I'm not sure how this was obtained by the HC as I thought the file was sealed. I HOPE that this was not received via Atty. P. and/or Atty Rochlin or the member of Pattisville.

I hope that Atty Colangelo is watching these information disclosure and associated discussion for violation of ongoing gag orders.

MOO

We can only hope.;)

Have it ever been established the paper towels supply was kept in the kitchen. Could they have been stored in the garage?
Don’t quote me on this, but I thought I read somewhere about them being in the Pantry. ???

"FD would have planned better and taken JFd's purse along, leaving it or at least some of its contents not far from her car to indicate she'd been abducted and robbed. "

I believe FD did not plan on the time needed to cleanup the garage. Therefore, some of the details, like the purse, was not considered. MOO

IMO, I agree FD did not plan on the quantity of blood and extensive cleanup needed. Odd though that he grabbed JFd's cellphone, which was likely inside JFd's purse, so if the plan made in advance was to fake an abduction, why grab the cellphone and leave the purse behind?

I know young people and some men tend to carry their cellphones in their pants pockets, but I and most mothers I know - and certainly those of us in our 50's or 60's, keep our cellphones in our purses. I don't know what JFd's habits about this were.

IMO, there was quite a lot of panic at 69 Welles Ln about the quantity of blood after the attack, so plans went awry, time was ticking, and the attacker(s) were behaving in a disorganized way, but I strongly believe the Suburban left as it was (running lights on and transmission in "Reverse") and where it was (outside the park, rather than at a parking lot in the park) was reflective of that panic rather than as part of an original plan to fake an abduction which was supposed to have occurred at the site of the Suburban. At best, it was a poorly improvised alternative to the original plan.

If using a faked abduction to draw attention away from himself as most likely person-of-interest, IMO FD and his associate(s) would have developed plans to: transfer body, bags, and Suburban's cargo area mat to Tacoma, then park the Suburban in a parking lot at the park, then lock the doors, and then toss the keys (and possibly the phone, with SIM card removed) into some brush - to leave the impression that JFd had gone for a quick morning walk or run in the park and was abducted or attacked by a serial rapist and dragged off to some hidden location there -, and then ride bicycle from parked Suburban back to the Tacoma.

Perhaps that WAS the plan, but IMO the long clean up at the attack scene had eaten up all the time before an alarm might be expected to arise about JFd missing and not returning calls, so FD - in increasing panic about the potential for being caught with her body in close proximity to JFd's home - had to improvise and made multiple mistakes: forgot to grab the purse even while grabbing the cellphone out of it (that purse left at home with cellphone missing would be a big red flag, IMO), left the Suburban outside the park - close to where the Tacoma had been parked for over two hours - rather than in a parking lot inside the park away from where the Tacoma had been, moved the Suburban just a short distance away from Tacoma and forget to put transmission in "Park" in his hurry to get away, and left blood on the outside of the Suburban as well as inside the cargo area of the Suburban (even though the cargo mat was removed).

So, all that said, I think there may have been an original "make it look like an abduction at the park" plan, but a long and unplanned cleanup of blood at the attack scene necessitated new plans be improvised to make up for lost time. Once back on track with the original plan, FD went on his merry way as though the original plan had been followed without considering the many ways his disorganization at the first and second scene would point investigators back at him abducting JFd from her house rather than at a stranger-abductor taking JFd after she pulled over to the side of the road.

Two articles about Pines Lake:
Poison ivy is my enemy!
Some of us have no way of avoiding the eventual oil-filled pustules. Its leaves seek us out. They taunt us.
Others can roll around in it for an hour, and nothing.
It's been my hated foe since I was a young kid exploring the wooded areas surrounding Pine Lake in Bristol.
It was everywhere — whether fishing from the brush in the summer or getting off the ice and cutting through the woods during the winter, when most think it is dormant.
I only had to look at it to be pulled into its weeks-long nightmare of oozing and itching and scratching and not sleeping.
I've Met the Enemy and It's Poison Ivy

State police diver pulled the body of a 66-year-old woman, who had been missing since Monday, from the shallow water of Pine Lake's northern shore Tuesday afternoon
The discovery of the body of Barbara Lavigne of 34 Charles St. ended an extensive search that involved two state police dogs, 20 volunteers and police officers covering swampy terrain around the lake Monday evening, and surveillance by the Connecticut Civil Air Patrol, police Lt. Mark Moskowitz said.
Police said the circumstances of Lavigne's death did not appear suspicious. An autopsy will be performed today by the office of the chief state medical examiner in Farmington.
Lavigne was reported missing at 4:30 p.m. Monday
On Tuesday divers from the state police Emergency Services Unit were called in to search the lake. Students from nearby Bristol Central High School gathered to watch.
About 2:45 p.m., state police spotted Lavigne's body floating about 50 feet from shore.

