I think it may have been caught on video.IIRC the tailgate liner ( yes not cheap - I use contractor garbage bags in my tailgate instead lol)) was put by Fotis, standing end to end up againt the outside wall of a small grocery/bakery on the west bound side of Albany Ave (Scotts Jamaican Bakery?). We heard on the news from either the owner of that small store or an employee about it. It was after his trash dumping or during the process.
In my mind I see it happening - so was it caught on film ? I cannot remember.
At that time I was spenidng alot of time in Hartford and I remember driving by there. There is a MacDonald's south on the other side of Albany Rd/ rt44 a bit. And maybe a Walgreens in the area then also. The homeless guy who found the pillow and sold the knife or traded it for something, was "Fudge".
This area has many decent people trying to just get by - maybe immigrants without papers etc - as well as homeless/drug dealers etc. I have never felt unsafe driving that road in the daytime.

Witness is now explaining the pink strings in the photograph. Represent the flight pattern of the stains. Horizontal flight path.
Strings intersect at the center of photograph. The area of convergence where the strings intersect.
The goal of reconstruction is to determine a height at which the blood event occurred.
I honestly DK if FD overestimated his height (probably imo as he wore lift boots in many pics) or JD height was underestimated. I truly think 5'7" would split the difference on these issues as we tragically don't have an ME report to confirm the issue. If someone wants to fish out the FD autopsy report its out there and it would confirm his height. My recollection is the arrest document also reported his height.I think they were very similar heights... They're likely to be barefoot or wearing sandals in this picture.

It seems she may have gone around the rear of the suburban, after being hit intially closer to when she was exiting the suburban - perhaps she was a bit bent over with her hands protecting/ holding her head trying to get away fom him - she was small to begin with - 5 ft + ish. So he hit her as she was crunched over trying to escape - makes me sick to my stomach.
All I can picture is either him either stabbing her or hitting her with like a hammer or a tire iron. And she kept trying to get away but he was relentless. He def gets her again in between the suburban and RRover.
The Lt Col indicated that there are at least two mutually exclusive events - with a minimum of two separate impacts in the garage.

Dave Altimari was the Courant reporter who first reported about Fudge. Friend of Pattis, who also once wrote for the HC. I don't think DA is with the HC now. He writes for the online CT Mirror. If DA is called as a witness, wouldn't anything Fudge told him be hearsay? If you are interested in the history on this check out the Hartford Courant articles and look for reference to homeless person named "Fudge". Perhaps this case will provide credible evidence to support the existence of this story? We don't have a witness list as the public so we don't even know if the "Reporter" from the Hartford Courant is on the list to testify.
To my knowledge we have never seen any photo or video of Fudge (or photo or video of person that gave up Fudge either for that matter) or mention of Fudge from law enforcement. Given the extensive video capabilities on Albany imo to the extent this person existed then the footage from Hartford Command would exist to support it. I also don't believe the original article contained any photographs by the "Reporter" of the person interviewed (no sourcing provided iirc) and at the time the article sourcing iirc was questioned and never supported by the "Reporter" and rumours existed that the source of the article might have been Atty Pattis or a member of firm.
Could the story as reported been true? I don't think we can know unless evidence exists to support it imo.
Here is a link to one of the "Fudge" stories that to me seemed like nothing more than a series of stories describing a 'snipe hunt'. If you know you know about snipe hunts.....
HC Fudge Article September
As long as I am finding fault with this trial, I want to also include the prosecution. I think they are spending way too much time and going into way too many details that are not necessary. The Blood Stain Analyst could have been much shorter, we do not need to hear about each and every stain, just get to the point!
My concern is we are 6 days in and other than being FD's mistress, no mention of MT's involvement in this. I do not think it is a good idea to keep the jury wondering/waiting this long to get to the nitty gritty.
I would also add they have a tighter knit community unlike those in the wealthier areas and readily help one another.I grew up in New Haven (an hour away and similar to Hartford) and live right outside of Hartford now, and as someone who has lived in CT my whole life, none of this surprises me. People who need and aren't getting assistance have to do what they can and have a lot more info on the local day-to-day than those outside of the community. The haves cast such judgment and aspersions on the have-nots, and I think that is part of the reason FD chose Albany Ave to dump stuff. I also think he's an idiot for not realizing high crime areas and Hartford in general have LOTS of cameras.
The former BPA man was very good but wound more tightly.Trained at the Naval Academy. Davison is respectable but more relaxed and ready to take JS on. Should be interesting. The Prosecutor seemed to not possess a solid retrieval system for the CS photos at her disposal. There was far too much back and forth flashing on the screen of various photos with numbers only then not always open the proper photo so she'd need close it to toggle over to another file to open. She was good at extending apologies though.
The blood stain analysis expert Lt Col Mark Davison was on point as a respectful, no-nonsense kind of man IYKWIM. I'm glad someone of his caliber testified on Jennifer's behalf today. His articulate words were solemn and firm as he informed on how the blood stains of Jennifer's came to be found at the CS. Their was extreme violence in two events perpetrated upon the victim. I must say: a bullet to the head would have been quicker and less painful for Jen.
LawAndCrime a local said the memorial for Jennifer was updated at the beginning of this trial. Here's a reminder of the original FEB 2020.

