I hope state shares a list with the jury of all of the adjectives she used in both interviews because I was quite impressed with how articulate she spoke English and felt it was quite the opposite of a language barrier.

SAME. I legit was expecting much worse from her, but she is clearly fluent. I do understand having a translator in a court since there will be lots of words that she may not know (especially since people tend to think in their native tongue), but the idea that there was a language barrier that affected the interviews is laughable.

From Claudia's statement, I am guessing JS will argue as his defense that the only reason the State proceeded with bringing MT to trial is because FD offed himself and is not available to be tried, so SOMEONE HAD TO PAY and poor little Michi was left holding the bag.

Nope, MT statement about thunderstorms seems unlikely but not impossible imo given the graphic that TP posted that indicated some weather event at the time in vicinity of 4Jx.

Truly its hard to say on CT storms as popcorn storms happen frequently depending on the season. You could have dark skies and lightening in one place and blue sky calm weather a short distance away. These mini weather events happen quickly and then disappear.

Perhaps that is what happened?

But, the issue is that officer checked the weather with weather underground and another source that I don't recall and didn't see any storm activity but it was at a place away from Farmington (local airport I think).

I think my initial comment was simply to question whether a statement about weather that MAY have been true or May NOT have been true could somehow be translated more broadly into confirmation that MT was telling the truth in all aspects of her various interviews! People debate weather all the time, MT daughter could have been having a nightmare or difficulty sleeping etc. Who knows what all might have been going and we have no confirmation that MT actually did leave her bedroom and spend night with her daughter.

Its just odd that in all the hours of testimony we all have watched here now for 2 days that the ONE issue TP raises has to do with the weather.

Claudia, can you tell the public why she lied to the police about Fotis being at home that morning, about why she said Kent was there that morning? She lied and those lies prove she is guilty, not innocent.

She described what they were wearing and no, she was not confused about the questions.

I answered more generally below but to truly answer the thunderstorm issue I think you'd have to pull up the specific radar map for the precise coordinates/location 4Jx. I claim zero knowledge about upstate CT but I do understand radar.

TP put up his chart on the weather map he had quickly so I couldn't exactly see his source and where that map was generating its data from and it imo was impossible to say where 4Jx on his map.

I'm basing my answer on what I quickly saw from him. It did look like there was some weather cell in the vicinity of 4JX but how close was not disclosed.

But, I have no idea of his source or the quality of TP data.

I think the issue with what LE did was refer to a map that was much further away and if there is a seasonal popcorn storm over/near 4Jx then it might not have shown on the map they looked at as it was too far away.

Could the MT statement about the weather have been true? Possibly imo. Could you extrapolate from the MT statement about the weather to somehow confirm one way or another that she left her bedroom and spent night in daughters room on another floor? imo no. I think TP was trying to again confuse the Jury in what I think is a somewhat convoluted argument and I do think the State should have objected.

Shown that it was raining somewhere in central Connecticut at 1 am on the 24th

Showing that MT might have been truthful about that

That no one who knew FD thought him capable of murder

That she uses her phone to remember times

That she wears thong underwear

That she was arrested at night, in her pajamas, in front of her daughter

That she often speaks in the present tense and occasionally uses a Spanish word

That, if she were to write out something for her attorney, that the witness wouldn't take it.

Today I think we got the first glimpse of exactly how long the 3 conspirators were actively working to get FD custody of the 5 children as they represented income to support himself and MT, neither of whom seemed to want to work.

We also learned I think that KM was far from being unknown to MT as he was allegedly the one to draw up the paperwork for her to obtain a protective order or register her fear about being under threat from an allegedly (per MT) dangerous or threatening JF who she had never met in her life. MT claimed that she was in fear and she was fearful for her daughter. Farmington PD supposedly told her she was ok.... No paperwork to support this claim was presented to LE during the interview but I'm sure it might resurface in the Defence presentation.

What a few days with these videos. I think you could task a team of 10 professionals to watch those interrogations and you would get a binderful imo detailing the inconsistencies.

Stunning stuff to watch and so many inconsistencies, vague statements, misdirection, redirections etc. All in all I think if I had to come up with a single word to describe what was going on was DECEPTION.
