC.

Wonder if her daughter could be flying to NYC on a private plane....someone leaving Venezuela back to the U.S......or ?????

This makes absolutely no sense to me either...the attorney fees, the possibility of press interference, the embarrassment for her daughter....WHY????

Our son wanted to make a cross-country solo trip to visit his grandparents at 7...changing planes in Denver, ....he was fine! As much as MT's child has traveled for ski events, yearly trips from Venezuela to the U.S., etc. She is not a novice traveler. Something about this arrangement is suspect IMO, MOO.

bbm If MT planned to escape, she hasn't thought it through, although thinking things through doesn't appear to be her style. What is clear is the following:

She certainly could have made other arrangements, and most likely HAS done so in the past, since she didn't own a car, for example:
  • Another relative, friend (if she has any) picks her up
  • Daughter takes continuing flight to Bradley Airport
  • Daughter takes direct flight to CT
  • Limo service that runs all through CT, to and from airports
  • Bus service directly from airport, and pick her up in CT
  • Private taxi - which would be cheaper than paying the lawyer to write that motion!
  • Uber/other similar service
Since she had her lawyer write up a motion about this, she either isn't paying for her lawyer (CT taxpayers are, perhaps?), or would prefer to spend the money on the lawyer and expose her daughter to media scrutiny, instead of for a taxi for her daughter.

Since she didn't make other arrangements, it's safe to assume that she has no regard for her daughter's emotional well-being. Her daughter would probably not have been recognized by the media, but now she will be. She'll be all the more ostracized.

Why would she expose her daughter to this? Because MT likes the attention.
Or - she's creating a media diversion for someone else.

I agree. NONE OF THIS MAKES SENSE!

MT made the decision to expose and involve her child in this case the minute she made this request to her attorney. IMO

Every photographer, reporter, gawker, what have you can and will be there to report this public meeting.

One thing I find curious about the way the articles were written vs what is contained in the motion is the word "meet". As reported, the motion states that MT wants to "meet" her daughter at JFK. SA added the words "pick up". Is it possible that MT's child is flying through JFK (fingers crossed) and heading elsewhere? Like Colorado? If that turns out to be the case, then MT just selfishly exposed her childs whereabouts to the world...both where she is on that date as well as where she's going...to meet her for a bit of time.

All MOO

You just know the judge will allow this bimbo to pick up her kid...the only thing I can think of is the prosecution is trying not to make her mad, so they can extract some useful information from her, as if she really will, at this point, tell them anything. I wonder if FD is having Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners with MT and family? Would anyone really even stop them? I am 100% sure that they are communicating.

  • #397
Maybe MT will hide the foot bracelet from her daughter and doesn't want her to know she is being monitored...restricted from out of state. ..hence why she wants to pick her up to act normal as she has ALWAYS (more than likely)picked her up and doesn't want her daughter questioning why she wouldn't be there. I wouldn't want to put a motion through alerting others of arrival of daughter in the court system. WTH was Bowman thinking and advising?

  • #398
And the pick up at JFK is probably to avoid CT media. There shouldn't be any special priveledgrs for this. The Farber family and Jennifer's children don't get to spend the rest of their Thanksgivings, holidays, and birthdays with their mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Why should the state of CT make it easy on MT. Maybe just maybe....charges will be pressed soon!!?!?

FD crooked CPA is KM former paralegal's ex husband. Just sayin'!!!!

Atty Colangelo supposedly didn't object to the 'trip' to JFK so it looks to be a 'done deal'.

I have to admit to joining the group here that thinks this trip is suspicious and makes no sense given the many available options. Assuming Atty Bowman fee for motion and filing fees was $1,000+ and car service was $250/$300 to Avon then it really makes it an easy choice to make except if MT daughter is en route to another location and MT only way to see her would be to visit her at the airport.

Whatever the situation I hope that Atty Colangelo has tasked the monitoring company to make sure that MT makes zero stops along the way and does what she says she is going to do at the airport and nothing else. I think the situation should be watched 'live' by the monitoring company and not with their usual delayed reporting to Atty Colangelo and Judge Blawie. I do hope that LE does not have to pay a State Trooper or other member of LE to 'escort' MT to the airport and back as this truly would be a waste of taxpayer dollars IMO.

I continue to be baffled by Atty Colangelo allowing exceptions to the Judges orders regarding staying in CT, as MT has been charged with very serious crimes and yet behaves by all accounts as if 'all is well' and 'nothing to see here'.

IMO MT should be lucky she isn't in jail without bail pending trial as in my mind this would be entirely fair given the tragic circumstances of this case.

I would also think that the idea that MT is in NY could present unease to the Farber family and 5 children and the Judge might be more sensitive to this issue with any future requests to venture into NY from FD and MT.

MOO
