At some point, the ignorance act doesn't fly and those you are trying to fool with it just conclude that you are insulting their intelligence.

MT's an educated, multilingual, "accomplished entrepreneur CEO" who has traveled the world and worked successfully with professionals in various countries, but she's too stupid to know and did not participate when FD is driving from street to street, dumping full garbage bags into assorted bins, stowing a FedEx envelope in a storm drain, and propping a cargo liner against a restaurant's exterior wall - all on the night JFD has disappeared and LE is attempting contact?

And then there is that quick glance shared between FD and MT when their friend announced at the BBQ that there is breaking news that LE is on Albany Ave taking garbage bags out of bins and that is some way associated with JFD's disappearance. Why would FD share a glance with MT at that moment?

Yeah, that was a pivotal moment for those two. The “stupid” police were never supposed to figure that out, were they?

FD sure seemed eager to get his hands on the kids and it looked a lot more like he wanted them for his purposes than to calm and soothe their anxieties over their mother's disappearance. Thank goodness LA and JFD's family and other friends were alert to the risks JFD was subject to and that the children were also at risk.

Isn't it also odd that MT claims she visited Petu at 11 am to "say 'Bye," but then she is also supposedly chatting with that same friend on the phone throughout the Albany Ave run just 8 or so hours later? Isn't goodbye typically the last conversation you have with someone until they either arrive at their destination or they return from their trip?

I thought the same thing. She must rely on Petu not to rat on her, at least for the earlier visit (I am sure the investigators have already verified whether or not MT and her friends spoke on the phone, and it would surprise me very much if Petu did not get a visit from the police about the in-person visit earlier visit in the day. This has likely created a headache for Petu. I wonder if she still thinks MT is worth the trouble?

I think "jury trial" includes all the preliminary motions, jury selection, etc. But I could be wrong.

My guess as to what 01/04/2024 court date means....

Announcement and preparations for the upcoming media barrage next week. Gives some time to prepare safety/security camera issues, regarding the jury.

As I mentioned above - NOT a hearing - but Jury Trial...

No, it's the CT system. Take note that during the week of suppression hearings in December, the "next activity/status" continued to read "Jury Trial."

Also, seems "Hearing Type" stopped populating ever since the trial date set. I believe Jan 4 is pre-trial status, making sure they haven't lost any jurors over the holiday week, etc.

ETA: Remember when Fox61 started that rumor that the Trial was starting on 12/11/23-- it's the same misunderstanding by how the data is displayed.