Chemicals in general:
Maybe related to proximity of Tolland to MA: A friend of a friend (engineer by profession) buys chemicals in PA - you know, it is cheaper than dry cleaning your clothes professionally. Just dip stain in chemical and continue on your day. Maybe lime or something else is easier to get over the state border.

Bristol:
The first thought that came into my 40 years+ CT resident (local to Fairfield though, not local to Bristol area) friend's mind when I showed him the Google map @Alkali13 posted of SW cellphone tower pings and asked him where he would put a body around there is: Lake Compounce. IDK if there is an actual lake there. Can be scoping it out for Memorial Day activities for kids that got crushed because of the court hearing.
Lime is a relatively safe chemical that's used to
change the alkalinity/acidity of soil in the lawn
or garden.
Lie, on the other hand is a chemical that deteriorates live tissue, is very caustic to handle, think Draino as it eats away drainage clogs.
So it seems lie or hydrochloric acid would be
what the old Mob used and modern Cartel, to
break down body tissue.

Lake Compounce would be a good spot to dump a body because other than the old amusement park on one end, the other 3 sides
were all wooded and unbuilt/undeveloped
when I lived there. The surrounding woods were very isolated and off the beaten path.
Also this area would be a back way to get to and from I-84.

Disagree about cell being kept in purse. This is only my own personal conduct. YMMV. I never put mine in the purse while driving. Always in the cup holder for easy access. JD may or may not have brought the purse while driving the kids to school. It's a very short distance. I don't always bring mine when going to the convenience store a few blocks away. I'm in my 50s since you mentioned age! I will often bring the phone and keep the purse at home. IME only!

That article was like a train wreck. I couldn't stop reading it even when I know I should have turned away. Now I m left feeling like I want to vomit.
The last line says it all: the source is Dulos' grieving family. Grieve! I get that. The PR is hurting the living, especially Dulos' children. Grieve and let them grieve.

I believe nothing of that write up until I see the source material myself.
Hi - I didn't find any "source" line as being from the family - can you quote it please? I looked, but didn't see it. Thank you!

It appeared to me that NP had given someone the case files, perhaps. Not cool.

MOO about the source, based on the sentence that said, approximately, "Fotis had a picture of his children in the car, according to his family" I don't remember the exact quote. I inferred source from that last sentence. MOO and sorry for any cow pies.

Oh, I see. The article stated his family said just about the photos: "His family said that inside the car, Dulos had pictures of his five children."

Was wondering what the source of the whole article was, though; certainly not Jennifer's family.

And probably not legal.

Atty Rochlin IMO would have had a complete set of the Family Court files. Prior to his removal from Family Court it is likely that perhaps Atty. P. also had a set of the documents.

Trying something different. Going to do a Q&A on Dulos case. I've gotten private messages and questions from people so thought it'd be worth it. Next Tuesday at noon, you can submit questions ahead of time by following link. Its for subscribers only.
Courant investigative reporter Dave Altimari to answer your questions about the Dulos case live

Looks like DA might be issuing a 'challenge' on Q&A on the Dulos case.

Subscribers only so I guess that might limit the response to 2-3 folks.

Do we have any Subscribers here that could perhaps aggregate questions for DA to 'answer'? I also wonder if Atty. P. will be on the project too or perhaps a direct line to Athens to ask questions of "Sister" Rena.

Unfortunate as I think I could start typing now and still have questions going by next Tuesday, but I'm not sure anything absent a free subscription would entice me to be a 'Subscriber of the HC'!

MOO

That is why I keep thinking he did not intend on killing her or plan on the blood loss. He planned on zip ties since he brought them but did not bring any cleaning supplies or anything to soak up blood.

The zip ties were 36" long, which is quite long if they were intended only to restrain her hands and/or feet - 12" or 18" would suffice. That FD used longer zip ties may or may not be important. Maybe he just happened to have those around because he used that size to secure bundles of construction materials or debris in his construction activities.

However, I believe it possible that those large zip ties were used because FD planned in advance to disable and/or kill JFd, then put her body in a pair of garbage bags taped together end to end (to make it one long bag), and then wrap her bag-wrapped body in long zip ties at four places along her body's length, much as one would do if needed to carry a long rug or length of carpet.

This is an intriguing theory; I’m still not sure the AWs support the accomplice theory but this is food for thought. For instance there is no information about KMs movements all day. MT seems to have her own alibi all set up but we have not heard much substance about where KM was during that day.

MT offered another set of alibis (Alibi Script #2?) for her own supposed whereabouts on the morning of 5/24, but none of them have been verified, so she may well have been somewhere else all morning.

Who knows? Perhaps MamaA was there to answer the phone back home, for all we know! :)

Moo.
