Hmmmm....Today was thinking about MT's recent pre-trial hearing. I couldn't remember her making pleas on the newer charges against her.

She didn't. I wonder why??? No Pleas:
53a-166* HINDERING PROSECUTION 2ND DEG C Felony 1 5/24/2019
53a-155 TAMPERING-PHYSICAL EVIDENCE D Felony 1 5/24/2019
53a-155 CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT TAMPERING-PHYSICAL EVIDENCE D Felony 1 5/29/2019

Any ideas? Am I missing something obvious?
I thought the same thing. That I didn't remember her putting in a plea.

Is this what you are talking about? The new charges from end of August?
Looks like she slipped in pleas at the end of the hearing. Are they not recorded? Everything is backed up with the functionality of the courts due to COVID which is frustrating.

“Minutes before the hearing, Chief State’s Attorney Richard J. Colangelo Jr. filed two additional counts of conspiracy to commit tampering with evidence, removed one charge of first-degree hindering prosecution and added a second-degree hindering prosecution charge.
Her attorney, Jon Schoenhorn, entered pleas of not guilty to the new charges at the end of the court appearance. He was informed of the additional charges as the judge walked into the courtroom, Schoenhorn said.”

The case detail shows "not guilty" plea
entered for the "tampering with physical evidence", but no plea entered for the "conspiracy" to commit same. Still shows "awaiting disposition."

Hi Niner....YAY! It appears the divorce is final. These files are not searchable, but the Judgment of Uncontested Dissolution has been granted. :)

Oops! Don't know what happened to my post.

Thank you Tink!

I wouldn't trust KM as far as I could throw him. I hope his ex is safe or has protection of some kind, any kind from him.
It appears he sexually assaulted her. His court date is in January, I believe. Hope they throw the book at him. JMO

This is fascinating family and CT history information. How fun that you have one of the original deeds.

Thanks for sharing! :)

Thanks Tink! My family and I lived in Redding for many years and there is a lot of history there. We all lived pretty close to the John Read estate. My uncle used to go walking in the woods and would come home with several arrowheads. I guess those were used by the Indians during the Revolutionary War and there are descendants of my family who fought in that war, too.

In the history of Redding, there wasn't much mentioned about the Read family, but there is about the Sanford family who are my relatives, too.

I have a lot of things I inherited from my mother such as the deed to the land traded with the Indians, and very old letters from the Revolutionary War.

Thank you for your interest! :)

Checking for updates I came across this article I’m not sure I caught at the time. It says KM took out a $750K life insurance policy on STBX before the gas can man event. I don’t think I’d heard about the life insurance policy.
Estranged wife of attorney wrapped up in Dulos case had protective order

So what happened to KM's charges from 2019, including violating a protective order, sexual assault, and disorderly conduct? I think there was a trial set for Jan 2021 (?) but maybe those charges were pleaded out with the divorce.

I can't imagine STBX wanting to testify -- especially now that her dissolution granted and she's done with him.

The more I think about it, I think if KW had anything credible on MT, he would have talked by now in an attempt to help himself out.

There is a letter from a soldier who was fighting in the Revolutionary War. He wrote about the cannon balls and how his friend was severely injured by one exploding on him. He wrote how bitterly cold it was and he didn't know when he would get home. I assumed he was in Mass because that's where the letter was stamped. It was written to my grandfather's great aunt in Redding. I could't find who this man was, he's not in Ancestry.com.

There is a huge cemetery, Wooster Cemetery, in Danbury where many soldiers are buried, and there are other cemeteries in Redding and Bethel where they are also buried.

I think that is wonderful you are a historical society trustee!

In any event, I think if he had any thoughts about telling about MT’s part in this (assuming he knew), he would have said something. Here is what I think-Fd set it up so that each one had something to tell about the others, so that nobody could talk and get totally away without prison time, and I think it was set up this way so nobody would want to spill. This way, everybody keeps their trap shut and the state has to prove it, which is much, much more difficult without some assistance

So interesting! We enjoyed watching “Turn - Washington Spies”, so visited Setauket over the summer. Heading back to Connecticut soon, so will venture to Wooster Cemetary. Thank you!

