Well, keep in mind that this is the cellphone log prepared by MT. So, IMO it cannot be relied upon without being independently verified.

However, her own log refutes the statement that she spent most of her time on Albany Ave talking on the phone with family and friends, as JAS said in his question.
Totally agree that an uncorroborated cell phone list is of no value and I hope Jury sees this BS for what it is. My issue is that as her cell phone has been tossed from Trial so IDK if we will ever know who she was talking and/or texting with AND her story on who she was talking to I believe has changed 3x. What also makes me angry is that there was no State's objection to the log. And, why write Petu in this log?

TP has been trying to bring in Mama Traconis as an alibi witness and the Albany phone call seems to be one way he is trying to offer this up imo. How he can do this without corroborated evidence of an actual phone call with Mama Troconis is something I don't understand. Mama Troconis can simply get up on stand and lie which she has done in the past in this case where she was a witness pretrial imo.

Maybe, although I don't recall anyone having referred to it as such in testimony, just portico and something like archway. Porte cochere sounds way fancier, haha
Portico is an interior entrance typically to front of house (usually some kind of porch covered by roof) while so far as I know a porte cochere is designed for vehicles to pull up to house and unload and is covered by a roof/overhang to protect from weather.

JS: if your presence, did Detective Klabbe say there were body parts in the bags? Witness recalls that they said they were concerned that could be the case.

She got very upset when you said that? She appeared to be. And was that a technique to elicit a reaction? We were trying to elicit the truth.

Asks about the Porsche.

Asks about telling MT that JFd's Suburban driver's seat was covered in blood. Witness said, no, we believed the person would have been covered in blood.

And there was no blood on the steering wheel? That it wasn't even blood.

Was that a technique or a mistake?

Judge is schooling --

Was the purpose of telling Det. Klabbe MT there was blood or could be blood on the steering wheel, was it to elicit a response from MT?

Were you surprised when he said?

No, I was not surprised.

Did you know if there was blood on the steering?

[I think it might be Klavy.]

I'm still unclear on whether MT's cellphone records, properly gained through an approved search warrant BEFORE CT's cellphone was seized WILL be allowed in. Warrant was approved 5/27 at 8:06 pm and records were returned to LE from the provider on 5/28.

The seizure of her actual cellphone device (seized days later, during 4JC search), and any information downloaded from that seized device has been suppressed because a search warrant for that device and its contents had not been sought before (and exigent circumstances did not apply as LE had sufficient time to get a warrant).

If the cellphone records ARE allowed in, then whether or not there were calls and to/from whom and for how long can be determined and any claims about incoming/outgoing calls revealed as true or false.

JS is ... exhausting. Det Kimball deserves the highest award for patience, as does the Judge. MOO

JS is asking if between June 2nd and June 6th, had not returned to 4J.

Objection. Sustained, relevance

JS: in the video we hear Colangeko permission to return to 4J to get clothes and she hadn't been back there since May 31st.

Did you interview FD? No. Each time you interviewed MT, did you get new information from MT about FD? Yes

And you were that during this time, that FD was allowed to live back at 4J?

Objection. Sustained, outside the scope.

Lunch recess until 2pm.

He truly is. Not sure I can listen much longer.

I don't think I've ever been to a house with one irl, I'm always learning new stuff here!

Thank you guys for the updates I just couldn't stomach tp going on with his uselessness

Same here. Unfortunately JS has had all weekend to prepare for this, so we might be listening to this cross for a while.

So ready for re-direct where so many of these questions (and JS testifying) will get back on track. I feel for this detective!

The terms matter ONLY imo in it shows lack of preparation, corner cutting and truly just sheer laziness by Defence. If he can't be bothered to look up proper term or come up with some other description then what other slipshod laziness might be involved with his entire defence of MT?

Little things matter imo and if you are going to spend time on cross with something that to your case is supposedly important then get it right imo or don't bring it up.

FWIW this small detail of calling an architectural feature what it is, is imo reflective of the larger and more important issue imo that we have seen from the Defence as to the license TP has taken so far in his descriptions, summaries of conversations with additional narrative with editorial content imo.

Judge R imo hasn't called much of this behaviour out and State has objected to some but not all.

Frankly the situation with TP is such that I believe an admonishment from Judge is in order as he isn't asking clear questions and he is trying to bring comments/information not in evidence yet into his "TESTIMONY CROSS".

We are seeing a witness on the stand not even seeing what the question is and this can lead to witness errors which is PRECISELY why TP is doing what he is doing imo (that and bringing in direct testimony by his client who he will no doubt NOT put on the stand). Witnesses can ask to restate questions and Det. Kimball has done this but I wish he would do it more as imo its very much warranted.

MOO and MAD!

People like FD never have a shortage of girlfriends for even 5 minutes.
Yes, I'm waiting to see at what point he started 'reconnecting' with AC! I bet MT wants to know that as well. Still thinking about the trial testimony that FD was texting JF 'about getting back together' while still telling MT that they would be together with the 5 Dulos children eventually at 4Jx....

So many lies....so much manipulation imo too.

The Porsche that had the seats removed and installed inside the red Tacoma truck was registered to Jennifer? Did I hear that right?
Is that the same Porsche MT described Fotis driving it too fast and had a car crash as a result?
Seats from Jennifer's Porsche were removed and Jennifer's car's seats were then put into the Tacoma because her blood was the Tacoma seats so they had to be destroyed but weren't. Is that right? TIA

JS mentions the 3rd intrerview/video, the August one. Testifies MT was still living at the hotel in Avon.

  • #617
JS is showing a 2016 photo of FD with short hair. Another 2016. Another 2017.

JS says isn't it right that he had his hair shaved close before? Yes but not as short as when we encountered him.

Did you doubt her that this want the first time he had close cropped hair for water-skiing? No

JS asks if MT told then that the Tscoma was at 80 MS at the June 2nd and the June 6th interview? No she did not.

Were you able to confirm that PG was in New Canaan?

Yes. Through video.

  • #618
Despite the testimony JAS elicited from Det. Kimball, MT's timeline DID mention heading out to pick up the rugs, then turning around because the place closed at 5:30 and she would not have enough time to get there before that. IIRC, that was the final entry on the timeline.

JS is asking about the timeline. Did MT put the drive to Albany on the timeline? No.

Did she put the Starbucks on the timeline? No. Her last entry was 5pm [5:10pm? 5:20?]

JS shows new photos, witness identifies MT and FD in Starbucks.

And she told you she purchased a sandwich? Yes. And it tasted terrible and she threw it away? Yes

Did it mention PG and his dirtbike?
Did it mention the rug? Closing st 5:30?
Did it mention her daughter's program?
And mention of the police coming to the house to notify them?
Did it mention FD going jogging?

So it wasn't a complete timeline? Apparently it was not --

Cross ended

Redirect

McGuinness asks witness about being asked about MT hearing FD in his office.

Objection. JS objects to "heard".

State plays a clip. Witness says she saw FD in the back of the office with KM.

State: did she say she saw him or she assumed? She said she saw him.
