I repeat it often -- criminals forget to unknown what they're not supposed to know. Can't recall how he worded it but something like "what happened" because to him it was a singular event, something to get through, get to the other side of. And this line: about people thinking he's a monster because if what's portrayed in the media and in the arrest warrant. That's right, Fotis, based on the facts, you are a monster. He knew about the blood evidence. Something terrible happened to the mother of his children. He didn't say that they're waiting for someone to be brought to justice! Which is what an innocent person would say or a person who was trying to play the part of one, if he weren't so self-smug. Fotis basically says he's waiting for it all to blow over. Same thing he told the defendant. Stay strong. It'll be over soon. He was more concerned about his time in jail and having to wear *gasp* orange than the tragic death of JFd and the pain the children were in. I'm reminded of the Cousin It interview given by Letecia Stauch, just days after she shot, stabbed, poisoned, burned, bludgeoned and murdered her stepson. When asked if she had a message for him, she said that, when he comes home, she wants everyone to apologize to her....
Fotis was waiting for it to blow over. The inconvenience was to him. That is one huge ugly ego.
And even his last act, it wasn't out of remorse or realization, he just didn't want jail.
He's gone now but the damage he did lives on. That's his legacy.
I remain on awe of what GF, LA and CL are doing, keeping JFd's memory alive. Protecting and loving and growing Jennifer's children with grace and class. That is her legacy.

Thank you for this brilliant reminder about FD and who he was.
Your words brought it all full circle for me, and I cried yet again.
What a tragedy all around for the family and friends and how brilliant GF has been to keep together a family broken apart by the hate, anger, jealousy and quest for revenge by FD and MT and KM (I see them all together and all in on this murder) as you so clearly point out in your OP.
I'm glad the FD interviews were posted again as its been a long time since they aired. Did I enjoy rewatching them? NO. But they were a good reminder about the power of narcissists and sociopaths to perpetrate evil on others, so I'm glad I rewatched them now amidst the trial of MT as they imo are HIGHLY RELEVANT to understand all that went on in this murder of JF.
The FD interviews hit home for me as a reminder of why we are sitting here watching the MT trial as she was the 'other half' of FD in this horrific crime perpetrated against JF and their children imo. I can just picture the couple sitting in the vast family room of 4JX having popcorn and watching the horror flicks that FD loved to watch and plotting their revenge against the one person they felt was responsible, JF. Its sick imo as are they BOTH.
But after watching a couple of the FD interviews again what struck me this time around was how similar FD responses were in the interviews to much of what we saw and heard from MT in the 6 hrs of interviews we have seen so far.
We never were able to do these comparisons before as we never had seen the full MT interviews. Seeing the parallels between these two individuals shook me and absolutely confirmed that FD and MT are two sides of the same coin. Sure the MT interviews had the classic latina faux drama of MT designed to manipulate her audience as there were no tears ever, but the substance of what MT was saying really was quite similar to that of FD in my opinion but just dressed in a different veneer and lacked the polished responses of FD. But, imo at their core FD and MT were perfectly matched as there was nothing either wouldn't do to accomplish their goals. Nothing. And they proved it with their murder of JF imo.
Its odd how responses to these interviews hit us each differently, some laugh, some cry as we all respond differently to tragedy I guess. I cried because nothing that happened in this tragedy needed to happen and the Dulos children didn't need to lose their mother. Time after time over the course of the divorce we saw from FD and MT choices in behaviour based in anger, hate, greed, jealousy and revenge and at NO TIME DO WE SEE EITHER FD OR MT thinking of either the Dulos children or MT daughter. Never imo as they simply cared about themselves first always.
But, there was one phrase in the MT first round of interviews that I don't think I will ever forget as to me it told me everything that I could possibly ever know about MT. I will have to go back and find the time stamp but for purposes of here I will just report the 'jist' of her response as I recall it.
LE kept asking MT for info about where JF might be, and per the non Alibi scripts, MT was saying over and over again that she didn't know and then repeating things from the list, but LE wasn't giving up and so would redirect MT every time the non alibi script nonsense was started by her and LE kept pressing a bit harder to see if there would be any response from MT and it was obvious IMO that MT was getting irritated and frustrated and later quite angry as she wasn't controlling the narrative in the interview and she finally said to LE,
"I've already spent three weeks on this".....
Let that sink in.
I actually think that response might be one of the few true responses from MT in the many hours of interviews.
I remember rewinding 30 sec and then again to see the entire clip to make sure I heard it correctly. Sadly I was correct. MT was actually ANGRY at that time when JF was still 'missing' that her life had been inconvenienced and interrupted by all the time she was being required to spend with LE. She just wanted to repeat the non alibi script and go back to her life.
MT didn't care about missing/murdered JF imo here one bit. JF was someone she had never met who was standing in the way of what she wanted at the time which was a life with FD along with the JF money and children's trust funds. MT cared about nothing other than herself and not once even asked if the Dulos children were ok (she knew them 'well' she said) and she had to be prompted by LE to even consider her own daughter as part of her decision making process.
In FD and MT I see nothing but hate and anger towards JF and by extension GF and I think these two very basic emotions touched every single decision made by both FD and MT in their decision to eliminate the person they held responsible for their "inconvenience" and inability to obtain immediate financial gratification to live the life they felt ENTITLED to.
FD use of the word "MONSTER" in one of the interviews to describe what he felt others might think of him, was always one choice of his that stayed with me because I think it was perhaps one accurate response from him in that particular interview. I think he realised that what he had done was monstrous but clearly would never admit it or feel guilt about it either imo!
FWIW I believe FD AND MT to be monsters who feel no guilt and certainly no remorse for anything they have done, so I very much look forward to watching the remainder of the State's presentation at the trial and finding out what the jury thinks.
