It's a little fuzzy, but I kind of recall in the beginning it was either established or highly speculated that Fotis did go into her bedroom to look for some critical legal documents. IDK. I wish we could search convo's on this site because I'm pretty sure that was discussed. Hmmm...
There's a way to do it, I've done it, but you have to be VERY specific about your search terms, it's not easy. I do recall something like that, but I *think* it was speculation. I might try and search for it later.

Man, I can see why it was concluded that the amount of blood wasn't compatible with survival... And FD missed A LOT of blood evidence.

And didn't FD and MT attend a neighborhood BBQ post murder where the host suggested he and she leave considering his estranged wife was missing (a bit inappropriate to be socializing when there is a horrible tragedy in your family, i.e., the mother of your children is missing).

MT looks like she's practically knitting with those headphone cords...

Schoenhorn is not impressing me at all so far (which is not necessarily a bad think, ha). MOO.

Already sick of JS and his whining.

From my own notes (from reading search warrants and arrest affidavit):
On 5/31/19, FD & MT attended a barbecue at the waterski pond (230 Old Farms Rd, Avon). Also there, Dana Hinman, friend of FD, and Hutch Haines, property’s owner and friend of FD.

Haines mentioned it may not be appropriate for FD & MT to be there since JFD had just been reported missing. Haines suggested FD & MT return home, but they remained. Hinman asked, “where is Jennifer?” And FD responded with a comment about JFD’s expensive medical bills.

At one point, Hinman remarked about breaking news coming over cellphone about detectives in Hartford finding trash bags in receptacles along Albany Ave that may be related to JFD’s disappearance. “Fotis watched the news story and eventually looked up at Michelle and sort of locked eyes with her for a second.” FD then walked away and began making calls on his cellphone. (Hinman assumed FD was speaking with his attorney.)

Shout out of thanks to the in-court reporters and those transcribing details for this trial for us on WS. Thank you!
I intended to watch some of this today, and my ‘dear’ cable provider has very quietly extinguished or ceased to carry CourtTV. Not happy! So thank you to our dear colleagues! IMO

I'm curious what those more experienced at trial watching than I think Schoenhorn's strategy was in suggesting that he save all his cross examination of a single witness for the final time that witness might be called for direct testimony by the prosecution (if they are called multiple times).

I still don't know where I am in relation to real time court, but in the bodycam footage, he keeps focusing on that open lacrosse bag...

What did FD have for a weapon? A knife.... but, and I don't even want to think this, I wonder if any sporting equipment was missing. Baseball bat, lacrosse stick....

I wish MT would have to grow a heart so she could have a sense of how she's carried on in life, mothering and traveling and dating and whatever else Volunteer of the Year does, but JFd was frozen in time. Ceased. Deceased. How that can't tug at a person. On some level. MT didn't just assist FD in murdering his ex-wife. She was active in killing those children's mother.

She's heartless.

Garbage position IMO.

Probably so, if they don't recall those witnesses, he can vision he was denied his opportunity for cross.

What happened to the live feed???? Hot mike?

MOO, ( IANAL ) :
JS wants CONTROL. At all costs. He will try anything. The state has not shown all of their cards to him.....and he wants to see them all NOW. He wants to see just when the state will throw down the Ace for a Royal Flush. Because he wants control. Judge is very aware of this defect of his as well, so I imagine. This will be a long drawn out cry baby show, thanks to JS. It's his style, his MO.

That is clear for sure. I had wondered whether he hoped - since the prosecution did not present an opening statement - to cloud up any narrative that the prosecution might hope to build by their chosen order of presentation of direct testimony.

It was very abrupt but I've got three devices running with different start times!

JS is tiresome. (I'm specifically referencing his cross of the very first officer on the witness stand.) Acting adversarial to LE as if the city grid is somehow scandalous. Roads, hills, traffic patterns. Table pounding.

They've got nothing.

And they know it.

Now I understand why this trial is supposed to last until March! JS is going to whine and obfuscate like this every dang day. UGH.

By his absurd request and argument, the court as well as the jury would have been manipulated. ( You will remember or not...what I choose to talk about now ) It was clear as day to me. But, somehow he magically came up with some dazzling BS that almost made sense !! He's slick as snot that one.

You know, I really miss opening statements. They lay out the case and the trajectory.

Unfortunate they bypassed them.

Will there be closing statements?