He has a court date Jan 21, 2021 for sexual assault, disorderly conduct and unlawful restraint. He's plead not guilty on all charges.

I don't know how to drag the court docket here unfortunately.

I'm happy for you that you're going back! I can't yet because my husband is not medically well, and because of covid we will have to wait. He has all of the underlying conditions so I won't take a chance. We stay home and don't venture out anywhere. I miss my Connecticut family. I haven't seen them in a year and a half. I just miss Connecticut. It's my home. I'd like to move back there and I'm working on it.

You're right about that. I read that they want to try MT and KM together. Have you heard anything about that? I think if any deals are made it would be KM. MT lies too much. If either one knows where JFd is, I think it's KM. If only he would tell.

Neither one of them deserve any deals, they should both be served long sentences, but if they have to do it because one of them knows where JFd is, I think it would be worth it. GF and JFd's 5 children should be able to give her a proper burial.

This is not good news. Despite some of my concerns about bias in reporting the Hartford Courant is a separate voice from Hearst Publications:

re bold - I haven't heard that & nothing in my notes. I know the DA wants to consolidate all of MT's cases together - that's the only thing I've read/seen re joining charges.

I'm quoting myself, as I continue to see the tight web of figures involved in the JFD/FD case, even as it continues in probate.

Was wondering what was going on in Probate Court and re-read the following article:
Meet Evelyn Daly: The judge who will decide whether Jennifer Dulos is dead

Probate judge Evelyn Daly, who allowed Schoenhorn access to the last probate hearing, is married to Michael Daly an attorney who practices in the Bristol, CT area. Was curious and saw that he is a defense attorney Michael C. Daly | Furey, Donovan, Tracy & Daly, P.C.. In keeping with the transparency angle, what are the possibilities that a judge, whose husband practices in the same community in which John Schoenhorn practices, be slightly influenced by her husband and her former connections to the Democratic party in the area?

Several of the attorneys at the Probate Hearing in October were surprised that JS was a prominent voice at the hearing. Others have said he needed to be there to protect MT rights. I don't know.

From a Stamford Advocate article:
Weinstein said the request for Jennifer Dulos to be declared dead has nothing to do with any ongoing criminal cases.

“This is just going to be an excuse for some media frenzy around the Troconis case,” Weinstein said.

Anne Dranginis one of the lawyers for Gloria Farber, argued that Schoenhorn “does not have standing” to be a part of the discussion regarding Jennifer Dulos.

Attorney Peter Alter, guardian ad litem for Jennifer Dulos, said that even if she was still alive, the estate is “insolvent” and there would be little for her to claim.

“To what end does the prolonging of her being determined to be dead benefit her,” he said.

Weinstein said he is against staging a hearing that would involve testimony from the lead investigators in the case who wrote the arrest warrant charging Fotis Dulos with murder.

“We wouldn’t want to do anything that would undermine their efforts,” Weinstein said.

Hug implored Daly to “look at the big picture” and craft an order determining that Jennifer Dulos predeceased her husband.

“I would urge the court to adopt the suggestions that were brought up by Attorney Alter and the others here today,” he said.

In arrest warrants, Dr. James Gill, the state’s chief medical examiner, stated Jennifer Dulos suffered “non-survivable” injuries during a “homicide of violence” based on blood splatter and other evidence found in her garage.

Hug’s conclusion that Jennifer Dulos is dead is based on two lengthy paragraphs in the 35-page arrest warrant, charging Fotis Dulos with murder and kidnapping.

Based on the amount of blood and blood splatter found in Jennifer Dulos’ garage and evidence stained with blood and her DNA recovered in Hartford, Gill concluded that she was the victim of some combination of “blunt-force injuries such as bludgeoning/beating or sharp-force injuries such as a stabbing/slashing,” the
warrant said.

Judge: More evidence needed on whether Jennifer Dulos is dead

Am anxiously awaiting Judge Daly's decision about the declaration of death. It is complicated....so many attorneys...Is there a way to craft a ruling of obvious death without other legal entanglements? Or JS rushing to the Appellate and Supreme Court with further motions? UGH!

Judge calls new hearing to determine if Jennifer Dulos is dead

This article doesn't say much new about the PC matter on declaring JFD deceased. I'd like to see the judge's brief, referred to.