I’m a little behind. Watching the nanny testimony and I don’t know why but I’m getting weird vibes from her. Her lack of emotion is a major reason. As the prosecutor took her through the day Jennifer disappeared she doesn’t cry or appear close to getting emotional. She has a detached affect. I expected she would be more emotional and give that spark of life testimony. To bring Jennifer’s loss more in focus…and we got nothing from her! JMO
My impression as well. Likely steeled herself. Partly at the direction of the Prosecution, partly to honor JFd. Righteous indignation indeed. She was very controlled. Sincere. Credible.LA spoke in glowing terms of Jennifer's sweet disposition with her children and eventual constant fear of Fotis. The Nanny wore a silver 5 charm on a chain around her neck bc she's been a Nanny of the 5 children for something like a decade.
Maybe what I sensed was more of righteous indignation. LA may be displaying a tinge of anger because she lost a wonderful friend and 5 beautiful children lost their irreplaceable mother. The violence of the heinous acts may anger LA due to the injustice of what these evil wrongdoers are accused of doing to a precious person, dear friend, lovely daughter and mother of 5. It was unnecessary overkill. #WhereIsJennifer
Lest we forget her demeanor when she needed to point to the defendant. Spoke volumes, IMO.LA spoke in glowing terms of Jennifer's sweet disposition with her children and eventual constant fear of Fotis. If DA had provided any information or specific evidence gained from his tour of Albany Avenue and time spent playing Inspector clouseau on the issue of “fudge” and such information had been investigated by law enforcement then this issue could have been put to bed once and for all.Dave Altimari was the Courant reporter who first reported about Fudge. Friend of Pattis, who also once wrote for the HC. I don't think DA is with the HC now. He writes for the online CT Mirror. If DA is called as a witness, wouldn't anything Fudge told him be hearsay?
Probably intentional. My friend who has been in the courtroom twice told me that the interpreter is located just feet away from the jury, across the room from the ones who are in alleged need of an interpreter. Just imagine how distracting that must be. If I was a juror, I would complain.Interpreter is very distracting today.
MOO.
He is constantly referring to “spatter”, as “splatter”Did JS really refer to it as spLatter?

They aren’t cheap-and they are well-made, so they are something that a person would want to take if they found it there like thatTwo thoughts here:
1. Are WeatherTek liners expensive? Because if they are, there would be a high probability someone would take them if they seemed abandoned. As was alluded to, Hartford is a high crime area, and also on the lower end of the socioeconomic spectrum. The median household income is $36k, whereas the median income in CT overall is $80k. FD 100% knew this and knew they would likely be snatched up by someone sooner than later.
2. After the blood spatter evidence today and Albany Ave coming up, it made me think of early on... A man came forward alleging to have found a knife in a trash can and taking it shortly after FD dumped trash bags. He then traded it to someone else I believe and it was never recovered. Could this really have been the murder weapon after all? Or was this debunked and I just can't recall?
I disagree-I think her emotion was anger-at the defense, at Fotis, at MTI’m a little behind. Watching the nanny testimony and I don’t know why but I’m getting weird vibes from her. Excellent point. She has no shortage of justification -- what FD did to JFd, what MT conspired in, what trauma and loss that foist upon the children, but I think it's important to remember that FD betrayed her too. She once believed him to be a quality person, a mentor. He violated all of that. He violated everything.I disagree-I think her emotion was anger-at the defense, at Fotis, at MT
