Not a fan of the Daily Mail, but is it an approved source? Glad to delete.

Good grief no plea was a bad decision, IMO
Absolutely. Ditching Atty Bowman was a HUGE error as he imo could have had a totally different result rather than this shitshow we are sadly witnessing. But, what she did was imo so bad that she could never plea as she would have to explain it. Instead she played the 'catch me if you can' strategy and so here we all are!

Law Enforcement:
"We're kinda not believing what you are saying"
"Why did you have all your receipts from the day and we've seen your car and you are NOT that organised"

MOOMOOMOOMOO

Trying to keep up with this, my brain has carpal tunnel.

Observation: defendant is one self-centered individual. I detect a lot of "I wants" like everything is hers for the taking. She seems annoyed with the divorce, custody. Wants her life the way she wants it without all that drama. Also gullible, believing every ridiculous assertion FD makes.

What I find hugely disgusting is, fine, maybe she was bamboozled by FD and thought things were one way (Jennifer costing them money) when in reality they were another (Fotis was stealing Jennifer's money) that she didn't immediately (or ever) cooperate with the police, realizing she'd been lied to too. Nope, she owns this. She wanted this. She wanted the thing (person! Not thing, not toothbrush, person, mother, Jen) gone that was interfering with her life.

I hope the jury is able to reconcile the matronly beige woman they see in the courtroom with the woman on the video, lying with ease.

They thought they were going to get away with this. Probably off to Greece for months at a time, curating professional waterskiiers out of the oldest two and schlepping AL along with them to parent the youngers. All while riding on trust funds, living the good life, in homes built with Farber money.

Fail.

Back live, jury seated.

"Stick to it" = CONSPIRACY

Detective Kimball on the stand.

After reviewing the timelines, he says again they were unaware of them during the interview the day prior.

State reminds him that Fotis told the defendant to stick to it.

I’d like to see a visual of what MT described in this first interview and the placement of the vehicles. Words are not cutting it today with this MT performance it needs visual. These people seemed to be constantly moving vehicles for whatever reason.

I did find it interesting that MT said that FD drove the Cherokee quite a bit. I thought that he drove mainly the Suburban when PG had the Raptor.
Maybe she didn’t want them looking for the suburban on videos

Yes, sadly the tax returns were sealed by Probate too if I recall. Agree nothing will be done. But, imo it makes both FD and MT grifters and MT clearly benefited from Farber money and clearly a motive here for the murder imo. MOO
I wonder if they (the prosecution) will address a motive for her to do this (aside from her deep love for Fotis).

@Alkali13, or anyone else from that area: I am curious what the area around Canton is like. Are there waterways around there that have quite a bit of private access? An abandoned quarry?

I ask because I've long noted that on MT's alibi script, the afternoon hours appear to be bookended by the issue of "rugs" (she brought them up a couple times in the interview so far). Around 11:30 or thereabouts, she calls "Barbara" to tell her that she doesn't know where the rugs are. (In the interview, she mentions a warehouse or somewhere else in Canton.). Then at the end of the day after PG has arrived in Farmington, at roughly 5, she claims she left to go check on the rugs, but then realized that we would not make it to the store before 5:30 closing, so turned back around and called Barbara to say she'd do it the next day.

This captured my attention because I've often wondered if JFD's body was wrapped (say bagged, rolled up in her own cargo liner) and so wrapped, it looked like a bound up rug. The zip ties used were long - 36" - so much longer than needed merely to restrain wrists and ankles, possibly long enough to wrap around and secure a rolled up liner.

Did MT feel a need to explain a bundle that might look like a rolled up rug that had been taken to somewhere around Canton?

ETA: Let me just add that I looked up routes. From 69 Welles Ln to Canton is roughly 80 miles (1-1/2 hours) taking Route 15 to Nichols, Route 8 thru Waterbury to Torrington, and Route 4/202 from Torrington to Canton. From Canton to 80 MS Rd is roughly 10 miles (20 minutes) through either West Avon or Avon. Total travel time is 1 hour 50 minutes.

From 10:30 am to 1:36 pm (when both FD and MT arrive together in separate vehicles to 80 MS Rd) is a little over 3 hours. So if taken to Canton, that would leave 1 hour and 10-15 minutes time to dispose of a body.
I fell asleep and I am just catching up, but Canton is fairly remote in the grand scheme of things, not near any major highways. I'm sure you looked, but a lot of Canton is green. A couple state forests/parks in the area, so there's definitely remote places.

Fun fact: Ski Sundown is in that area. I would imagine MT would be familiar. Ski Sundown | New Hartford, CT | Winter Made Better

Defendant goes way back to 2017, how she was going back and forth. Couldn't be with the kids because of court, was upset.

They ask her about now. About Fotis staring at her. They were concerned for her. They think FD was concerned that she was breaking down. You were upset, hunched over.

Why would you be so upset if what you've told us so far is true?

Because I'm innocent.

She says you're telling me he cut her up in pieces.

They ask her where she could be. Asking her property by property.

They tell her that people drove her car. That the seat and steering wheel were covered in blood. Where would they go to get cleaned up?

Defendant is asking about the Suburban, that someone drove. Now talking about the Suburban with the bumper damage driving around New Canaan.

Now they are asking her about getting the truck detailed.

IDK who discussed it but the speculation iirc was that N was purposefully not at 4JX and could have been picked up by a friends or some other person (Mama Troconis was even mentioned here iirc). IMO and that of others this change to the schedule would have had to have been prearranged with whoever was doing the pickup and would imply planning and participation most likely by MT. This no afternoon school pickup situation (and MT forgetting about it) always seemed odd to many I believe because the school schedule was fairly consistent in terms of drop off and pick ups by all accounts.
I think it was the last day of school for the year for NB-someone correct me if I am wrong.

Asking her if the Thule was on the Suburban on the 24th.

Asks her about the locks at the properties. Asks if FD has rings of keys.

There has been some very fast back and forth questioning/answering involving the property damage that MT had incurred on FD's 2015 Chevy Suburban the week prior to 5/24 and a visit to a repair shop.

Did I hear correctly that MT was asking for a replacement Suburban to drive while FD's Suburban was in the shop for repairs? ("because FD needs a Suburban for the kids" - to fit all the kids).

Asking the defendant about keys.

Pause video to ask the detective what the defendant was being shown. A photo of keys recovered.

Baldwin keys...

They ask her if she has any question.

She brings up a reddish truck that PG has.

State pauses video.

State asks detective if they had mentioned PG during the interview. No. Witness testifies that the defendant hadn't indicated the truck was at 80 MS but later did.

Video resumes.

Asking the defendant about Mark, a friend of FD who gave him a lot of money. Asked if she knew why FD would call him.

Her attorney asks about additional charges. Doesn't think she should be charged as an accessory.

He says she might be inaccurate but she's not lying.

Wow!! Only able to listen today ... have not been able to watch. Going to rewind at the end of this and check out body language!

If she can afford to appeal. Her Fundly account has been stagnant for two days now.
They haven’t even raised half of what they aimed to raise, after extending the deadline. And they weren’t looking for a lot, for “legal fees”. That fundraiser did not do well.

They're asking her about plans. Worried if FD plans to leave the country, the defendant might be a loose end. Worried about her.

Her attorney says this is a lot for her, to realize someone she loves could do this and involve her.
